Favorite Barry Gibb collaboration: Guilty, with Barbra Streisand

I remember hearing Someone Belonging to Someone once or twice when it came out - it should have been a bigger hit. It's a shame that some very good material from them got overlooked in the early-to-mid 80s.

ITA that many of their songs from the 80s were unfairly overlooked. I chalk it up to the "disco backlash".
"Someone Belonging To Someone" has always been one of my favorite ballads from them. I think one of the reasons why it didn't fair well on the charts is that it's from the craptastic movie "Stayling Alive". I love practically that whole soundtrack.

I think Barry's solo album and Shine, Shine single was also a victim of that backlash, unfortunately. But I'm glad that the Brothers are finally beginning to receive the recognition they deserve. They are truly one of the most impressive groups in rock history.
