Was Bruce with them that early? 5. The Sheryl Crow song? Yep that's it! Also known as Holy Holy. I always wanted that album! Bruce joined in '65, the first single he was on was California Girls, which was on Summer Days and Summer nights. Upon closer look, though, I'm going to say this picture is just slightly pre-Pet Sounds era. Mike has started growing a beard, but it's not as full as it is on the Pet Sounds cover. No, "All I Wanna Do" is a Brian/Mike song from the Sunflower album. There is also a Dennis song from 20/20 called "All I Want TO Do" Yeah, I spaced on the title, I just know Dennis recorded the Holy Holy song for Bamboo, but it was never released. Ultimate Christmas is my least played Beach Boys CD (Next to "Summer In Paradise"). I got the Sunshine Dreams cassette about ten years ago, it was my first introduction to a lot of that material. I played it so much the tape won't even play now. It squeals all the way through. Good thing I got all the albums on CD now...

I just think of that being such an early album. Yeah, I knew it wasn't Sheryl's song. You mentioned before about not being big on their Christmas album. That surprised me because I think it's such a good album. Summer in Paradise-I have a book that lists "Great album covers you wouldn't want to open". I think this should go on that list! LOL! I'd like to pick that up on vinyl, although I probably have most of the songs.

I know what you mean about it being hard to list just a few favorites - they have such an amazing catalog. All I Wanna Do is an excellent song, definitely one of the highlights of Sunflower. I agree about their albums being underrated, especially the Smiley Smile through Holland era. All are very solid, and more than stand up to other artists' material of that time.
