Anyone have musicians in the family?

I have started listening to a bit more jazz lately due to family influences. My cousin has a jazz trio that plays local clubs/restaurants etc. I try to follow where he's playing and then my brother, my hubby and I go to hear them play. They self produced a CD a couple of years ago and it's not too bad!

My friend's sister also has a jazz trio called Avalon. They have put out several CDs. Her group has performed all over the world, including a long stint in Japan and another long stint on an Alaska cruise.

Just wondering if any of the other members have family or friends who are musicians, whether they are locally known or a little more famous.

I realize that it isn't Jazz but my Dad used to play with Buck Owens occasionally.

No one in my family plays music professionally, but I did go to school with two guys who have become somewhat well-known, though not household names. One is a Nashville session musician and drummer in a country group, and the other released an alternative rock CD a few years ago.

My grandmother played piano, my mom played flute and piccolo in the high school band(and, I think, made All-County one year), and my husband was a music major in high school(clarinet, sax, drums, and lead and bass guitars).
