She had some pretty big hits in the mid to late 80's (The Way We Make A Broken Heart was my favorite) and then seemed to disappear. Haven't heard anything from her in years.

I just read an article about her in some magazine. She had some sort of serious throat problem--polyps, I think. Anyway--she thought she may never be able to sing again. I guess she's been working with a voice coach, and a couple of doctors have been helping her to strengthen her vocal chords, and she's finally recorded a new album after (I think) 7 years--not sure if it's been released yet, but if it hasn't, it should be soon. If I remember right, I think it's called "Rules of Travel". I'm pretty sure the article said there's a duet on the album with her dad, Johnny.

I'm not a huge country fan, but I thought she did some nice stuff back when she was on the charts pretty regularly.

I'd love to hear a duet with her father, country legend Johnny Cash.It was a shame about her mom passing away. She was a pioneer in the business as well.

Hi JP!
If you'll keep an eye out for "100 Greatest Songs of Country Music", (Shown, not surprisingly, on CMT) she is on there commenting on several of the songs.
Plus her song, "7 Year Ache" made the list. (Though I don't remember its ranking)
