I remember this topic was done on YL years ago, but I don't think we've ever done it here on the Click. I thought it might make for some fun discussion.
Have you ever known anyone who reminded you very much of a musician/singer?
Some look-alikes I've known:
In school I knew a girl who had facial features very similar to Rod Stewart's - in fact, she could very easily have passed for his daughter. She even had the blond shag hairstyle that Rod favored in the '70s and early '80s.
Mark's best friend in high school looked very much like a young Emitt Rhodes, during his time with the Merry-Go-Round, except with slightly shorter hair than Emitt's.
One of Mark's bosses from years ago always reminded me very much of Randy Owen, the lead singer of Alabama, as he appeared in the late '80s.
The family doctor Mark and I saw in Virginia the last few years we lived there looked very similar to Lindsey Buckingham, during the Mirage/Tango in the Night era, when he had shorter hair.
And last but not least -
The resemblance is not as strong now as he's gotten older, but when Mark was in his mid-to-late teens, he looked almost exactly like Carl Wilson of the Beach Boys did at the same age (except for a difference in height - Mark is about 6'5, Carl was 5'10). I came across a graduation photo of Carl in one of the books I have, and was startled by the resemblance to Mark's own high school pictures - it was almost uncanny. Mark has never worn a beard, but I sometimes wonder if he grew one (and got contacts), would he look like Carl did in his later years?
