I heard a song on the radio yesterday. It has that 1960's feel with the organ music. The only lyric I can remember is "I will love you forever". I'm pretty sure its from the 60's, as it was on the classic rock station.
I'm going nuts trying to find this song. I don't know the title or who sings it! Please help! Thanks!!! xoxox

Was it a girl singer? If so, it might be "I Say a Little Prayer", by Aretha Franklin or Dionne Warwick. Did it sound like them?

I Googled that phrase as a lyric, and of several pages of results, that seems the most promising, as most of the other songs it came up with are newer.

It was a guy singer. If I had a mic I'd record myself singing the lyric lol. Cause when I typed it into Google, it came up with every other song on the planet EVER except for the song that I'm looking for. Let me try to "sing-type" it LOL IIIIIIII will love you foreeeeeeever I know that won't help lol. Thanks everyone for trying to help

Could it be "Please Love Me Forever" Origially done by Cathy Jean and The Roommates in '61 --- but covered by Bobby Vinton in 1967
Check out the lyrics.
Please love me forever Don't forget me ever Just listen to my plea Please don't stop loving me
You're in my dreams nightly Don't take my love lightly Begging on bended knee Please don't stop loving me
Oh, when I lay me down to sleep I pray the Lord your love I'll keep If I should die before I wake I'll come back for you That's no mistake
Oh, I'll love you forever Can't forget you ever Our love was meant to be Please don't stop loving me
I'll love you forever Can't forget you ever Our love was meant to be Please don't stop loving me

Thanks H2IZCOOL , but its not that one.
The one I'm looking for has that 60's style organ music and was played on a classic rock station (during their 60's/70's lunch hour show). Like, it sounded like the group could be the Grass Roots but I looked up their songs and I couldn't find it. But it has that style of music. Or like the kind of musical style of "house of the rising sun" by the Animals.
I'm going nuts lol. Thanks for your help everybody!

Nights in white satin, Never reaching the end, Letters Ive written, Never meaning to send. Beauty Id always missed With these eyes before, Just what the truth is I cant say anymore. cause I love you, Yes, I love you, Oh, how, I love you. Gazing at people, Some hand in hand, Just what Im going thru They can understand. Some try to tell me Thoughts they cannot defend, Just what you want to be You will be in the end, And I love you, Yes, I love you, Oh, how, I love you. Oh, how, I love you. Nights in white satin, Never reaching the end, Letters Ive written, Never meaning to send. Beauty Id always missed With these eyes before, Just what the truth is I cant say anymore. cause I love you, Yes, I love you, Oh, how, I love you. sometimes the damnest things happen. I was listening to my youtube playlists, and up comes a song from the late 60s, lots of nice organ work, and then I hear them sing "I will love you forever".
It's Mashmakhan "As the Years Go By". It's on youtube.

I never would have thought of that song in a million years. I don't think I HAVE thought of that song in at least 30 years.

Turns out the song is from 1970. I said the 60's...I wasn't far off! I did some research on the band and they're from my hometown! How awesome is that? I actually seem to have some personal connections with this band. I never would've thought that! Jerry Mercer (April Wine) was part of this band at one point and a few years ago I went camping with his son. They live like 20 minutes away from me. LOL so awesome!

I have a needledrop of the album the song is from... Dawn, I hate to sound like a real duh, but what is a needledrop? I've never heard that word before. It's a recording from a vinyl source - LP or 45 - that has been digitized and/or burned to CD. The original Mashmakhan albums are all currently out of print I believe.
