Ok - hopefully this is one you'll find a little easier without being blatantly easy.
Think back to elementary school for this one.....
He is trampling on the village where the grapes are wrapped and stored, They have seen the fateful lightning of His terrible slick sword His troops is marching on
You know the drill. Post your guess, and I'll give the answer later tonight.

This ones a little too easy. Battle Hymn of the Republic by Julia Ward Howe. Remember the "other" wrong lyrics? Glory glory Hallelujah. Teacher hit me with a ruler I bopped her off the bean, with a rotten tangerine And her teeth came marching down.

Yeah, I'm having a hard time finding ones that aren't too easy, or aren't completely unrecognizable. I live in a huge Civil War area, so I wasn't so sure how many people in other parts of the country would know this one. I never heard the ditty you provided though. Anyway, the correct words are: He is trampling out the vineyard where the grapes of wrath are stored He hath loosed the fateful lightning of his terrible swift sword His truth is marching on

Our class was a bit more violent: We met her at the door with a loaded .44 And she don't teach no more! As far as trampling on the vintage, we also said "trampling on the village," prompting my music teacher to say, " No, no, no! Trampling on the vintage! The Jolly Green Giant tramples on the village!"
