That's sad about your stepsister's stepsister, Adam. I can understand how your stepsister would still be devastated. It's something you never totally get over. It's so weird seeing "Stepsister's stepsister", but what else do you call it, you know? Actually, my stepsister (technically, half sister), I always just call "sister", and she called her's sister. But there was no blood between she (the deceased) and I. I was around her more than a handful of times in my life though, moreso as a kid. She was a nice girl. I think the last time I saw her was my (half) brother's wedding, and we had a blast with her. The really sad thing is, she was on that plane heading to Cali to start a new life helping out a struggling gymnastics team.

That story about the woman on the 100th floor is enough to give you nightmares. BTW, you correctly named the three songs, Railyn. Yay, but a sad yay. When she told me that story I instantly started crying. I wanted to ask if she was ever recovered, but I just couldn't come up with a nice way of asking. The last thing I saw said they'd identified about half of the deceased, and they were still working. It breaks my heart that some families will never get closure. Everyone deserves final rest. But I'm sure that some people instantly (and literally) vanished from this earth and went "home". I used to have a lovely e-mail about God's amazing presence during the tragedy, but it was stored on my old computer, and it fried. It was really comforting to read. I'll have to see if I can find it and post it.
