Cheap Trick guitarist Rick Nielsen was one time in the Nazz (I read in one source), as was Todd Rundgren. Allmusic.com does not say that Rick Nielsen was with The Nazz. The Nazz vocalist Stewkey and Rick Nielsen both joined a group called Fuse. ...but that's close enough. As a producer, Todd Rundgrenn produced records for many artists including the classic album "Bat Out of Hell" for Meat Loaf

Meatloaf (with one "Stoney") once recorded on Motown's Rare Earth label, as did R. Dean Taylor.

Dion was a "lonely teenager", and Bobby Vinton was just plain ol' "Mr. Lonely".

Bobby Vinton was Mr. Lonely & Elvis Presley was the Lonely Man.

In 1967, The Spencer Davis Group had a top 20 hit titled I'm a Man. Two years earlier, The Yardbirds also had a top 20 hit with a song titled I'm a Man.

The Yardbirds' first hit was For Your Love. With a different song of that same title, "For Your Love" was also the first hit 1 1/2 years later for Peaches and Herb.

Peaches and Herb were recording artists with a fruit in their name. Another group with fruit in their name was Moby Grape

Moby Grape sang "Omaha". Singing of another Midwestern City was Wilbert Harrison in "Kansas City".

Wilbert Harrison sang about Kansas City, home of the Kansas City Royals. Kiss recorded Detroit Rock City, Detroit being the home of the Detroit Tigers, another American League baseball team.

You could add "two teams going nowhere", Woody. - Speaking of two teams going nowhere, I am going to see your Dodgers play my Nats tonight. Anyway.... Kiss, a group with four letters in their name, had a big hit, Beth, that also has four letters. Another group and song with the same credentials are Styx with Babe.
