Eddie Cochran was inducted posthumously into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987, as was Marvin Gaye. Wow, I didn't remember Eddie was inducted that early! Marvin covered Heard it Through the Grapevine as did CCR.

One of CCR's biggest hits was 'Proud Mary', also a top-10 hit for Ike and Tina Turner. Once Tina went solo she had a bunch of top 20 hits including the 1986 duet "It's Only Love" with Canadian Bryan Adams.

Bryan Adams once recorded a song with Sting.
(Rod Stewart sang on it also, but since his name has already come up a few times in this game, let's go with Sting.)

Patsy recorded for Decca Records, as did Brenda Lee. Brenda was one of the top two female vocalists of the late '50s-early '60s period. They were both pretty sorry performers. "I'm Sorry" was Brenda's contribution, while "Who's Sorry Now" was recorded by Connie Francis.

Connie recorded a song called 'Vacation' - 20 years later, a different song with that title would be a hit for the Go-Gos.
