OK. We're gonna post this a few minutes early so I can get to bed. The current score: Pete70s 45 55dodger 20 Sat 15 DJ Dave 14 Laura 13 Railyn 12 Rali 9 TripleJ 7 DJ's mom 5 Lora 5 Dawn 1 Everybody Else 0 ..and of course if Pete scores at least 5 points he is crowned as the 2nd Name That Theme Champion in history! We have a SIX point game. It is another componernt game. I'll give you the artists that recorded the songs that lead to the first three components. You give me the songs and the components. If you have the three components correctly, not only will the theme become known to you very easily, you will also be able to pick up the sixth point by naming the artist who had only one top 40 hit, the title of which is the fourth component. Now: the three artists: The Beach Boys Annette (Funicello) The Kingston Trio and......... Name That Theme!

Who was the 1st one? (Sorry, I don't remember; I've only started playing this game recently.) DJ Dave won the first game back in 2003.

OK, kiddies, we are getting nowhere. So it's time for a clue or two, and the max point total for one person is now 5. - So Pete must answer correctly in the next 24 hours to end it on this game.
The clues: Two of the components are in the title, including the song by Annette. If you knew the title of the song by the fourth artist (the one you have to come up with) you would instantly know the theme.
Good luck!

Beach Boys: Sloop John B Annette: Tall Paul Kingston Trio: M.T.A. (Fight the fare increase! Vote for George O'Brien! Get poor Charlie off the M. T. A.) Theme: John, Paul, George, Ringo. The Beatles, Fab Four, etc Bonus: Lorne Greene had his only top 40 (and a #1 song) with the song Ringo. Way to go, Woody! Perfect! I was hoping that the Kingston Trio part wouldn't be too far buried to figure out. I'm betting that you got John and Paul first and were looking for ANY Kingston Trio lead to George. So that's five points for you, and the score is now: Pete70s 45 55dodger 25 Sat 15 DJ Dave 14 Laura 13 Railyn 12 Rali 9 TripleJ 7 DJ's mom 5 Lora 5 Dawn 1 Everybody Else 0 ...so the game continues! For the next one, I'll start the game tomorrow. - Only thing is, I'm leaving for Beijing real early Saturday, and won't be back until Saturday night a week later. So if the game isn't solved before I leave, you can continue to guess to what ever degree you want, with of course, no additional clues. First person or persons with the right answer(s) wins. The game will stay at full value until my return, and then if there's still no winner, we'll start the clues and point deductions, etc. So - next game starts tomorrow!
