Michael Franks Alabama Daft Punk OK. First hint: One of the above made it to #1 on a Billboard chart (not necessarily pop) with the title in question.

George Winston Wes King World Wide Message Tribe
A hint: There is also a song that was a pop hit that has the same title as these, and it's _sort_ of the same song as the George Winston song--and sort of not. They're both based on the same melody, and happen to have the same title, but are very different in rhythm and style.

I could come up with 2 possibilities...
Joy (coundn't seem to find a hit on it for Wes King...)
I believe (and I couldn't find a hit on it for George Winston)

The Wes King one, BTW, is from a compilation CD with a bunch of different contemporary Christian artists. And the George Winston one is on a new age compilation. It may be on a regular CD of his also, but I think the Wes King song is just on a compilation. But I'm not 100% sure...

Adam? Should we go ahead and give it to Dave? He did get the right title (I will reveal which one after you respond to this).

OK. "Joy" is correct.
The George Winston track is based on the Bach classical piece "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring", which is also where we get Apollo 100's "Joy" from the late '60s. (I tried to give a hint with their name when I said "I'm not 100% sure" in one of my clues--lame, I know...) Anyway, you can find Winston's take on the song on Windham Hill's compilation CD "Conversations with God".
Wes King's "Joy!" (with an exclamation point) appears on the CD "Songs from the Loft", which was a bunch of CCM performers that did a bunch of songs with a youth group that met at the farm of Amy Grant and her then-husband Gary Chapman.
And rounding out our trio of "Joy" songs is the World Wide Message Tribe, a dance-pop Christian outfit from the UK. I have 2 CD's of theirs--"Revived" and "Jumping in the House of God"--that both contain this song.
Your turn, Dave!
