Shouldn't that be "Elmo and Almo"?
If so, they were in fact Gary Bonner and Alan Gordon, once of the Magaicians, who wrote "Happy together" for the Turtles. And their minor hit was "When the good sun shines".
Next: Ronnie Hawkins

Shouldn't that be "Elmo and Alm o"? If so, they were in fact Gary Bonner and Alan Gordon, once of the Magaicians, who wrote "Happy together" for the Turtles. And their minor hit was "When the good sun shines". Next: Ronnie Hawkins My Whitburn shows it as Alm a. And in the song itself sounds like Elmo is saying "Alma" I've always thought it was Alma, but your information about it being two guys singing it makes me wonder if I've been wrong. At any rate, we ARE talking about the same duo. And for Ronnie Hawkins (and the Hawks) - Mary Lou Next: Gary Miles

Then we have two different Whitburn books.
Anyway... Look for a star! (Shouldn't we all, for inspiration?) (Of course, I mean the Gary Miles title, one of four to hit the top 40.)
Next: Pagliaro (Ken, are you listening?)
