"Johnny and Mary"-Robert Palmer
(BTW, Kitty, I didn't know Colour Me Badd was an interracial band. When I came up with that question, I was thinking of Hootie, but I knew there were others during that decade.)
Name a song by a one-hit wonder that was remade by another one-hit wonder.

I get VERY techincal with one-hit wonders! I will assume here that they're acts with their only top FORTY hit.
Funny (how time slips away)-Jimmy Elledge & Joe Hinton
Name a song that was one of Barry Manilow's first 10 top 40 hits that did NOT reach top 20. (there are only 2 answers!)

Funny (how time slips away)-Jimmy Elledge & Joe Hinton Actually I was thinking top 40 ("Funky Town" comes to mind immediately). I guess I should have specified either top 40 or top 100. BTW, Dave, I've never heard of either of these guys you mentioned, although the song title sounds vaguely familiar. Oh well, to continue... Guess where I am now? In the library! So I can go look...*returning* "Daybreak". What a fun song! I've always liked it. Oops! We need another question. Let's seeeeeee... Name a song that has been used in more than 1 movie. (in this case, I mean the same version was used in more than 1 movie)

En Vogue had a song called "Give It Up, Turn It Loose". Does that count?

En Vogue had a song called "Give It Up, Turn It Loose". Does that count? I'm glad you bumped this up, it reminded me to comment. This post is actually to Dave. Is this James Brown song sampled on several different songs? Because the game should be about giving people several options with answers, not really a one answer trivia thing.

I do know of a few songs it's sampled on, but En Vogue is incorrect. One top 10 hit in 1991 DID feature the song prominently, a rap hit that Weird Al parodied.

Sorry, no. Wrong year, BTW. Look up Weird Al's Off the Deep End album--the SAME James Brown sample is used, too.
