(I'd do this, but I'm not up on all the current shows, and therefore I'm not up on all the current TV ads! Or do they have to be current? Logan? What do you think?)

OK, I've got one. I saw a commercial last night that had this song in it:
"Such Great Heights"-The Postal Service (that's the band name; coincidentally the ad is for UPS)
Now I'm going to take a book and close my eyes and pick a word at random for the next question. OK, here we go:
Name a song with the word "discover" in the title and/or lyrics. (It can be any form of the word--discovery, discovered, etc.)

Guys singing about a particular girl, or girls singing about a particular guy. name a song that has a guy's name in the title, but is song by another guy -- no I don't mean a gay song. ;D

"Johnny Teardrop"-Edwyn Collins
(I was looking for something not-too-obvious, and I happened to remember this song, which I have on a compilation disc)
Since you did such a great job "discovering" a song with a word that I picked at random, let's try it again:
Name a song with the word "strong" (or any form of that word) in the title and/or lyrics.

Alan, I believe "Headknocker" is by Foreigner. Unless UFO recorded a version of it also...you never know... For your most recent question, the closest thing I can think of is "Hard Rock Cafe" and I don't think that actually mentions food. (It's been a while since I've heard it, so I don't remember for sure.) So I'd better let someone else answer this one...unless "Hard Rock Cafe" is the answer you're looking for?

Nope, it's not...and I think you're right about "Headknocker"

"Mangos"-Rosemary Clooney Name a remake of a song that you like better than the original version. Roll Over Beethoven. I like ELOs version better than eithe the Beatles or the Original Chuck Berry version. Most unusual for me. I nearly always like the originals better. Name a song that has been so overplayed that even though you used to love it, or at least really like it, you can't stand to listen to it any more.

Are you kidding??? There are sooooooooo many songs that fall into that category...
Right now (those are the first 2 words of this song, lol!) the one that comes to mind is "Before He Cheats" by Carrie Underwood. Not only has it been overplayed on the radio, but just go to any karaoke place and you're bound to hear at least 1 person sing it. Actually, when it first came out, I really liked it, and I was going to sing it at a karaoke place, but they didn't have it. It was a while before I got to do any karaoke-ing again, and in the interim, the station we listen to at work started playing it ALL THE TIME. So I thought, "Fine. I don't care if I never sing this." And sure enough, almost every time I go karaoke-ing, someone sings it.
But I digress...let me think of another question...
Name an instrumental with a type of food in the title. (Surprisingly, there are lots of them!)

Since Tequila probably doesn't qualify as food, I'll go with Herb Alpert's A Taste of Honey.
Name a remake, that in your opinion, never should have happened.

Mony Mony - Billy Idol
(I should have included that in the "'80s songs you don't like" thread!)
Name a non-holiday song that mentions snow in the title or lyrics.
