Following yesterday's victory by John (Triple J) our score stands:
Dawn 12 KittyKat 11 Pete70s 7 Triple J 5 55dodger 3 Sat 2 Laura 1 Everybody Else 0
So as we move to Round #9, no one has emerged as a runaway leader, so anybody who has not even scored a point - or even tried to - could still easily win.
So ... today's game:
Tommy James and the Shondells Blondie Gary Lewis and the Playboys
Name That Theme!

Re-working Suzanne's guess just a little bit... Crystal Blue Persuasion Heart Of GlassThis Diamond Ring Things that are translucent? Reworking it just "a bit' ? Is Valentines day translucent? I had it as "things that sparkle". But I'm not going to argue over refractive index. You got it. 5 Points, and a tie for first place. I am changing the score list to give recognition to people who are playing but have not scored yet. Dawn 12 Pete70s 12 KittyKat 11 Triple J 5 55dodger 3 Sat 2 Laura 1 telestrings 0 DaDooDaidy 0 Everybody Else DNP Next game tomorrow!

Good guess, Susanne. Unfortunately not the right one. I'm glad you're playing. Please continue to play. Thanks, I will. I knew Pete's answer was better right away. This is still a good game. Glad you like it, Susanne. I suggest you look back at some of the previous games both this season and the previous ones (all on the Games Board). Some times I use direct themes - like game #8 was Kick or Kicking - and all three songs contained a form of that word. Today's game was things that sparkle, so it was three different things that sparkle. Sometimes the theme is a phrase or a slogan and each song makes up part of it. Sometimes I'll give you a clue as to which type of game it is, but sometimes I don't. I do that just to frustrate people like Pete and Kitty and Rob.
