I'll take a shot at this
Tender is the Night - Jackson Browne Good Lovin' - Young Rascals Carolina in the Pines - Michael Murphy
Theme: Tender Lovin' Care (TLC). Now I realize the Care in the song & the theme are spelled differently, but they are pronounced the same, so it kinda of fits. Anyway, it's either right or I'm way off base.

I had a feeling you were going for two in a row, Woody. But it's not to be this time. That's not the theme. Keep on trying.

OK .... we're not exactly breaking down walls to get this are we.
We're down to four points.
Time for a clue.
Of the three songs one is top 10, easily, one is top 20, and the third would qualify for Pete's "Bottom 20" list.
The key word (and it's only a word) in two of the songs is in the title, but you need the lyrics for the third.
Finally, you could also get the theme by using TWO songs from one artist, one from a second artist and not using a third artist at all. (But you're still going to get the songs from the three artists right to get maximum credit.)
Go get 'em.

Where are you guys? ? We're down to 3 points. Next Hint: Only three songs have been guessed. One of them is correct. Unfortunately (for you ) it's the one where you have to delve into the kyrics to get the clue.

All right.. I MAY have something:
Good Lovin' (Doctor)- Young Rascals Lawyer's In Love-Jackson Browne (or "Doctor My Eyes") Renegade-Michael Martin Murphy
But I still don't really see a theme here, except you can be on one side of the law, or the other.. But that really doesn't justify "Doctor"..

Pete - you are definitely in the right area. But one song is throwing you off. Geronimo's Cadillac- Michael Martin Murphy Doctors and Lawyers drive Cadillacs? Actually I think they drive Lexuses (Lexi ? ) these days. Let me say that you are even closer to the answer. In fact, you've maxed out on points because we're down to three points, and you have ALL THREE SONGS CORRECT ! -- But your theme is incorrect. So, Pete, you can keep on trying to get the theme, and prevent anyone else from scoring. If someone else can get the theme, they will get two points.

I'm guessing the theme is "doctor, lawyer, Indian chief". --- and you guess right, Laura ! I don't know how many of you remember last years's game when a theme was "Rich Man, Poor Man, Beggar Man, Thief" Well this one is the secod part of the couplet: "Doctor Lawyer Indian Chief" So that's 3 points for Pete, 2 for Laura. Well done! And its REAL tight at the top And Laura jumped over Adam. And our score: KittyKat 16 Pete70s 15 Dawn 12 Triple J 8 55dodger 8 telestrings 7 Laura 3 Sat 2 DaDooDaidy 0 Everybody Else DNP Next game tomorrow!
