I was thumbing through Spin magazine today. It was "100 Sleaziest Moments in Music" and I read an article on Paul McCartney...

The article said that he wants to change the song writing credits from when he was with the Beatles from "Lennon/McCartney" to "McCartney/Lennon". Now to me that sounds a little vein. In the article, Paul says something to this extent..."Even if I did 95% or more on these songs, I'm not asking that John's name be taken off. I just don't think it should be first. " Even though he's a multimillionaire many times over - his tour of the United States grossed $53 million - it still irks Paul that part of his songwriting profits go to Yoko Ono.

After reading this article, I've lost a lot respect for Paul. I still like his music, but as person, how greedy can you get?

I agree 100% with you. I was just thinking the other day what a bunch of crap this is. Ironically, I was in the bathroom at the time.

I mean, how small, ya know? He's in his 60's, done everything there is possibly to do, and he is worried about the song writing credit? Just seems very silly at this point in time.

I agree that it's a petty thing. However, in his defense, I think it's more of a Yoko issue than anything. Why should she get all this money for music she had nothing to do with? While she continues to "rape and pillage" the Lennon name (as Julian so aptly put it).

But still, millionaires... Can't figure them out....

This all sounds kinda petty to me.I mean,why monkey around with the credits now?What does it serve to prove other than Sir Paul has a bit of the big head?Did this start after his new wife or before?Lord,don't let's have another Yoko on our hands!
