Just read the following at cnn.com
LONDON, England (CNN) -- Rock singer Robert Palmer has died in Paris of a heart attack at the age of 54, his manager said.
The British star, whose chart hits in the 1980s included Addicted to Love, suffered the attack in the early hours of this morning, Mick Cater said.

YOW, they're dropping like flies! These are ages of deaths in the 1800's! We are supposed to be living LONGER these days. That is way to young in this day and age.
That's too bad.
RIP.

It's unbelievable how many deaths there have been lately. And I didn't realize how many deaths there had been in the past year until I was watching the Emmys the other day.

It's unbelievable how many deaths there have been lately. I noticed that too. Plus the fact that Palmer & Ritter were both the same age and both had heart attacks. Rather scary as they were only 14 years older than me (40).

Holy cow! This is even more shocking than John Ritter Robert Palmer was a fine singer and had an impressive sense of style as well. A fashionable man with a voice that was better suited for blues or jazz, he nevertheless churned out some very notable hits over his 15 year chart career. It's always sad when someone passes before their time. He was younger than either of my parents and seemed healthy. I suppose the cigarettes contributed but still...sigh.

She said she used to think these people were so much older than her years ago, and now she's realizing so many of them were actually close to her age (42). I think it makes her feel old, but she's not by any means!

This is very sad news. We've lost so many gifted musicians this year at young ages - Maurice Gibb, Barry White, Warren Zevon, and now Robert.

Great. Just great. One of my all-time faves. Looks like the way things are going (especially today), I'll be dead by 2023. Enjoy life while you can. Eternal RIP.

First thing I heard this morning. Didn't get my day off to a good start..
I was lucky enough to see him perform with a reunited Power Station at Avalon in Boston in 1997. I was so close to the stage I could literally see the fillings in his teeth! Class act all the way!
He will be missed...
