Art Carney is dead at 85. I think he was the last cast member of "The Honeymooners" left. He'll be missed. He was a comic genius.

I'll respond.
I remember watching the Honeymooners when I was a kid, by then they were reruns, but they were so funny. My favorite Art Carney movie roles were
Harry Coombes in Harry & Tonto Deacon John Wesley Gore in W.W. & the Dixie Dancekings Moe Smith in Izzy & Moe Frank in the Last Action Hero
And so you know it is a musical thing. He did a Dr. Demento favorite called the Song of the Sewer, a spoof of Ed Norton. It's kind of funny.

I forgot that you posted it! I am VERY saddened by it. Art was the greatest second banana of all time, yes, better than Vivian Vance. Jackie Gleason himself credited most of the success of the Honeymooners to Art. I had an address to Art where if you mailed it, he would send you a personalized autographed photo. I never did it. And I found the address like the day after he died. And Joyce Randolph is still alive-last one left. RIP, "Norton".

Vivian Vance was the greatest female second banana. I can't even compare the two. Plus, I hold a special place in my heart for Vivian Vance. When I Love Lucy was actually on, I don't feel she got the credit she deserved. Art always got credit, but he certainly deserved it too. I wasn't sure about Joyce Randolph. I knew if anyone else was left that she was the only one. Jackie Gleason and Audrey Meadows have been dead for years, I know.

It seems as though we've lost so many great talents this year. I thought Art also did a wonderful job starring with George Burns in "Going in Style" from 1979.
