Regarding a proper Seger Anthology...I read a recent interview and apparently Bob himself is against the idea...preferring to release dribs and drabs instead. "Beautiful Loser" indeed!! Wow, you musta been excited to post this! LOL-J/K, must be a glitch in the system.

Bob Segar??? Well, alright I guess. The rest of the performers are very deserving.

An impressive list of inductees, all certainly deserving. Particularly glad for Bob Seger, Traffic, & ZZ Top as they are favorites. Jackson Browne & George Harrison certainly have had "hall of fame" careers. Although not surprised Prince is in, I was surprised he got in so quickly. I really only know a few of The Dells songs, so I won't comment.
I really think another opportunity was missed to recognize some great artists from the 60s who are still outside looking in. Chicago, Moody Blues, Guess Who, & the 5th Dimension are just a few. Carole King is in as a songwriter, but not a singer. And I think a case can be made for Jim Croce & Gordon Lightfoot. Oh well, something to debate for the next year.

All right! GREAT line-up for this year! As for future hopefuls, add Lynyrd Skynyrd, Chic & Abba for me (as well as others already mentioned)...

Wow! I'm super excited about Traffic going in, but boy am I surprised by the Seger and Prince inductions. Ok, questions: Why does Seger surprise you but not Browne? Does Prince surprise you in general, or that he is going in so soon?

Ok, questions: Why does Seger surprise you but not Browne? Does Prince surprise you in general, or that he is going in so soon? I just consider Browne more of an artist that is respected for his songwriting. I just would never have thought of Bob Seger, not that he doesn't necessarily deserve the honor. As far as Prince goes, I'm surprised that he's going in so soon and before some other artists. He deserves though.

Regarding a proper Seger Anthology, I erad a recent interview and apparently Bob himself is against the idea...preferring to release dribs and drabs instead on one all inclusive set. "Beautiful Loser" indeed!! That's too bad - even his early 70's albums like Smokin' OP's and Seven are deleted on CD . I just thought that for a guy who's been around for so long would be better represented on disc.
