I know Martina is up for Female Country performance. Last year Concrete Angel lost to Faith Hill's Cry. Even though it is for "Country" performance, the Grammy's lean to the more pop oriented country songs. What a joke.

They don't even belong in the same category, kind of like you said. One's pop, the other is country.

I don't know.....her current stuff sounds like a rehashing of all the Breathe stuff. Much like Shania is recycling Come on Over.

I just wish they'd stop calling themselves country singers while they do music like that. Some artists do a lot of the same sound their whole careers. Why experiment with something new when the old stuff still works?

Why experiment with something new when the old stuff still works? Right, and that works to a degree. I mean, Martina calls her new album "more Martina music" because she doesn't stray from her signature sound. But that's different that making songs that sound like rewrites of past songs, you know? And Shania with the "e-yeah-yeah-yeah" on every song and the song titles with the exclamation points and parenthesis!! STOP!! (Please)

To be honest,I've never been that enamored with Shania.I have often wondered that,if she still sounded the same but looked less like a model, would she be so popular.
