Here is another fun installment! (It's gonna take FOREVER to get to the top!)
6460. September Morn'-Neil Diamond 1979/80 I remember my mom playing the crap out of this song, so I got WAY sick of it. Neil was never my style.
6459. When We Dance-Sting 1994 Sting solo didn't do all the much for me. A song here and there, but this one was a bit too slow and dreary.
6458. New York Minute-Don Henley 1990 I think this ended up being the fourth single. Don was wearing a little thing on me at this point, and this one was a bit too slow for me.
6457. Oh! Carol-Neil Sedaka 1959 Well the title makes me think of my sis, but other than that, this is kindof corny pop to me.
6456. Heartlight-Neil Diamond 1982 Ah, the ET Theme. Again, Neil didn't do much for me, especially his ballads.
6455. Scarborough Fair-Simon & Garfunkel 1968 I know everyone is shaking their heads at me, but I just find their stuff boring for the most part. I guess maybe because I didn't grow up with it, my dad was never into them.
6454. Russians-Sting 1986 Sting at his political best at the height of the cold war. I remember our post hippie science teacher playing this for us in class in 8th grade. There were better songs on this album.
6453. Chip Chip-Gene McDaniels 1962 From the dark period of rock, post Elvis, pre-Beatles. Sort of corny pre-rock sounding pop. Almost like a song from a musical.
6452. Love on the Rocks-Neil Diamond 1980/81 Neil isn't fairing too well on my chart, is he? The only good memory is remembering my mom listening to him. This was another ballad that was just too boring for me to like more.
6451. After the Fire-Roger Daltry 1985 Remember seeing this on MTV quite often during Roger's ill fated solo career attempt. Not horrible, but it won't make the world forget The Real Me, Slip Kid, Substitute, The Seeker.......
6450. Last Chance-John Mellencamp 1991 An album cut from what I consider John's last REALLY good album. This cut isn't great, but not bad.
6449. Reunited-Greg Kihn Band 1986 This song and it's video was meant to be the "sequel" to Jeopardy. Didn't quite measure up as well. Only heard this a handful of times.
6448. Be Still My Beating Heart-Sting 1988 I got less and less into Sting with each passing album. But he DID peak later....
6447. To Be a Lover-Billy Idol 1986 One of Billy's last hits. I remember the stupid faces he made in the video while singing this. Haven't heard this in years.
6446. Riu Chiu-Monkees 1967 As a novelty, I rank this much higher. Fans remember this from the Christmas episode. The boys sang this at the end of the show. I guess it is an old Spanish song. Like I said, it's neat, but I don't break it out every Christmas. Found on Missing Links Volume 2.
6445. Revolution 9-Beatles 1968 Again, this is where it hurts. Here is my favorite band, getting it's average all screwed up because being the greatest rock band ever wasn't enough for John. He had to be the greatest avant garde artist too! Listen to it with headphones.
6444. Chain of Fools-Aretha Franklin 1967/68 I respect who she is, but her songs (except one) never did much for me. I've heard this more than enough on the oldies station.
6443. How Bad Do You Want it?-Don Henley 1990 Album cut from his 90 release. Again, he was wearing thing, and this cut didn't do much for me like his earlier stuff did.
6442. Love On Your Side-Thompson Twins 1983 This got lots of MTV play, like their other songs. They weren't really my style, but I tolerated this one.
6441. Are We Ourselves?-The Fixx 1984 The Fixx had some good songs, but obviously, this was my least fave of them.
Let's hear it!

6460. I don't know this song, but I really don't like Neil Diamond at all. Except for that duet with Babs. ;D
6459. Never heard it.
6458. This one's okay. I like some of his other solo stuff better.
6457. Don't know it.
6456. I HATE this song with a PASSION. Blah!
6455. This song's okay. I like Sound of Silence and Mrs. Robinson much better.
6454. Don't know it.
6453. Ditto.
6452. Ick.
6451. I'm not familiar with any of Roger Daltrey's solo stuff.
6450. Don't know this song.
6449. Never heard of 'em.
6448. Never heard it.
6447. Another song I don't know.
6446. I've never heard this song either.
6445. Don't know it.
6444. Love it! One of the greatest voices in music.
6443. I'm sorry. I don't know this song either.
6442. Don't know it.
6441. Don't know anything by them.

6460. September Morn'-Neil Diamond 1979/80 Did this really come out in 79? I thought is was one of his early tunes. Shows what I know...anyway, I don't mind this one. 6459. When We Dance-Sting 1994 I love this song. This is the one that's about the Spanish women who mourn their dead right? Oh wait, never mind that's "They Dance Alone". I don't know which song you're talking about. 6458. New York Minute-Don Henley 1990 What's wrong with this tune? But then again I like most of the tracks off The End of the Innocence. 6457. Oh! Carol-Neil Sedaka 1959 Yuck 6456. Heartlight-Neil Diamond 1982 I pretty much hate everything related to that damn movie. 6455. Scarborough Fair-Simon & Garfunkel 1968 Not one of my faves from them at all. I agree with you actually - it's boring. 6454. Russians-Sting 1986 I agree, there were better songs from this album. 6453. Chip Chip-Gene McDaniels 1962 Nope. 6452. Love on the Rocks-Neil Diamond 1980/81 [Elaine Benis voice] Shut up! [/Elaine Benis voice] This is my favorite Neil song. Probably in my top 500 songs. 6451. After the Fire-Roger Daltry 1985 Never really dug the solo stuff. 6450. Last Chance-John Mellencamp 1991 Just okay track 6449. Reunited-Greg Kihn Band 1986 Hate it. 6448. Be Still My Beating Heart-Sting 1988 I like this one. 6447. To Be a Lover-Billy Idol 1986 I used to love this song but I haven't heard it in at least 10 years. 6446. Riu Chiu-Monkees 1967 ?? 6445. Revolution 9-Beatles 1968 Is this the song that I know? The famous one? If it is I've always liked it. 6444. Chain of Fools-Aretha Franklin 1967/68 Love it. 6443. How Bad Do You Want it?-Don Henley 1990 Hate it. 6442. Love On Your Side-Thompson Twins 1983 Not one of my faves from them. 6441. Are We Ourselves?-The Fixx 1984 Next...

Well let's try this again - I typed up my response hit "post" then " poof " nothin' 6460 - Nice piano playing - it has that lounge feel to it. With a couple of exceptions I like his 60's early 70's period better. 6459 - Kind of has a dreamy quality to it . I'm not a huge fan of Sting but there a few I really do like alot. 6458 - He really hit his peak with this album . Very solid 6457 - Typical late 50's light pop. nice to hear every so often though. 6456 - This recieved plenty of radio play at the time . Thought it was Ok But he had so much better. 6455 - Among my faves from S and G . Really like Paul's guitar playing. 6454 - Heard this quite a bit at the time . I also remember there being a video for it too or did I imagine it LOL ? 6453 - The title is familiar but the tune isn't coming to me but I'm sure I've heard it. 6452 - One of the few from his late period that I really like. 6451 - Once again familiar title - I'm sure I know it . I really liked Let Me Down Easy. 6450 - Yup this was IMO his last cohesive album . The lyrics seem to be missing something though but the tune itself makes up for it. 6449 - Didn't hear it until I bought Rhino's best of . Great tune , I like the garage band feel . 6448 - Don;t know it - at least I don't think so. 6447 - I have this on cassette but it's been a while since I've heard it . A buddy of mine was really into Billy at this point buying everything ! LOL 6446 - A great little tune. I know the Xmas episode very well 6445 - Not a tune you crank up to ten unless you want to scare the neighbors. I really didn't know what to make of this when I first heard it as a kid. There is alot going on. 6444 - I don't like everything Aretha has done but I do have alot of respect for her (no pun intended) this is among the highlights for me though . One groovy tune. 6443 - I like it. 6442 - Don't know this one 6441 - My brother has their Greatest Hits disc. I'm not familiar with this but I do like many of the songs Secret Separation being my #1 fave.

Adam, you are going to be doing songs you can't stand for about two months. By then you are going to be sooooo bummed! 6460. September Morn'-Neil Diamond 1979/80 It's OK, but not even among my top 20 Neils 6459. When We Dance-Sting 1994 Don't care for much of Sting either. Don't like this one. 6458. New York Minute-Don Henley 1990 Don't know the Henley solo, only familiar with this off the Eagles' Hell Freezes Over album. Like it a lot; I'll look for the solo. BTW, try listening to this song and think of 9/11.....eerie. 6457. Oh! Carol-Neil Sedaka 1959 Good lite pop from Neil. He actually wrote this for Carole King - and she responded with an obscure song called -yup- "Oh, Neil" No joke. 6456. Heartlight-Neil Diamond 1982 Didn't really care for this one much. 6455. Scarborough Fair-Simon & Garfunkel 1968 I always used to say: Mrs. Robinson- Excellent Sounds of Silence - Excellent Scarborough - Fair 6454. Russians-Sting 1986 Don't know it. 6453. Chip Chip-Gene McDaniels 1962 I kinda liked this one. It was one of his followups to 100 Pounds of Clay, and all his songs sounded alike, but he didn't have enough of them to make it boring. 6452. Love on the Rocks-Neil Diamond 1980/81 OK... not great 6451. After the Fire-Roger Daltry 1985 Don't remeber this one 6450. Last Chance-John Mellencamp 1991 Nor this one. 6449. Reunited-Greg Kihn Band 1986 Only heard a couple of times. Eh. 6448. Be Still My Beating Heart-Sting 1988 Don't know it 6447. To Be a Lover-Billy Idol 1986 No thanks 6446. Riu Chiu-Monkees 1967 Don't know it. 6445. Revolution 9-Beatles 1968 ---or try listening to the "Number Nine..Number Nine..Number Nine" dirge backwards. It almost really does sound like "Turn me on, dead man". This was one of the Paul Is Dead "clues" back in '69. Of course you need a vinyl copy and a record player. The "song" itself sux. 6444. Chain of Fools-Aretha Franklin 1967/68 You "respect" Aretha, Sat?? Har har har. Actually this is one of my faves by her. 6443. How Bad Do You Want it?-Don Henley 1990 Don't know it 6442. Love On Your Side-Thompson Twins 1983 May have heard it once or twice, can't really place it. 6441. Are We Ourselves?-The Fixx 1984 Eh.

6460. September Morn'-Neil Diamond 1979/80 He's done better..
6459. When We Dance-Sting 1994 Don't know..
6458. New York Minute-Don Henley 1990 I heard it once, on Lost 45's, the week after the terrorist attacks. Didn't care much for it either way..
6457. Oh! Carol-Neil Sedaka 1959 I know the Beatles version, but not Neil's.
6456. Heartlight-Neil Diamond 1982 Again, He's done better..
6455. Scarborough Fair-Simon & Garfunkel 1968 It's OK, not their best, but it was used to a great effect in an episode of "The Wonder Years"
6454. Russians-Sting 1986 "Fortress" was WAY better!
6453. Chip Chip-Gene McDaniels 1962 Not sure..
6452. Love on the Rocks-Neil Diamond 1980/81 Yet again, He's done better..
6451. After the Fire-Roger Daltry 1985 I liked this one a LOT! Haven't heard it since it was current!
6450. Last Chance-John Mellencamp 1991 Don't know it, but I was never really big on Melancamp.
6449. Reunited-Greg Kihn Band 1986 I remember his '85 hit "Lucky". I LOVED that one! This one I'm not sure about.
6448. Be Still My Beating Heart-Sting 1988 To me, he was losing it by this point.
6447. To Be a Lover-Billy Idol 1986 I remember this, but can't remember the song itself off the top of my head.
6446. Riu Chiu-Monkees 1967 Saw this in the episode before Missing Links came out. Was psyched to see it get released. I love how their voices blend together on this track, I wish they'd done more harmonizing!
6445. Revolution 9-Beatles 1968 When I first heard this I was 11, it was a pretty scary track. Then my best friend and I got into it and it became comic relief!
6444. Chain of Fools-Aretha Franklin 1967/68 This is a good one, but "Think" is better!
6443. How Bad Do You Want it?-Don Henley 1990 Not familiar, I missed that album when it came out, my head was elsewhere.
6442. Love On Your Side-Thompson Twins 1983 Not a big radio hit, but big in the clubs, and IMO, their best song. "I PLAYED YOU ALL MY FAVORITE RECORDS!! In the name of loovve, yeah, in the name of love".. LOVE it!
6441. Are We Ourselves?-The Fixx 1984 LOVE this one!

6460. September Morn'-Neil Diamond 1979/80 I like this more than I did when it was current. Not bad.
6459. When We Dance-Sting 1994 I don't think I know this one.
6458. New York Minute-Don Henley 1990 I've always liked this one from Don.
6457. Oh! Carol-Neil Sedaka 1959 I never really warmed up to this one - I prefer his 70's work.
6456. Heartlight-Neil Diamond 1982 This is nice - I remember hearing a lot at the time, but very rarely nowadays.
6455. Scarborough Fair-Simon & Garfunkel 1968 Wonderful, almost ethereal. Love it.
6454. Russians-Sting 1986 This took a while to grow on me. It's good, but not his best.
6453. Chip Chip-Gene McDaniels 1962 I'm not familiar with this one.
6452. Love on the Rocks-Neil Diamond 1980/81 As with 'September Morn', this is one I've grown to like more over time.
6451. After the Fire-Roger Daltry 1985 I know I've heard this one, but can't quite recall how it goes.
6450. Last Chance-John Mellencamp 1991 Eh. I'm definitely partial to John's early-mid 80's material.
6449. Reunited-Greg Kihn Band 1986 I don't think I know this one.
6448. Be Still My Beating Heart-Sting 1988 This one's good, with kind of a mysterious quality. Still not his best, though.
6447. To Be a Lover-Billy Idol 1986 I never cared for this much at all.
6446. Riu Chiu-Monkees 1967 I don't know this one, but I'd be interested in checking it out.
6445. Revolution 9-Beatles 1968 I hated this for years, but it grew on me a lot after someone pointed out to me that it sounded like someone turning a radio dial at night, which I thought was a cool concept.
6444. Chain of Fools-Aretha Franklin 1967/68 I've heard this a little too often also. Good, but overplayed.
6443. How Bad Do You Want it?-Don Henley 1990 I can't say I remember this one.
6442. Love On Your Side-Thompson Twins 1983 Was this from the same album as 'Lies'? Another I've probably heard, but can't place.
6441. Are We Ourselves?-The Fixx 1984 A good one, but not quite on a par with 'One Thing Leads to Another' or 'Saved By Zero'.

September Morn--Ick.
When We Dance--Never liked Sting much, but this song is tolerable.
New York Minute--Like it a lot.
Oh Carol--Oh god. ;D
Heartlight--Kinda boring.
Scarborough Fair--Love this song. S&G are among my favorites.
Russians--The title sounds familiar, but I can't place the tune.
Chip Chip--Not a clue.
Love on the Rocks--This one isn't too bad. Better than the previous Neil songs mentioned here.
After the Fire--Again, title's familiar, but don't remember the tune. And I think I have that album on vinyl.
Last Chance--Don't think I know it.
Reunited--Can't place it. I just keep hearing the Peaches and Herb song in my head. LOL!
Be Still My Beating Heart--Not familiar.
To Be a Lover--Don't know it.
Riu Chiu--Huh?
Revolution #9--I remember the first time I heard this song. I was very annoyed by it. LOL!
Chain of Fools--Really like this one, and I'm not a big Aretha fan.
How Bad Do You Want It--Good song.
Love On Your Side--Don't know it, I guess.
Are We Ourselves--Probably my least favorite by The Fixx.

[glow=red,2,300]6460. September Morn'-Neil Diamond 1979/80- this is an okay song. Not one of my favorite Neil songs though, but less irritating than the song in which he laments that no one heard him, not even the chair.
6459. When We Dance-Sting 1994 I've only heard this one once and it was okay.
6458. New York Minute-Don Henley 1990 This one is okay too.
6457. Oh! Carol-Neil Sedaka 1959 I don't like Neil Sedaka that much period, and I really don't care for this song.
6456. Heartlight-Neil Diamond 1982 Suprisingly enough, considering how much I love the E.T. soundtrack and all, I have never heard this one.
6455. Scarborough Fair-Simon & Garfunkel 1968 As much as I love Simon and Garfunkel, this is one of my least-favorite of their songs. I like the song though.
6454. Russians-Sting 1986 Haven't heard.
6453. Chip Chip-Gene McDaniels 1962 Haven't heard.
6452. Love on the Rocks-Neil Diamond 1980/81 I don't really like this one.
6451. After the Fire-Roger Daltry 1985 The only song I like by him is the version he did of Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me. The rest I don't care for.
6450. Last Chance-John Mellencamp 1991 Haven't heard.
6449. Reunited-Greg Kihn Band 1986 Haven't heard.
6448. Be Still My Beating Heart-Sting 1988 Haven't heard.
6447. To Be a Lover-Billy Idol 1986 I don't really care for this.
6446. Riu Chiu-Monkees 1967 When I first saw this, I was thinking it was a Christmas song, since I heard a song called Riu Riu Chiu at a church Christmas program one time. I haven't heard this version though.
6445. Revolution 9-Beatles 1968 Haven't heard this one.
6444. Chain of Fools-Aretha Franklin 1967/68 This song is okay.
6443. How Bad Do You Want it?-Don Henley 1990 Haven't heard this one.
6442. Love On Your Side-Thompson Twins 1983 I didn't care for this one, but I'm not too big on the Thompson Twins on the whole.
6441. Are We Ourselves?-The Fixx 1984 If this is the one I think it is, it is an okay song. [/glow]

That is NOT the "you say you want a Revolution" song. It's basically a bunch of noise.

I'm already bummed that we aren't on the good songs! LOL! Ok, I read this yesterday, but I just now got the Scarborough Fair joke! LOL! I used to hang with a guy who had DJing turntables and would play Revolution 9 backwards, and it really DOES sound like Turn me on, dead man!

6455. Scarborough Fair-Simon & Garfunkel 1968 It's OK, not their best, but it was used to a great effect in an episode of "The Wonder Years" 6454. Beatles version of Oh! Carol? Is that maybe a cover of Chuck Berry's song Carol on the BBC Sessions or something?

Revolution 9 is interesting, to say the least!
