I thought 20 songs a day would be too much, but everyone seems to be doing it ok. Hope you aren't minding it! Let me know!! 6305. Don't Call Me N!gger, Whitey (Don't Call Me Whitey, N!gger)-Sly & the Family Stone 1969 In this too PC age, this song would be banned. But back then, Sly was trying to bring people TOGETHER. I think that probably gets lost on people today. Anyway, decent song, but he has so many better. 6304. Possession Obsession-Hall & Oates 1985 H&O was starting to fade as hitmakers at this point. I remember the two of them fighting over a sugar shaker in the video. Ok. Anyway, doesn't measure up to their 70's and early 80's output. 6303. C-I-T-Y-John Cafferty & Beaver Brown Band 1985 The poor man's Bruce & the E Street. The first two hits were good, this one didn't live up to those however. 6302. Leave Me Alone-Michael Jackson 1988 (Not sure if that year is right) As a human being, he would be listed last. But overall, the post Thriller songs just weren't any good, IMO. 6301. Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polkadot Bikini-Brian Hyland 1960 Poor cornball novelty tune. Don't really need to hear it anymore. 6300. I Just Can't Stop Loving You-Michael Jackson 1987 I don't know why all this stuff did so well. This song isn't overly clever or anything. 6299. Point of No Return-Gene McDaniels 1962 Another pre-rock sounding song from Gene. Not bad, not great. 6298. The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face-Roberta Flack 1972 Number one song the year I was born, but just TOO slow and boring. 6297. The Way You Make Me Feel-Michael Jackson 1987/88 Hate the "Hoo-hoo's" in the background of most of his songs. 6296. Butterfly-Mariah Carey 1997 This could actually be ranked lower. I bought my wife this disc because at the time she was still sorta into her music. Luckily, she turned on the country station since then! 6295. You Might Think-Cars 1984 I know this was a huge song and huger video, but both always annoyed me. Their earlier stuff was SO much better. 6294. Notorious-Duran Duran 1986/87 I think they were on the way out at this point. Not one of their better tunes. 6293. Think-Aretha Franklin 1968 Again, I "respect" her, but her songs don't do that much for me really. This gets TOO much oldies play. 6292. I Am...I Said-Neil Diamond 1971 Another childhood song. Too lightweight for me to really like. 6291. Man in the Mirror-Michael Jackson 1988 He's making a killing in this section! And all from the same album! As big as it was, didn't measure up to Thriller. The background singing makes this passable. 6290. Karma Chameleon-Culture Club 1983/84 Ok, I was never a fan, but the "Karmakarmakarmakarma...." on this song was WAY annoying. 6289. Policy of Truth-Depeche Mode 1990 I remember this album being a HUGE comeback, and in some ways their commercial breakthrough. They had hits before, but not this big. This album was all over in 90. I liked the other singles better. 6288. Stop Making Sense-Talking Heads 1984 I like a handful of Heads tunes but this one isn't as good as their others. 6287. Demolition Man-Police 1981 Not one of their better tunes, but better than Grace Jones' SCARY cover. 6286. Smooth Criminal-Michael Jackson 1988/89 He's back! Wow, 5 times, same album! Shows you what I think of that album, with them all being ranked down here! Ok, let's have it!

20 a day is fine while you're down here, Sat. I think we all have 5 or more "don't knows" so we're only doing 15 or less. 6440. Don't Call Me N!gger, Whitey (Don't Call Me Whitey, N!gger)-Sly & the Family Stone 1969 Never heard of this one. I'd be interested in hearing the cover by Rush Limbaugh. ;D ;D ;D 6439. Possession Obsession-Hall & Oates 1985 Don't think I remember this one either. 6438. C-I-T-Y-John Cafferty & Beaver Brown Band 1985 I only know the stuff from Eddie and the Cruisers. Don't remember this song being in there. 6437. Leave Me Alone-Michael Jackson 1988 Don't know this one either (I'm on a roll!) 6436. Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polkadot Bikini-Brian Hyland 1960 OK. Finally. I know this one. I remember in the late '60s they used to refer to this as the first bubblegum song. It's not bad, I like some of Hylands other songs better, but this one got ones attention. 6435. I Just Can't Stop Loving You-Michael Jackson 1987 I bet Michael sang that to all the little boys. 6434. Point of No Return-Gene McDaniels 1962 Just like Chip Chip, another sound alike clone of 100 Pounds of Clay. Not bad. 6433. The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face-Roberta Flack 1972 (Some charts listed this one behind Alone Again Naturally. I generally call it a tie for song of the year.) It is slow, but has some nice piano and vocals. This was the song for the first dance at our wedding (but only because we felt it was inappropriate to use Afternoon Delight. ) It's in my top 250 for that reason. 6432. The Way You Make Me Feel-Michael Jackson 1987/88 No. 6431. Butterfly-Mariah Carey 1997 I either don't know it, or I've supressed it. 6430. You Might Think-Cars 1984 I have it, but I've probably only listened to it 3 or 4 times. That's because I don't like it. 6429. Notorious-Duran Duran 1986/87 Not that bad. I'm not a Duran fan, but this was sorta catchy. 6428. Think-Aretha Franklin 1968 Not bad, but not my fave by her. I think this one debuted in the top 10. Can't see why other than Aretha was at her pinaccle then. 6427. I Am...I Said-Neil Diamond 1971 Not his best, not his worst. - but may have his all time worst line in it: "... and no one heard at all, not even the chair." 6426. Man in the Mirror-Michael Jackson 1988 This one I remember well. Terrible song with no redeeming qualities. 6425. Karma Chameleon-Culture Club 1983/84 I actually liked this. May be my fave Culture Club (not that that's saying much). I remember my son coming home from kindergarten singing this song. (Fortunately, Boy George did not become one of his heroes. 6424. Policy of Truth-Depeche Mode 1990 Don't remember it. 6423. Stop Making Sense-Talking Heads 1984 Don't remember it. 6422. Demolition Man-Police 1981 Don't remember it. 6421. Smooth Criminal-Michael Jackson 1988/89 Are you done with Michael yet? Pleeeeeeeeeeze!

That's true, although it may be like that towards the top also where I have a lot of album cuts by Martina, Collective Soul, Kinleys, Foo Fighters that the average person probably won't know.

6440 - I 've heard this a couple of times . He had way better songs. 6439 - Never heard this one . I tried to find an audio clip to have a listen but was unable to. 6438 - I liked this one quite a bit - I recieved the album as a birthday present in '85 . My brother's band did a cover of it at the time. 6437 - The video was kind of interesting I guess but the song was average . 6436 - It's ok to hear once in a while , I like Gypsy Woman better though. 6435 - Don't remember it. 6434 - Ditto 6433 - I heard this on the radio I guess about a week ago .I like the melody but agree that it is a bit slow. 6432 - All his upbeat stuff all sounded the same on that album. 6431 - I'm not a fan - She always goes overboard on her vocals. Eh. 6430 - Still among my faves from The Cars. I remember the video's special effects were supposed to have been very high tech at the time. 6429 - I wasn't really following them all that closely at the time . Ok I guess but yeah they had better e.g. Hungry Like The Wolf 6428 - Wasn't aware of the song until I heard her remake in the Blues Brothers movie . 6427 - Nice tune - Brings back nice childhood memories. 6426 - Eh - I'd rather listen to ABC or I Want You Back 6425 - The only thing I really liked about the song was the harmonica. 6424 - Was never a fan , I never really heard much of their music . 6423 - I'm sure I'd know the song If I heard it but I'm drawing a blank. 6422 - Not a bad tune . Grace Jones ? Wow that does sound scary LOL 6421 - once again - eh

6440. Don't Call Me N!gger, Whitey (Don't Call Me Whitey, N!gger)-Sly & the Family Stone 1969 Standout cut from the "Stand" album. I agree, it would never fly today! 6439. Possession Obsession-Hall & Oates 1985 I remember it being on the chart, but the album had been out for a LONG time by this point and they were really trying to milk it for hits. Needless to say, I can't place the melody, so it's forgettable. 6438. C-I-T-Y-John Cafferty & Beaver Brown Band 1985 This was the follow-up to "Tough All Over", which was good, but I can't place the melody to this one. I don't think he's had a hit since. 6437. Leave Me Alone-Michael Jackson 1988 Sick of him! 6436. Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polkadot Bikini-Brian Hyland 1960 You said it best! 6435. I Just Can't Stop Loving You-Michael Jackson 1987 See above Jacko comment. 6434. Point of No Return-Gene McDaniels 1962 I really only know Tower Of Strength 6433. The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face-Roberta Flack 1972 I like this, it's a little slow for my tastes, but I can deal with it. 6432. The Way You Make Me Feel-Michael Jackson 1987/88 Another Jacko ::sigh:: 6431. Butterfly-Mariah Carey 1997 6430. You Might Think-Cars 1984 One of their biggest, but far from their best. 6429. Notorious-Duran Duran 1986/87 I always liked this one a lot, the whole album was very overlooked! 6428. Think-Aretha Franklin 1968 One of her better 60's hits. 6427. I Am...I Said-Neil Diamond 1971 Good one, I like his early 70's stuff a lot. 6426. Man in the Mirror-Michael Jackson 1988 Again..... 6425. Karma Chameleon-Culture Club 1983/84 "I'm a man......" Yeah, OK George, Whatever.. Good tune, though! 6424. Policy of Truth-Depeche Mode 1990 My least fave of the singles off of Violater. 6423. Stop Making Sense-Talking Heads 1984 I have all their stuff, and I don't think this song exists.. Are you thinking of "Girlfriend Is Better", where he sings the line "As we get older, and stop making sense"? 6422. Demolition Man-Police 1981 Ghost In The Machine was not my favorite Police album, but this track was a standout. 6421. Smooth Criminal-Michael Jackson 1988/89 OK, I can actually tolerate this one. One of his few post-Thriller songs I like.

I'm definitely fine with 20. I'm only commenting on about five a day! LOL!
6440. Don't know it. Sounds hilarious though! Just the title cracks me up.
6439. I've never been big on H&O, but I don't know this song.
6438. I'm not familiar with this group at all.
6437. Don't know it.
6436. This is a fun song, IMO. It gets old after a while, but it's not so bad.
6435. Just like the last Jacko tune...I don't know it.
6434. I don't know anything by Gene McDaniels.
6433. Very beautiful song, but it would be better at a faster pace.
6432. I really like this one! He does overuse the "hoos", but it's still a good song.
6431. This song is REALLY pretty, but Mariah's voice is just too whiny anymore.
6430. Never heard it.
6429. I love anything by Duran Duran. Rrrreow!!!
6428. Love it!!!! One of my favorites by the Queen.
6427. No more Neil Diamond! I beg you!
6426. Don't know this song.
6425. Culture Club is a guilty pleasure of mine. So sue me! "Come-a come-a come-a come-a come-a Karma Chameleon. You come and go, you come and go-o-o-o."
6424. Don't know it.
6423. Um, okay. I've never heard this song either.
6422. Ditto.
6421. I like it, but the cover by Alien Ant Farm is much better.

6440. Don't Call Me N!gger, Whitey (Don't Call Me Whitey, N!gger)-Sly & the Family Stone 1969 I've only heard it once. It's amazing how 30 years can change the meaning of a song
6439. Possession Obsession-Hall & Oates 1985 Not as good as others by them
6438. C-I-T-Y-John Cafferty & Beaver Brown Band 1985 Don't remember this one, at least from the title.
6437. Leave Me Alone-Michael Jackson 1988 Hate it and the video for it.
6436. Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polkadot Bikini-Brian Hyland 1960 Cornball novelty tune is right. Not my cup o tea
6435. I Just Can't Stop Loving You-Michael Jackson 1987 Forgettable
6434. Point of No Return-Gene McDaniels 1962 Next...
6433. The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face-Roberta Flack 1972 Her worst, totally boring.
6432. The Way You Make Me Feel-Michael Jackson 1987/88 Hate the "Hoo-hoo's" in the background of most of his songs.
6431. Butterfly-Mariah Carey 1997 Not the best from her but I don't mind it
6430. You Might Think-Cars 1984 My least fave from them
6429. Notorious-Duran Duran 1986/87 LOVE IT!
6428. Think-Aretha Franklin 1968 Overplayed? Probably but its still a good song.
6427. I Am...I Said-Neil Diamond 1971 I like this Neil one too
6426. Man in the Mirror-Michael Jackson 1988 One of the few songs from this era that I can stand from him
6425. Karma Chameleon-Culture Club 1983/84 Not bad, but not their best
6424. Policy of Truth-Depeche Mode 1990 I like the other singles from this album better
6423. Stop Making Sense-Talking Heads 1984 Good tune, but not my fave from them
6422. Demolition Man-Police 1981 Not their best but still pretty good. I've avoided hearing the Jones cover.

6440. Don't Call Me N!gger, Whitey (Don't Call Me Whitey, N!gger)-Sly & the Family Stone 1969 I don't think I've ever heard this one.
6439. Possession Obsession-Hall & Oates 1985 I agree - this isn't quite on a par with their earlier material. It's still pretty good, though.
6438. C-I-T-Y-John Cafferty & Beaver Brown Band 1985 It's been ages since I've heard this, but I saw that it's on VH-1 Classic's playlist for today - I need to get reacquainted with it.
6437. Leave Me Alone-Michael Jackson 1988 Not one of Michael's best.
6436. Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polkadot Bikini-Brian Hyland 1960 It's a cute tune, but a little overplayed.
6435. I Just Can't Stop Loving You-Michael Jackson 1987 Again, not among his better songs.
6434. Point of No Return-Gene McDaniels 1962 I don't think I'm familiar with this one.
6433. The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face-Roberta Flack 1972 Beautiful arrangement and vocals by Roberta.
6432. The Way You Make Me Feel-Michael Jackson 1987/88 Not one of the better cuts from the Bad album.
6431. Butterfly-Mariah Carey 1997 I like some of Mariah's early hits, but she lost me by this point.
6430. You Might Think-Cars 1984 Good, but they did many better songs.
6429. Notorious-Duran Duran 1986/87 Oh, I love this! One of my favorite later Duran songs.
6428. Think-Aretha Franklin 1968 A good one from Aretha - love the opening piano work.
6427. I Am...I Said-Neil Diamond 1971 This has really grown on me recently. Nicely done.
6426. Man in the Mirror-Michael Jackson 1988 Eh - again, not his best work.
6425. Karma Chameleon-Culture Club 1983/84 I like this, but it's one of my lesser faves by them.
6424. Policy of Truth-Depeche Mode 1990 I don't think I know this one.
6423. Stop Making Sense-Talking Heads 1984 I know I've heard this, but can't quite place it.
6422. Demolition Man-Police 1981 Not great, I agree. And you're right, that Grace Jones version is horrible!
6421. Smooth Criminal-Michael Jackson 1988/89 I think this is one of the better songs from Bad. Still not as good as the Off the Wall/Thriller era material, though.

[glow=red,2,300]6440. Don't Call Me N!gger, Whitey (Don't Call Me Whitey, N!gger)-Sly & the Family Stone 1969 I haven't heard this song yet.

6438. C-I-T-Y-John Cafferty & Beaver Brown Band 1985 Haven't heard this one.
6437. Leave Me Alone-Michael Jackson 1988 I don't really care for this song. I just watched a thing about him on CourtTV a few hours ago too.

6435. I Just Can't Stop Loving You-Michael Jackson 1987 I don't really like this one either.
6434. Point of No Return-Gene McDaniels 1962 I haven't heard this one yet.
6433. The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face-Roberta Flack 1972 This is the only Roberta Flack song I like.l
6432. The Way You Make Me Feel-Michael Jackson 1987/88 Don't like this one much either.

6426. Man in the Mirror-Michael Jackson 1988 I don't really like that song.

6423. Stop Making Sense-Talking Heads 1984 I haven't heard this one.
6422. Demolition Man-Police 1981 This song is okay.
6421. Smooth Criminal-Michael Jackson 1988/89 I don't really care for this song very much.

Lots of stuff on here today that I don't know, so this shouldn't take too long. ;D Don't Call Me N!gger, Whitey (etc)--Don't think I ever heard this before. I'm sure I'd remember it. lol! Possession Obsession--I guess I wasn't following Hall and Oates too closely at this point, cuz I can't place this song. C-I-T-Y--I might know it if I heard it. I always liked John Cafferty. Leave Me Alone--No thanks. Itsy Bitsy...Bikini--Ok song. I don't mind hearing it occasionally. I Just Can't Stop Loving You--I'll pass. Point of No Return--I guess I don't know Gene McDaniels. The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face--Absolute torture having to sit through this. The Way You Make Me Feel--This one I love. One of my fave Michael Jackson tunes. Butterfly--Doesn't sound familiar, but I don't like Mariah Scary much. You Might Think--Sick of the song, sick of the video. Notorious--This isn't a bad song, considering it's Duran Duran. Think--I like it. It's a good "sing-along" song. I Am I Said--Nah. Man in the Mirror--S'allright. Not a fave of mine, but listenable. Karma Chameleon--Like it a lot. Catchy tune. Policy of Truth--Never heard of it. Stop Making Sense--Don't know it. Demolition Man--Oddly enough, I remember the Grace Jones cover, but not this version. Smooth Criminal--Another favorite of mine from Michael Jackson. Also liked Alien Ant Farm's cover.

Wow that does sound scary LOL 6421 - once again - eh 6428. That's where I first heard it too!

You come and go, you come and go-o-o-o." 6424. Don't know it. 6423. Um, okay. I've never heard this song either. 6422. Ditto. 6421. I like it, but the cover by Alien Ant Farm is much better. Hate to tell ya, I think there will be a few more Neil Diamond's coming up!

6440. Don't Call Me N!gger, Whitey (Don't Call Me Whitey, N!gger)-Sly & the Family Stone 1969 I've only heard it once. It's amazing how 30 years can change the meaning of a song 6439. Possession Obsession-Hall & Oates 1985 Not as good as others by them 6438. Not my cup o tea 6435. I Just Can't Stop Loving You-Michael Jackson 1987 Forgettable 6434. 6431. Butterfly-Mariah Carey 1997 Not the best from her but I don't mind it 6430. You Might Think-Cars 1984 My least fave from them 6429. Notorious-Duran Duran 1986/87 LOVE IT! 6428. Think-Aretha Franklin 1968 Overplayed? Probably but its still a good song. 6427. I Am...I Said-Neil Diamond 1971 I like this Neil one too 6426. Man in the Mirror-Michael Jackson 1988 One of the few songs from this era that I can stand from him 6425. Karma Chameleon-Culture Club 1983/84 Not bad, but not their best 6424. Policy of Truth-Depeche Mode 1990 I like the other singles from this album better 6423. Stop Making Sense-Talking Heads 1984 Good tune, but not my fave from them 6422. Demolition Man-Police 1981 Not their best but still pretty good. I've avoided hearing the Jones cover. 6421. Smooth Criminal-Michael Jackson 1988/89 I like the Alien Ant Farm version better 6440. How so, because they only use it in a negative light now?
