One week over already! How are you enjoying it so far?? 6420. Bad Influence-Eric Clapton 1987 An EC song that would fit in well in the Lite rock format. Remember when Eric LEFT the Yardbirds because they were too POP? From an otherwise good album. 6419. Both Sides of the Story-Phil Collins 1993 Phil lost it by this point. Of course, the musical landscape had changed by then. This just wasn't up to the quality of his first three albums. This was the only song I heard from the album and had no interest in hearing more. 6418. Don't Cry Out Loud-Melissa Manchester 1978/79 Sort of a Broadway style tune, to my ears. I can picture Lora liking this one-do you know it Lora? 6417. I Can See Clearly Now-Johnny Nash 1972 For some reason, Martina does this in most of her concerts. Don't know why she chose this one. It has annoyed me more than anything. I always remember two guys doing this in a talent show with just an acoustice guitar. OY. 6416. Losing My Religion-R.E.M. 1991 I was never big on REM to begin with but I do NOT understand the world's fascination with this song! My DAD even likes it. To me, this is the worst Stipe's voice has ever sounded (and that is really saying something!). Gimmie stuff off of Green any day. 6415. I Found Someone-Cher 1987/88 Cher's stuff at this point all sounded the same. I wasn't big on it. 6414. Veteran Cosmic Rocker-Moody Blues 1981 I saw the Moodies in 88 with my dad and one of his friends. (They took me so they wouldn't appear gay. So they bring a 15 year old BOY to make things look better. : Anyway, they did this in concert. Not a bad album cut, not up to their FM staples though. 6413. You Should Be Mine (The Woo Woo Song)-Jeffrey Osbourne 1986 This should be ranked lower for being called The Woo Woo Song. 6412. Powerful Stuff-Fabulous Thunderbirds 1988 Typical to their sound, but not as good as their biggest couple hits. 6411. Shimmy, Shimmy, Ko-Ko-Bop-Little Anthony & the Imperials 1959/60 Generally the only thing I like from this particular time in rock is Elvis. Little Anthony did better on stuff like Hurt So Bad. 6410. Miss Me Blind-Culture Club 1984 Is it me, or did George sound EXTRA fruity on this one? Must've fueled up on his Hi-C that morning. 6409. Sucker in a 3 Piece-Van Halen 1988 Hagar did something to Van Halen to make them record really dorky songs with really dorky titles. Oh, here is a case in point! 6408. Enjoy Yourself-Jacksons 1976/77 This disco/funk tune wasn't horrible, but I liked the J5 stuff TONS better. 6407. What You Get is What You See-Tine Turner 1987 Tina was trying to live off Private Dancer at this point, and this wasn't quite up to that material. 6406. I Won't Stand in Your Way-Stray Cats 1983 The first day I turned on VH-1 Classic, for some reason, the screen was stuck on the beginning of this video-FOR HOURS! Nice 50's style doo-wop, but I liked the upbeat stuff better. 6405. Lights Out-Peter Wolf 1984 This wasn't too bad, actually good, but weak compared to his stuff with J. Geils. 6404. Dirty Diana-Michael Jackson 1988 He rears his ugly head again! And from the same album! This stuff was so weak. 6403. Hero-Mariah Carey 1993 She's sorta lucky to be on this list. This was barely passable to my ears. 6402. To Live and Die in L.A.-Wang Chung 1985 Wonder how many people remember this one. Only heard it a couple times myself. 6401. Cherish-Kool & the Gang 1985 UGH-I can just HEAR this on those lite rock CD commercials from like 10 years ago. Forgettable. So, whattya think?

I'm enjoying it very much! 6420 - Wasn't familiar with the song but I did find a clip of it , not bad but he's done better - I've been saying that alot this past week ;D 6419 - I remember when this was released but until a few minutes ago had never heard anything from it . not a bad song . From what I read on Amazon / HMV he played all the instruments on the album himself. 6418 - Yeah this one's ok remember heearing it quite a bit at that time . I might even have it on a k -tel compilation. 6417 - I'm sure she does a great job on it though . This is one of the many songs from childhood that brings back wonderful memories. 6416 - Even though this was played to death then and now. I never really got tired of it . I'm not a Huge REM fan, a song here and there. 6415 - Don't know it 6414 - Pretty good song . But not quite up to their usually high standard . 6413 - Nope don't know it 6412 - I love this track - I bought the CD when it came out. 6411 - I actually only hear it every so often , but it's good. 6410 - ewwww 6409 - If I remember correctly - I do have the 45, this was the b side to Finish What Ya Started . I've never listened to "sucker." 6408 - I like this one quite a bit. 6407 - Never heard it 6406 - A very cool ballad - a buddy of mine was also a big fan and would play it often. 6405 - Thought it was ok - I mentioned before that a friend of mine LOVED it . His J geils material was so much more awesome. 6404 - The title is familiar but that's it. 6403 - Idon't know why they let her near a microphone. 6402 - It's been years since I've heard it , but I do remember it. 6401 - I always liked it. pleasant enough.

I'm enjoying it, Adam. Keep on going 6420. Bad Influence-Eric Clapton 1987 Not familiar with it. 6419. Both Sides of the Story-Phil Collins 1993 Don't know this one either 6418. Don't Cry Out Loud-Melissa Manchester 1978/79 It's OK. I much prefer Midnight Blue. 6417. I Can See Clearly Now-Johnny Nash 1972 I actually like this one quite a bit. I think it's the horns blending with Johnny's voice. (Not quite top 250 for me, but top 500) 6416. Losing My Religion-R.E.M. 1991 Ah yes. My son really liked this. He'd play it all the time. Actually he sang it at the reception after his Bar Mitzvah that year. -- Band backed him up and everything. That was kinda funny. Bar Mitzvah? Losing My Religion? -- Actually I read somewhere that the expression Losing My Religion is Southern for cussing, and the song has nothing to do with losing ones religion literally. - Actually, I have no idea what the song is about at all. Nevertheless, for the memories, top 250. 6415. I Found Someone-Cher 1987/88 I prefer slow torture to listening to anything by Cher post 1968. 6414. Veteran Cosmic Rocker-Moody Blues 1981 Sound's familiar, but I can't place it. 6413. You Should Be Mine (The Woo Woo Song)-Jeffrey Osbourne 1986 I'd much prefer the Shoop Shoop Song. 6412. Powerful Stuff-Fabulous Thunderbirds 1988 Don't know it 6411. Shimmy, Shimmy, Ko-Ko-Bop-Little Anthony & the Imperials 1959/60 I agree that Anthony is better on ballads, but I always liked this. (A friend of mine used to call it Chimney Chimney Cocoa Puffs)I have it on one of my Never Made the Top 20 cds. 6410. Miss Me Blind-Culture Club 1984 Barely OK. 6409. Sucker in a 3 Piece-Van Halen 1988 Don't remember it. 6408. Enjoy Yourself-Jacksons 1976/77 I've heard it, and I didn't. (Enjoy myself, that is.) 6407. What You Get is What You See-Tina Turner 1987 Don't know it. 6406. I Won't Stand in Your Way-Stray Cats 1983 Don't know it, but based on what you said about it, and the fact that I like other Stray Cats songs, I'm gonna check it out. 6405. Lights Out-Peter Wolf 1984 Eh 6404. Dirty Diana-Michael Jackson 1988 6403. Hero-Mariah Carey 1993 I'm not a Mariah fan, but I kinda liked this one. 6402. To Live and Die in L.A.-Wang Chung 1985 Don't know it. If it's anything like Every body Wang Chung tonight, it must be a real gem. 6401. Cherish-Kool & the Gang 1985 They did way better than this one.

6420. Bad Influence-Eric Clapton 1987 From my mom's favorite Clapton album. I barely remember the tune though. 6419. Both Sides of the Story-Phil Collins 1993 Yuck 6418. Don't Cry Out Loud-Melissa Manchester 1978/79 I like Midnight Blue better but this is still a good one. 6417. I Can See Clearly Now-Johnny Nash 1972 What?! A Martina criticism? Anyway, this song is not one of my faves. An overplayed classic. 6416. Losing My Religion-R.E.M. 1991 I agree that this song got too much hype. 6415. I Found Someone-Cher 1987/88 I barely remember this. 6414. Veteran Cosmic Rocker-Moody Blues 1981 I've never heard this track 6413. You Should Be Mine (The Woo Woo Song)-Jeffrey Osbourne 1986 No, this should be ranked lower for being a JEFFREY OSBOURNE song. I can't believe you have 3 Aretha songs lower on the list that this one. 6412. Powerful Stuff-Fabulous Thunderbirds 1988 Pales compared to "Wrap It Up" 6411. Shimmy, Shimmy, Ko-Ko-Bop-Little Anthony & the Imperials 1959/60 Not bad 6410. Miss Me Blind-Culture Club 1984 Wow, you really aren't a CC fan. I LOVE this song. Probably my fave from them. 6409. Sucker in a 3 Piece-Van Halen 1988 Sammy did dork them out a little. Don't like this tune but I also haven't heard it since I was in college. 6408. Enjoy Yourself-Jacksons 1976/77 I like this one. 6407. What You Get is What You See-Tine Turner 1987 Next... 6406. I Won't Stand in Your Way-Stray Cats 1983 Kind of forgettable 6405. Lights Out-Peter Wolf 1984 I would think this would be higher on your list. 6404. Dirty Diana-Michael Jackson 1988 I HATE THIS SONG! 6403. Hero-Mariah Carey 1993 This is an example of a well written song but I don't really like Mariah's voice on it. Too syrupy. Although the version she sang for the 9/11 fundraiser was beautiful. 6402. To Live and Die in L.A.-Wang Chung 1985 Not a bad one from them. 6401. Cherish-Kool & the Gang 1985 I like their ballads like "Too Hot" better.

Cool, I finally found it. Looks like there are new icons too...but they only show as red "x"'s for me 6420. Bad Influence-Eric Clapton 1987 Don't know it...weak Clapton period 6419. Both Sides of the Story-Phil Collins 1993 Don't know it, thank goodness. 6418. Don't Cry Out Loud-Melissa Manchester 1978/79 It's okay. Was one of the better ballads of early 79. 6417. I Can See Clearly Now-Johnny Nash 1972 Loved it as a kid, have grown very sick of it. Overplayed and over-covered. 6416. Losing My Religion-R.E.M. 1991 Brilliant song with deep and profound lyrics. Stipes voice has been better and his gasps for air can be heard at some points. Nice mandolin work here. 6415. I Found Someone-Cher 1987/88 Just...yuck! 6414. Veteran Cosmic Rocker-Moody Blues 1981 Don't know it 6413. You Should Be Mine (The Woo Woo Song)-Jeffrey Osbourne 1986 Oh this one was really bad AND annoying 6412. Powerful Stuff-Fabulous Thunderbirds 1988 Nothing special. Not a strong followup to Tough Enough 6411. Shimmy, Shimmy, Ko-Ko-Bop-Little Anthony & the Imperials 1959/60 Little Anthony had much better than this silly little ditty. 6410. Miss Me Blind-Culture Club 1984 It wasn't Hi-C...um...anyway. I kinda liked this song; good harmonies and instrumentation. 6409. Sucker in a 3 Piece-Van Halen 1988 Forgettable. Hagar simply didn't have Dave's charisma although their egos are about the same size. 6408. Enjoy Yourself-Jacksons 1976/77 Is it the Jacksons? Is it the Sylvers? IN 1976/77 you could never be sure...this is a weak effort for MJ & Co. 6407. What You Get is What You See-Tine Turner 1987 This song deserves its ranking. Enough said. 6406. I Won't Stand in Your Way-Stray Cats 1983 HIGHLY overlooked doo-wop ballad reminescent of the late 50's. Good one. 6405. Lights Out-Peter Wolf 1984 Never heard on radio anymore. It was okay. Mediocre... 6404. Dirty Diana-Michael Jackson 1988 Weakest track from "Bad". Would NEVER have been released as a single if this album had been as solid as "Thriller" 6403. Hero-Mariah Carey 1993 God help us all. Please make it stop!!! 6402. To Live and Die in L.A.-Wang Chung 1985 I remember it well. Mediocre song that barely charted. Had a video that was rather hard to figure out (but at least this one didn't induce seizures) 6401. Cherish-Kool & the Gang 1985 This was one of their biggest hits, but simply doesn't stand the test of time like some of their other recordings.

6420. Bad Influence-Eric Clapton 1987 Don't remember it.
6419. Both Sides of the Story-Phil Collins 1993 Know the title, not the song.
6418. Don't Cry Out Loud-Melissa Manchester 1978/79 Never liked it..
6417. I Can See Clearly Now-Johnny Nash 1972 Good one.
6416. Losing My Religion-R.E.M. 1991 Never cared for this one. I like REM in small doses, though.
6415. I Found Someone-Cher 1987/88 eh... She's done better.
6414. Veteran Cosmic Rocker-Moody Blues 1981 Know The Voice and Gemini Dream from this period, not this.
6413. You Should Be Mine (The Woo Woo Song)-Jeffrey Osbourne 1986 He appeared in an episode of Cosby, performing this song. The crazy guy who looked like Coolio got in his face and went "I'LL WOO WOO YOU!" when it appeared that Jeffery was singing it to his girlfriend.. Hilarious!
6412. Powerful Stuff-Fabulous Thunderbirds 1988 The beret guy with the pencil-thin moustache? Sgt. Slaughter's younger brother? LOL!
6411. Shimmy, Shimmy, Ko-Ko-Bop-Little Anthony & the Imperials 1959/60 Cute..
6410. Miss Me Blind-Culture Club 1984 I like it
6409. Sucker in a 3 Piece-Van Halen 1988 OK, 5150 had SOME good moments, but OU812 was the album that really made me realize that Van Hagar sucked!
6408. Enjoy Yourself-Jacksons 1976/77 It was the single that came after this, "Show You The Way To Go" that I REALLY liked.
6407. What You Get is What You See-Tine Turner 1987 Don't remember it.
6406. I Won't Stand in Your Way-Stray Cats 1983 My fave by them.
6405. Lights Out-Peter Wolf 1984 Got played a LOT in summer of '84. It was OK. I don't think I've heard it since it was current!
6404. Dirty Diana-Michael Jackson 1988 One of the better Bad songs, but that isn't saying much.
6403. Hero-Mariah Carey 1993 Only like one song by her, and this is not it..
6402. To Live and Die in L.A.-Wang Chung 1985 Remember the movie, not the song.
6401. Cherish-Kool & the Gang 1985 Blah... Misled was the best single off that album!

6420. I don't know it. 6419. Ditto. 6418. Yes I know this song! I have so many interesting things to say about this song! It was written by Carole Bayer Sager and Peter Allen, who was Liza Minnelli's first husband. Liza's version is actually the one I'm familiar with, and not Melissa Manchester's. Also, Melissa Manchester used to sing backup for Bette. Wow. I scare myself sometimes with all of this useless knowledge that I have. ;D 6417. Is this that "I can see clearly now the rain is gone"? If so, it's way overplayed. 6416. This is my favorite R.E.M. song. I don't know what it is about it. I just love it. 6415. Love it, love it, love it. Of course, there hasn't been much Cher has recorded that I didn't like! 6414. I'm not familiar with Moody Blues. 6413. NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't even know this song, it just sounds REALLY lame. 6412. Don't know it. 6411. See above. 6410. Yet again, I don't know it. 6409. This either. 6408. Or this one. 6407. Ditto. 6406. Double ditto. 6405. Boy, am I on a roll! 6404. Keep 'em coming! 6403. This is my favorite Mariah Carey song. These lyrics mean so much to me, and this is one of her most beautiful vocal performances. She dressed it up just enough, but not too much. Gorgeous. 6402. I don't know this song. 6401. Or this one.

6420. Bad Influence-Eric Clapton 1987 I'm not too familiar with this one.
6419. Both Sides of the Story-Phil Collins 1993 I must agree that Phil had lost his touch by this time.
6418. Don't Cry Out Loud-Melissa Manchester 1978/79 Wonderful vocals from Melissa. I love to sing along with this one.
6417. I Can See Clearly Now-Johnny Nash 1972 I remember singing this a lot as a little kid.
6416. Losing My Religion-R.E.M. 1991 I like the guitar work on this, but I'm not crazy about the vocals.
6415. I Found Someone-Cher 1987/88 Nice, but I like her 70's work more.
6414. Veteran Cosmic Rocker-Moody Blues 1981 This is one I should know (I have Long Distance Voyager), but can't quite place.
6413. You Should Be Mine (The Woo Woo Song)-Jeffrey Osbourne 1986 I've always kinda liked this one.
6412. Powerful Stuff-Fabulous Thunderbirds 1988 I don't know this one, but if it sounds anything like 'Wrap It Up', I think I'd like it.
6411. Shimmy, Shimmy, Ko-Ko-Bop-Little Anthony & the Imperials 1959/60 Little Anthony did a much better job with the ballads.
6410. Miss Me Blind-Culture Club 1984 Loved this back in the day, and still do.
6409. Sucker in a 3 Piece-Van Halen 1988 I'm not familiar with this one.
6408. Enjoy Yourself-Jacksons 1976/77 I really like this - kind of a cross between early Jackson 5 and the more disco-oriented songs they did in the late 70s.
6407. What You Get is What You See-Tine Turner 1987 Not Tina's best, definitely.
6406. I Won't Stand in Your Way-Stray Cats 1983 Don't know this one.
6405. Lights Out-Peter Wolf 1984 I like this, but I agree, his work with J. Geils was better.
6404. Dirty Diana-Michael Jackson 1988 I don't like this one as much as I used to.
6403. Hero-Mariah Carey 1993 Nice lyrics, but I like Mariah better on the faster numbers like 'Someday' and 'Make It Happen'.
6402. To Live and Die in L.A.-Wang Chung 1985 I can't recall this one.
6401. Cherish-Kool & the Gang 1985 I agree with Pete - 'Misled' was definitely the best track from Emergency.

[glow=red,2,300]6420. Bad Influence-Eric Clapton 1987 This is an okay song. I can stand it anyway.
6419. Both Sides of the Story-Phil Collins 1993 I haven't heard this one.
6418. Don't Cry Out Loud-Melissa Manchester 1978/79 I haven't heard this one either.
6417. I Can See Clearly Now-Johnny Nash 1972 I don't really care for this song that much.
6416. Losing My Religion-R.E.M. 1991 It is an okay song but I agree--it is overrated.
6415. I Found Someone-Cher 1987/88 I was never big on Cher to begin with, and I don't really care for this song.
6414. Veteran Cosmic Rocker-Moody Blues 1981 Not one of my favorite Moody Blues songs.
6413. You Should Be Mine (The Woo Woo Song)-Jeffrey Osbourne 1986 This song irritates me.
6412. Powerful Stuff-Fabulous Thunderbirds 1988 I haven't heard this song yet.
6411. Shimmy, Shimmy, Ko-Ko-Bop-Little Anthony & the Imperials 1959/60 I haven't heard this one.
6410. Miss Me Blind-Culture Club 1984 I don't really like this song much, but I was never that big on Culture Club either.
6409. Sucker in a 3 Piece-Van Halen 1988 I haven't heard this one.
6408. Enjoy Yourself-Jacksons 1976/77 Nor this one.
6407. What You Get is What You See-Tine Turner 1987 An okay song. Not one of my favorites by her though.

Loving it!
6420. Not bad. 6419. This song was a bit drawn out; otherwise, quite good. 6418. Growing on me VERY slowly; the only top 40 tune from 1979 I don't rave over. 6417. This tune ALWAYS works for me when I'm having a "down" day. One of the most optimistic songs ever recorded. 6416. Sorry, Sat--one of my 2 faves from them--both from the same album! 6415. Pretty great; coming hot off her Oscar win. 6414. From their all-time best album! I love every song on it; no exception here! 6413. I have hardly heard this since it was current! Even in public places like McDonald's where I expect to hear it! I could hear this one again! 6412. SHO NUFF! Rock on, Fabs! 6411. Always loved this! 6410. You better pack MY dance floor with this! 6409. Not too shabby, one I play less often from VH. 6408. I've known this since it hit! And it hasn't let up! Get your dance on! 6407. How this hit bigger than "Two people" is WAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY beyond me. Nowhere NEAR as good. 6406. If Rali hasn't heard this, she should. I can picture her LOVING this. But I prefer their bigger hits. 6405. Dance, dance, dance! Always LOVED this to death. 6404. Well, there's the 6th of 8! Just the title smash...and... (PLEASE I hope you didn't forget about it! It was used in the short Captain E-O film) 6403. Her best song yet to the time. I swear Mariah is speaking to me on this. So when I feel that hope is gone, you know how to talk to me, Mariah. Just the exact opposite of Bette's only #1. Sory, Lora. 6402. This one seemed to get a LOT more play than the slightly bigger (in peak) "Don't let go". Haven't heard it much since 1986. 6401. Most of my family loves this song. A far cry from their disco/dance stuff.

6412. You might want to check this one out.... Just did. I like it a lot! Has a lot of CCR influence in there. Also checked out the Stray Cats I Won't Stand In Your Way. Like that one too. Thanks, Adam.

6420. Bad Influence-Eric Clapton 1987 I'm not familiar, but I don't care for Clapton.
6419. Both Sides of the Story-Phil Collins 1993 Actually, I liked this one.
6418. Don't Cry Out Loud-Melissa Manchester 1978/79 I really don't like this one. The part about crying over the circus. I can understand the clowns freaking you out, but it's just a lame-o song in my opinion. She didn't want parades passing by her? UM-kay.
6417. I Can See Clearly Now-Johnny Nash 1972 I like this one, but can't picture Martina singing it.
6416. Losing My Religion-R.E.M. 1991 I try not to understand their songs. I just like this one.
6415. I Found Someone-Cher 1987/88 I don't care for this era of Cher.
6414. Veteran Cosmic Rocker-Moody Blues 1981 I saw them that same year! Sur La Mer tour. I like this one.
6413. You Should Be Mine (The Woo Woo Song)-Jeffrey Osbourne 1986 We saw Kevin Meaney do a stand-up show once. He used to sing songs ala Wayne Newton - this one was funny!
6412. Powerful Stuff-Fabulous Thunderbirds 1988 I like Wrap It Up. That's about it.
6411. Shimmy, Shimmy, Ko-Ko-Bop-Little Anthony & the Imperials 1959/60 No thanks.
6410. Miss Me Blind-Culture Club 1984 Again with the gay cracks regarding my bands! This song is great! You want some good imagery? Time (Is Like A Clock Of The Heart) was written about their drummer! Think about that!
6409. Sucker in a 3 Piece-Van Halen 1988 I'm not familiar with this one.
6408. Enjoy Yourself-Jacksons 1976/77 Or this one.
6407. What You Get is What You See-Tine Turner 1987 No thanks.
6406. I Won't Stand in Your Way-Stray Cats 1983 I don't like the Stray Cats.
6405. Lights Out-Peter Wolf 1984 Love it! Come as you are is better, but this one's good.
6404. Dirty Diana-Michael Jackson 1988 He really needs to just go away....
6403. Hero-Mariah Carey 1993 I can't stand her at all!
6402. To Live and Die in L.A.-Wang Chung 1985 I love this one. Have it on cd. THe movie sucked.
6401. Cherish-Kool & the Gang 1985 Too many weddings in the 80's......
