Here's the next installment. Thanks for the comments and feedback!! 30. “Have You Never Been Mellow" - Olivia Newton-John - So many good memories of hearing this song played on the stereo. 29. “Shining Star" - Earth, Wind & Fire - I used to dance around the living room with my dad to this one. 28. "December 1963 (Oh, What A Night)" - The Four Seasons – Although overplayed now, I remember loving this one when I was little. 27. "Fifty Ways To Leave Your Lover" - Paul Simon – On our summer road that year my grandmother and I sang this in the car constantly and made up new words. I found it highly amusing. 26. "Rhinestone Cowboy" – Glen Campbell – My mother was always a Campbell fan. 25. "SOS" - Abba – One of the first ABBA songs that I can remember hearing a lot. 24. "They Just Can't Stop It (Games People Play)" - The Spinners – This song reminds me of summertime picnics for some reason. 23. “Ophelia” – The Band – Their music was a staple in my household and this song just makes you want to dance around. Love Levon’s voice on this track. 22. "Why Can't We Be Friends?" - War – Again, this is a song that I remember was always coming out of stereos in my neighborhood. 21. "Wildfire" - Michael Murphy – I loved this song so much when I was a child. It used to make me so sad. 20. “It Only Takes A Minute" - Tavares – I think my parents had this album, because I remember hearing this song a lot and I don’t think it was from radio play, although it was a top 10 song that year. 19. "Sister Golden Hair” - America – This band was always played in the car. We had the 8-track of the Hearts album. 18. "How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)" - James Taylor – Another childhood staple. My parents would definitely sing this one all the time. 17. "Dance With Me" - Orleans – Another one that I remember from lots of radio play. I still love this tune. 16. “Daisy Jane" - America – Probably the best track off the Hearts album. A beautiful song.

Hey Kitty! Some good ones here today
30. “Have You Never Been Mellow" - Olivia Newton-John - She put out a bunch of hits in the mid to late '70s, most of which were pleasant to listen to. None of them stood out for me, but all were good.
29. “Shining Star" - Earth, Wind & Fire - I've never been a EW&F fan. This isn't bad, though
28. "December 1963 (Oh, What A Night)" - The Four Seasons – I was soooo happy when this came out. A comeback by the 4 Seasons. Great song!
27. "Fifty Ways To Leave Your Lover" - Paul Simon – Did you ever hear the post 9/11 version "50 Ways To Kill Bin Laden" (Just drop him a bomb, Tom.)
26. "Rhinestone Cowboy" – Glen Campbell – I never liked the "concept" of Glen Campbell, but if you take his songs one by one, most of them, including this one, are quite good.
25. "SOS" - Abba – I can't understand why they were disrespected so much. Good group, good song.
24. "They Just Can't Stop It (Games People Play)" - The Spinners – Outstanding song! My second fave from them.
23. “Ophelia” – The Band – Don't know it
22. "Why Can't We Be Friends?" - War – Eh.
21. "Wildfire" - Michael Murphy – Sad and spooky sounding also. A good one also.
20. “It Only Takes A Minute" - Tavares – Aside from the Bee Gees (who I like DESPITE their decline into disco), this is my fave disco group. This is a good song.
19. "Sister Golden Hair” - America – My fave by them, and in my all time Top 250. Especially love the guitar intro and the opening lines.
18. "How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)" - James Taylor – Not up to par with the original. James has done better.
17. "Dance With Me" - Orleans – Good song that has become an oldies standard.
16. “Daisy Jane" - America – It wasn't bad. Haven't heard it in a long time.

30. Haven't heard this one, but ONJ is a wonderful singer.
29. Probably have heard it, but doesn't come to mind right now.
28. Oh what a night! Good one.
27. I've never actually heard this song.
26. Don't know it. I'm not very familiar with Glen Campbell.
25. Don't know this one.
24. Isn't it weird sometimes what songs we relate to certain events or times in our lives? I don't know this Spinners tune.
23. Not familiar with it.
22. By the title, I think I'd like this song, but I don't know it.
21 - 19. Don't know these.
18. Very good song!

Hey Kitty Here We Go 30. I bought the 45 back then - I really loved it and played it over and over... I wonder what happened to it ?? 29. Great 70's funk 28. Locally I don't get to hear it quite as much as I would like - excellent song. 27. Very cool tune. 26.Really liked this - I use to sing along to it whenever it was on the radio . Glen was on quite a roll. 25. Probably my #1 fave of Abba's we had the 45's of this and Waterloo in the house. 24.Yet another song I had on a Ktel comp. 23. I don't remember hearing this until the early 80's - it's one of my faves from Levon and the gang . I remember hearing The Night they Drove Old Dixie Down back then though. 22. Love it alot still 21. A friend I went to school with loved this and would ask to hear it everytime he came to the house. 20 Don't know this Tavares tune. 19. A huge fave around the house back in the 70's - a perfect pop record - love the harmonies and the slide guitar. 18.My oldest brother was a huge fan of James , and had (has) a few of the albums - I picked up the 45 in the early 80's. 17.This is a GREAT song - another 45 I found in the 80's a buddy of mine use to tease me about liking it. 16. Woo Hoo - Yup another fine tune from America.

More evidence pointing to 75 being one of the best years! In fact, you have my fave song by the 70's two top soul acts, as well as my fave America song!
30. Olivia is just great. Not my fave from her, but I'd basically listen to anything of hers.
29. Love it, absolutely love it. Grew up with it, and then my wife and I used to dance to it while we were dating. Near the toppermost of the INSANE list.
28. Really a great tune. It's become a bit of a retro classic at weddings, and I'd actually rather listen to Who Loves You more, but still, it's really good!
27. Not too bad, considering I don't like him.
26. A really good song that I like a lot, but like the Four Seasons song, I'd actually rather listen to Southern Nights. But again, this is still really good!!
25. I like ABBA. I got burnt on them in the mid 90's, but this is one of the stronger tracks. Love the "When you're gone..." part.
24. My fave from them. How could you not love the "12:45....." section??
23. The only one on here I don't know. Unless it was on their original greatest hits, then I heard it at some point.
22. Not too bad. Gets play on the Timeless Rock station here.
21. Great, sad tune. Wrote What Am I Doin' Hangin' 'Round for the Monkees.
20. Not too bad, not one of disco's best though.
19. An all time fave. Also VERY high on the list. I'm with H2-what an intro! I don't know anyone who DOESN'T like this song!
18. Not a bad cover, but not JT's best.
17. Really a cool tune. Very "of the times" in terms of the style of music.
16. Also love this one. Beckley has a great voice. Never knew this til I had the greatest hits.

30. Good tune--don't hear it much anymore. 29. Catchy and danceable. 28. Overplayed, but still decent. 27. Somebody post the "Bin Laden" version--that sounds cool! 26. Got tired of this one rather quickly. 25. Always liked this one. Didn't Peter Cetera do a remake of this with Anna-Frid or Agnetha once? 24. Another good one. 23. Don't know it. 22. Like this one. Reminds me of when the US and USSR linked up in space(wasn't that in '75?) 21. Sweet, sad and spooky all at once. 20. Good disco song. 19. LOVE THIS ONE! I remember being eight years old and absolutely shocked at the word "damn" and the line "I got myself undressed." 18. Not a bad remake. 17. Still like this one today. 16. Ditto! Never hear it anymore, though.

25. Always liked this one. Didn't Peter Cetera do a remake of this with Anna-Frid or Agnetha once? Really? I'd love to hear that. I can totally see Cetera hooking up with Anna-Frid on a duet.

Have You Never Been Mellow--I'm a big Olivia fan. This is a good song by her.
Shining Star--Not really into Earth Wind and Fire. Not crazy about this song.
December 1963--Like it a lot. Remember playing the 45 quite a bit.
Fifty Ways to Leave Your Lover--Good one. Catchy.
Rhinestone Cowboy--I always say I don't like Glen Campbell, but my grandma listened to his music all the time, so whenever I hear something by him, good memories of my grandma are always associated with the song. So I guess he ain't all bad. ;D
SOS--Didn't like this song much when it was popular. It's kinda grown on me through the years, tho.
They Just Can't Stop It--Always liked this song.
Ophelia--Don't remember it.
Why Can't We Be Friends--It's ok. Nuthin' special to me.
Wildfire--Too depressing.
It Only Takes A Minute--Not bad. Hardly ever hear it anymore.
Sister Golden Hair--America's a great group. I like this song.
How Sweet It Is--I had this 45 and played it a lot.
Dance With Me--This is one I never get tired of.
Daisy Jane--Love this tune.
