6240. Boogie Fever-Sylvers 1976 I actually like the Sylvers. This tune isn't bad. 6239. Psycho Killer-Talking Heads 1978 This gets a lot of airplay around here - too much. It's an ok song but not one of my absolute faves from them. 6238. Thunder Road-Bruce Springsteen 1975 A songwriter that I respect, but I really don't get into that much. 6237. Stay the Night-Ben Orr 1986/87 Wow, I totally loved this song in highschool. 6236. Headed For a Heartbreak-Winger 1989 I loved Winger in college. This song is really sappy. 6235. Sunspot Baby-Bob Seger 1976 (Previous ranking 3415) I haven't heard this in years. I can't remember how it goes. 6234. Gloria-U2 1981 Is this a cover of the Van Morrison/Them classic? If so then I've never heard U2's version and I don't think I'd like it. 6233. Real Wild Child (Wild One)-Iggy Pop 1986 Not one of my absolute faves from him. But I'm glad he's making $$ off it in commercials. 6232. Play Something Sweet (Brickyard Blues)-Three Dog Night 1974 Ditto your comments. 6231. Catch the Wind-Donovan 1965 This track's kind of blah for me. 6230. Wait For Me (Live)-Hall & Oates 1979/80 They have much better stuff 6229. Longfellow Serenade-Neil Diamond 1974 I like a lot of other Diamond tunes better. 6228. Respect-Aretha Franklin 1967 This track is probably overplayed, and it's not my fave from her but I love her. I actually like Otis Redding's (who wrote it) version of this better. 6227. Avalon-Roxy Music 1982 An 80s classic. A definite fave of mine. 6226. Falling in Love is So Hard on the Knees-Aerosmith 1997 I hate most of their stuff from the late 90s. 6225. Make Love Like a Man-Def Leppard 1992 They've done so much better. 6224. Near Wild Heaven-R.E.M. 1991 I like this track better than Losing My Religion too, but it's still nowhere near their best. 6223. This Time-Troy Shondell 1961 Very blah 6222. Can't We Try-Dan Hill w/Vonda Sheppard 1987 HATE it! 6221. Neutron Dance-Pointer Sisters 1984/85 Very dated. Not one of my faves from them. 6224. I agree!

6240. Boogie fever, ya got to boogie down! Yee haw! Not bad. 6239. I was never big on this group, although I do like Burning Down the House...somewhat. 6238. Don't know this one. 6237. Not familiar with him. 6236. Nice. The only Winger song I know. But, I'm okay with that. 6235. I like a couple of his tunes, but I don't know this one. 6234. Don't know it. 6233. I don't know much Iggy either. I'm sure I've heard this one since you said it's in a lot of commercials. I guess I just heard it and never knew the title or something. 6232. Not familiar with this Three Dog Night tune. 6231. I don't believe I've heard this one... 6230. Don't know it. 6229. Ick. I'm not fond of Neil Diamond at all. 6228. Love it, but I'm probably one of the few who thinks she has better songs. 6227. Don't know this one. 6226. LOL, I haven't heard this one either. Creative title. 6225. Sounds a little suspicious to me... 6224. I might like this one if I ever heard it. 6223. This one sounds familiar, but I can't place it. 6222. Vonda Sheppard's pretty good. Ha ha - Sometimes When We Touch! I always associate that song with the SNL movie Superstar. 6221. Neutron Dance? Neutron? Okay then... 6228. No, I agree with you!

6240 - I 've always really liked this for some reason - nice memories. 6239 - My classic rock station really love them. I've just recently really got into the tune. Great solid bass playing from Tina. 6238 - This is a pretty good tune - it's been a while since I've gave it a listen. 6237 - Heard this quite a bit actually at the time - thought it was good from what I remember. Ben had such a great voice - RIP. 6236 - I didn't either - I still don't LOL 6235 - This has always been a fave of mine from Night Moves - My local station plays it occasionally. 6234 - Is this a cover of the Van Morrison tune? well even if it's not - I still haven't heard it . 6233 - A buddy of mine really got into this when it came out - he loved it. I don't know that many songs from the Iggy but it's not bad . 6232 - The lyrics are a bit goofy but I like the tune . This was not include on the old greatest hits album that I have on viny. but I'm glad it's on the anthology collection. 6231 - I'm a big fan - from his early period I really like this , Colors and Universal soldier. 6230 - I've always wondered about that as well where is part 2 ? You know I've had the CD for years and I've never listen to this track. 6229 - He did so much better during that period. 6228 - I just love that soul groove - so good . 6227 - It's ok but I like More Than This better. 6226 - It is - it's nice to see them still out there playing (touring with KISS - woo hoo!) i thought it was a good catchy tune. 6225 - LOL - I like it alot - great cowbell. 6224 - Don't know it. 6223 - The name is familiar 6222 - I don't know it 6221 - I have to admit it's catchy . 6234. No, actually, it's a different tune. 6232. Is that the first Greatest Hits disc, with the yellow cover, written in script on the cover? Cuz I have the 2 LP where The Best of is written in crayon, and it has it on there.

6240. Boogie Fever-Sylvers 1976 It annoys me too, Sat. 6239. Psycho Killer-Talking Heads 1978 Don't know it 6238. Thunder Road-Bruce Springsteen 1975 Have this on a cassette. It's OK, not great. I prefer the Robert Mitchum song with the same name. 6237. Stay the Night-Ben Orr 1986/87 I prefer Emotion in Motion - and I don't llike that one very much. lol 6236. Headed For a Heartbreak-Winger 1989 Heard of the group, but no nothing about them 6235. Sunspot Baby-Bob Seger 1976 (Previous ranking 3415) Don't know it. 6234. Gloria-U2 1981 I've burned a cd of about 20 or so songs, each one of which is titled "Gloria". This of course is on the cd along with about 5 versions of the Van Morrison song, the doo wop song, the Brannigan song, etc. The U2 song is pretty good. 6233. Real Wild Child (Wild One)-Iggy Pop 1986 Don't know it. 6232. Play Something Sweet (Brickyard Blues)-Three Dog Night 1974 Even though I really like 3DN, I had only heard this song a few times until recently. It's a great song, IMO. I play it often now. 6231. Catch the Wind-Donovan 1965 I've said before that there are some Donovan songs I love, and some I hate. I'm neutral to none. I love this one. 6230. Wait For Me (Live)-Hall & Oates 1979/80 Barely remember it. 6229. Longfellow Serenade-Neil Diamond 1974 Like his earlier stuff better 6228. Respect-Aretha Franklin 1967 This has become (or always was) a top tier rock classic. Deservedly? Maybe. Not a bad song. I liked it a lot in the day. But being a top tier rock classic means that the pea-brains who develop playlists for oldies stations insist on it being played 5 times an hour. (Kinda like going to a Chinese restaurant and always ordering Chicken Chow Mein). 6227. Avalon-Roxy Music 1982 Don't know it 6226. Falling in Love is So Hard on the Knees-Aerosmith 1997 I don't really mind this one, but like many of their tunes a lot more. 6225. Make Love Like a Man-Def Leppard 1992 Don't know it 6224. Near Wild Heaven-R.E.M. 1991 Have heard it, but don't remember it. 6223. This Time-Troy Shondell 1961 Actually, Troy was never a "Bobby". He was a one-hit wonder nobody, basically. The rock hating crowd wouldn't have liked this one at all. It's a teenager's lament. It was the young girls who liked it. - But Troy could barely carry a tune. Listen to this song sometimes, and listen how Troy keeps sliding up and down the scale trying to find the right pitch. 6222. Can't We Try-Dan Hill w/Vonda Sheppard 1987 Eh. 6221. Neutron Dance-Pointer Sisters 1984/85 Double Eh. 6223. I guess I need to listen to this again. Or maybe I'm better off NOT! LOL!

6240. Boogie Fever-Sylvers 1976 Not bad. This and "Hot Line" got MUCHO play at the time, but were both pretty cheesy. 6239. Psycho Killer-Talking Heads 1978 Good one from the first album (in '77, not '78). Not the best song on that album, though. I actually like the live version of this better. 6238. Thunder Road-Bruce Springsteen 1975 I know a lot of people love this, I just can't get into Bruce. 6237. Stay the Night-Ben Orr 1986/87 I like this one, DEFINITELY better than "Emotion In Motion". RIP.. 6236. Headed For a Heartbreak-Winger 1989 No, plain and simple, NO! 6235. Sunspot Baby-Bob Seger 1976 (Previous ranking 3415) Don't know it.. 6234. Gloria-U2 1981 I like the October album a lot, but a lot of people, even U2 FANS, don't care for it. This is NOT the Van Morrison tune, or the Laura Brannigan tune.. Got a lot of AOR play in the 80's, you never hear it today. 6233. Real Wild Child (Wild One)-Iggy Pop 1986 Not my favorite Iggy Pop tune. I like "Lust For Life" and "The Passenger" better. (I've seen both of those used in commercials, I don't think I've heard this one used). 6232. Play Something Sweet (Brickyard Blues)-Three Dog Night 1974 One of their last hits, in fact I think it was next-to-last. I like it! 6231. Catch the Wind-Donovan 1965 Must be the original version on Hickory, not the re-recording on his Greatest Hits. 6230. Wait For Me (Live)-Hall & Oates 1979/80 I'm confused, I know the live version was on the GH, but was the live or the studio version the hit? 6229. Longfellow Serenade-Neil Diamond 1974 Never knew this until recently. I like it. 6228. Respect-Aretha Franklin 1967 Sick of it.. 6227. Avalon-Roxy Music 1982 Title track to their last album. I was listening to them a lot last year at this time, because I saw Bryan Ferry sometime around Halloween. 6226. Falling in Love is So Hard on the Knees-Aerosmith 1997 I remember when this came out. I think the title alone made me avoid it like the plague.. 6225. Make Love Like a Man-Def Leppard 1992 See Aerosmith comment.. 6224. Near Wild Heaven-R.E.M. 1991 I don't know this one, but was never too impressed with "Out Of Time". 6223. This Time-Troy Shondell 1961 A buddy of mine knows someone who played on this record. I don't think I've ever heard it. 6222. Can't We Try-Dan Hill w/Vonda Sheppard 1987 Dan Hill, no thank you!! 6221. Neutron Dance-Pointer Sisters 1984/85 My dog used to do this little thing where she'd sit and scratch her hindquarters, while spinning in a circle and licking straight up at the air. We used to call it the "Neutron Dance". I never liked this song, personally. Always thought the Pointer singing lead sounded like Weezy from The Jeffersons.. You're busting me on all kinds of stuff here! LOL! 6239. Was it a single? If so, I put the year it peaked. 6233. Not sure what commercial, but PRETTY sure it is. 6231. Didn't know it was a re-recording! That's the only version I know! 6230. Ok, you got me here-I think the single was studio, so technically my years are wrong here!

Not many I know in this installment, but I'll do my best... 6240. Not bad. I'll listen to it when it comes on the radio. 6239-6238. Don't know them. 6237. Quite different from the Chicago song of the same name. ;D I didn't know he passed away. 6236-6233. Don't know them. 6232. Actually like this one--I'm a big 3Dog fan. IIRC, it was their last Top 20 hit. How many songs are you gonna hear with the word "Jello" in the lyrics? 6231. Heard of it, but never heard it. 6230. Never heard the live version, but know the original. OK, if a tad repetitive("Wait for me, wait for me, wait for me...") 6229. He's done better . 6228. A soul classic. 6227-6223. Don't know them. 6222. Four words--pass the barf bucket... 6221. Catchy, upbeat tune, if a little dated. 6232. I never noticed that before! LOL!

6240. Boogie Fever-Sylvers 1976 Great one - I remember buying the 45 back then. 6239. Psycho Killer-Talking Heads 1978 I'm not too familiar with this one, but 'Burning Down the House' is good. 6238. Thunder Road-Bruce Springsteen 1975 From the classic Born to Run album. Haven't heard this in a while. 6237. Stay the Night-Ben Orr 1986/87 Love this - brings back memories of Christmas '86. 6236. Headed For a Heartbreak-Winger 1989 I've never really gotten into their music. 6235. Sunspot Baby-Bob Seger 1976 (Previous ranking 3415) A classic from Bob - not one of my favorites, though. 6234. Gloria-U2 1981 I can't place this offhand, but I've always been partial to their early songs, so I'd probably like this. 6233. Real Wild Child (Wild One)-Iggy Pop 1986 Not familiar with this one. 6232. Play Something Sweet (Brickyard Blues)-Three Dog Night 1974 That's where I first heard it too, I believe. Not among their top songs, but still very good - should be getting more play on the oldies stations. 6231. Catch the Wind-Donovan 1965 I sometimes forget about this one for some reason. Very beautiful, and nicely done. 6230. Wait For Me (Live)-Hall & Oates 1979/80 Great song from this duo, but very overlooked on the radio, both then and now. 6229. Longfellow Serenade-Neil Diamond 1974 Lots of childhood memories of hearing this one. A Neil favorite of mine. 6228. Respect-Aretha Franklin 1967 An Aretha classic, but admittedly it has been overplayed over the years. 6227. Avalon-Roxy Music 1982 I don't know this one. 'Love is the Drug' is great, though - years ahead of its time, IMO. 6226. Falling in Love is So Hard on the Knees-Aerosmith 1997 Nah - I'm not much of a fan of their 90s material. 6225. Make Love Like a Man-Def Leppard 1992 Same story as with Aerosmith above. Those lyrics are kind of odd, I agree. 6224. Near Wild Heaven-R.E.M. 1991 I haven't heard this one. 6223. This Time-Troy Shondell 1961 I know I've heard this, but the tune isn't coming to me. 6222. Can't We Try-Dan Hill w/Vonda Sheppard 1987 'Sometimes When We Touch' was a much better song. 6221. Neutron Dance-Pointer Sisters 1984/85 Not my favorite from the Pointers, but catchy. One of my best friends asked our high school chemistry teacher (a very stern man) if he'd ever heard of the Neutron Dance! 6221. LOL!! What did he say??

6240. Boogie Fever-Sylvers 1976 You're right - it's not that great - now forever will be linked to Old Navy for me. 6239. Psycho Killer-Talking Heads 1978 Oh, but this song ROCKS!!!!!! Just as good as their 80's stuff! 6238. Thunder Road-Bruce Springsteen 1975 I so dont' like this song..... 6237. Stay the Night-Ben Orr 1986/87 It wasn't bad, but dont' be busting on my Emotion in Motion! THat's it........"I would do anything....to hold on to you. Just about anything...that you want me to. I hold on to you.....'til the mountains crumble flat, I hold on to you......" You deserved that! 6236. Headed For a Heartbreak-Winger 1989 Um, ok Stuart. I don't do Winger - sorry. 6235. Sunspot Baby-Bob Seger 1976 (Previous ranking 3415) I'm not a Bob Seger fan - don't know why - just don't like him. 6234. Gloria-U2 1981 It's ok - better than Patty Smith's version...... 6233. Real Wild Child (Wild One)-Iggy Pop 1986 This song rocks, but not as good as Lust For Life. 6232. Play Something Sweet (Brickyard Blues)-Three Dog Night 1974 I'm not familiar.... 6231. Catch the Wind-Donovan 1965 This is a good song - he's way underrated. 6230. Wait For Me (Live)-Hall & Oates 1979/80 There was no part 2 as far as I can tell. That's why I got rid of part 1 and bought that imported set, but sadly, this one's not on it, and I really like it. 6229. Longfellow Serenade-Neil Diamond 1974 Eh. 6228. Respect-Aretha Franklin 1967 I respect her too, but this song is WAY overplayed. 6227. Avalon-Roxy Music 1982 It's ok. I much prefer "More Than This". 6226. Falling in Love is So Hard on the Knees-Aerosmith 1997 I don't like Aerosmith - sorry. 6225. Make Love Like a Man-Def Leppard 1992 I'm gonna pull a B&B on this one....."You're a man?". After Pyromania, their stuff all sounded exactly the same, and they kept putting out the same video over and over. 6224. Near Wild Heaven-R.E.M. 1991 It's pretty good. 6223. This Time-Troy Shondell 1961 Not familiar. 6222. Can't We Try-Dan Hill w/Vonda Sheppard 1987 I'm not wild about this one or Sometimes When We Touch. 6221. Neutron Dance-Pointer Sisters 1984/85 It's not bad, but too closely linked to Beverly Hills Cop. 6234. Actually, I wasn't thinking of the cover, I was thinking of their original tune of the same name.

Boogie Fever--Always liked this one. Good childhood memories. Psycho Killer--Title sounds like I should know it. Can't think of how it goes, though. Thunder Road--Like it. Melissa Etheridge and Bruce did a version of this on her "Unplugged" concert on MTV. Made me like it better. Stay the Night--Not bad. Not something I'd make an effort to listen to though. Headed for a Heartbreak--Yeah, I was into Winger back then. Kip was awful darn cute. Sunspot Baby--Really like this. But I really like Bob Seger. Gloria--Don't know it. Real Wild Child--Like it a lot. Never knew it was Iggy Pop until recently. LOL! Play Something Sweet--Love this. Hadn't heard it in quite awhile, and one day my mom and I went into a local pizza place, and they had a juke box. This song was on it, and I played it--suddenly I was transported back into my childhood again. Now whenever I go into that place, I make a point to play that song. Catch the Wind--Was never into Donovan a whole lot, but this song's pretty good. Wait For Me--Never heard it. Longfellow Seranade--It's ok. Not a favorite Neil song of mine though. Respect--I think I've heard this song enough to last a lifetime. Avalon--Don't know it. Falling in Love is So Hard on the Knees--A little too cutesy for me. Make Love Like a Man--Don't think I know this one. Near Wild Heaven--I have the Out of Time CD. Haven't played it in a long while, and I don't remember this song. This Time--Before my time. Never heard it. Can't We Try--Like it a lot. When Vonda Shepard was having her "Ally McBeal" success, she was supposed to come here for a concert. My sis in law and I were gonna go see her, but she postponed for some reason. Then, when she rescheduled, we were gonna go see her, and she finally just cancelled the whole thing. Now I don't like Vonda Shepard anymore. LOL! Neutron Dance--Love this. Played it a lot at parties. Vonda Sheppard-what a b!tch!

[glow=red,2,300]6240. Boogie Fever-Sylvers 1976 This song isn't one of my favorite disco songs. 6239. Psycho Killer-Talking Heads 1978 This song is all right. I like to hear it every once in a while but I do not hear it often. 6238. Thunder Road-Bruce Springsteen 1975 I've never really been that big on his music. This song is all right, though. 6237. Stay the Night-Ben Orr 1986/87 I haven't heard this song. 6236. Headed For a Heartbreak-Winger 1989 I'm really not too big on this song. 6235. Sunspot Baby-Bob Seger 1976 (Previous ranking 3415) I haven't heard this song yet. 6234. Gloria-U2 1981 I don't like this song that much, but I have never been a fan of U2 either. 6233. Real Wild Child (Wild One)-Iggy Pop 1986 This song is very irritating. 6232. Play Something Sweet (Brickyard Blues)-Three Dog Night 1974 I've never heard this song. 6231. Catch the Wind-Donovan 1965 This song is all right. 6230. Wait For Me (Live)-Hall & Oates 1979/80 I haven't heard this yet. 6229. Longfellow Serenade-Neil Diamond 1974 This is not my favorite Neil Diamond song, but it isn't really bad, I guess. 6228. Respect-Aretha Franklin 1967 This song is good every once in a while. 6227. Avalon-Roxy Music 1982 I haven't heard this song yet. 6226. Falling in Love is So Hard on the Knees-Aerosmith 1997 This is all right...I don't really care much for Aerosmith though. 6225. Can't We Try-Dan Hill w/Vonda Sheppard 1987 I don't really care for this song that much. 6221. Neutron Dance-Pointer Sisters 1984/85 This song is pretty cool.[/glow] 6233. I love the REM one. (#6224-"Near Wild Heaven") I have the CD "Out of Time" and that's one of my fav songs on it ("Radio Song" is another). #6228-"Respect"-I like this song but it has been WAY overplayed (even used on commercials and stuff like that). The problem is that a lot of oldies stations have only about 20 songs in their playlist. So do most radio stations of ANY format, I think. They must think we, the listeners, all have VERY short attention spans. Well, guess what, many of us don't. I liked Radio Song too, even though it had that little "rap" section in it. That is EXACTLY what radio programmers think about us! And that is SO wrong!

Boogie Fever - Another really crappy disco song. Psycho Killer - Don't remember this one Thunder Road - Good song from Bruce, but not really one of his best. Stay the Night & Headed for a Heartbreak - Don't know them Sunspot Baby - As much as I like Bob Seger, I think he missed it on this one. Gloria - Not really up on U2's stuff (don't really like them). Real Wild Child - Don't know it Play Something Sweet - Like you, this is a good song, but it seemed like they were just playing out the string by this time. Catch the Wind - Like the song, but he did much better. Wait for me - Don't know this one Longfellow Serenade - Although this song fit in very well with some of the other sappy love song kind of stuff in 1974, it wasn't that bad. Respect- Great song. Avalon - Not familiar with this Roxy Music song. Falling in Love is So Hard on The Knees - One of my least favorite songs by Aerosmith. 6221 - 6224 - Don't know them. Maybe Chuck's addictions were getting on everybody's nerves at the point the Dogs recorded this one.
