I'll be making a new post over on the main board about the trivia game later today, so be sure to check it out. THANKS! 6200. One Too Many Girlfriends-REO Speedwagon 1987 I think this was one of the later singles from the album, or at least one of the "featured cuts". By this time, the hits had dried up, and they were a shell of their former selves. 6199. Eminence Front-The Who 1982/83 Was there a day back then that MTV DIDN'T play this one? Weird singing it with Roger not singing and strumming guitar! Got sick of this over the years. 6198. Numb-U2 1993 This one was just annoying; so was the video. Too techno sounding for me. Or at least attempting to sound like it. 6197. Control-Janet Jackson 1986/87 A lot of her stuff sounds the same really. This was better than a lot of it though. 6196. I'm No Angel-Greg Allman 1987 I hated that classic rock stations were playing this when it was only a few years old, while ignoring TRUE classics. I never liked it much, but I guess it isn't that horrible. 6195. Shilo-Neil Diamond 1970 Is it a name? I just know it's a not too good song! 6194. Jonas Psalter-Styx 1974 Yet another song discovered on that budget tape. Not quite their signature sound. Not too bad though. 6193. Man Without a Dream-Monkees 1969 Another Davy "Broadway" sounding song. Most of his stuff was too corny for me to get into. 6192. The Boxer-Simon & Garfunkel 1969 Do they say those words in the song at all? Knew it for years without knowing the title. 6191. The Search is Over-Survivor 1985 Get the lighters out. Once Journey did Open Arms, all arena rockers needed ballads like that. This was Survivor's. 6190. Do You Remember?-Phil Collins 1990 Phil was really whimping out at this point. I'd even take One More Night over this one. 6189. Walk on By-Dionne Warwick 1964 A decent song by an artist I am not too big on. (She IS related to Whitney! ) 6188. Secret Lovers-Atlantic Starr 1985/86 I don't know how this got so high on the list. Not my style at all. 6187. They're Coming to Take Me Away, Ha Haaa!-Napoleon XIV 1966 Just reading an old post where Kat said this was about a dog. (Where are you these days Kat? ) But H2 disputed that. Haven't heard this many times in my life. 6186. Come and Get Your Love-Real McCoy 1994 An inferior cover, that is for sure. Not meant to be made into a dance tune. 6185. Heat of the Night-Bryan Adams 1987 (Previous Ranking 3767) Boy, after the HUGE success of Reckless, Bryan didn't follow it up very succesfully. This was sort of a "darker" album, it seems to me. 6184. Ticket to Ride-Carpenters 1970 Not a horrible cover, but they slowed it down TOO much for my tastes. 6183. Reach Out and Touch (Somebody's Hand)-Diana Ross 1970 Can't you just picture the Diva singing this like a martyr, with tears in her eyes? 6182. Love Will Never Do (Without You)-Janet Jackson 1990 Not quite as annoying as some of her other stuff. 6181. Highwire-Rolling Stones 1991 This was a new track on a live album. Not up to scratch, that's for sure. Let's hear it!

6200. One Too Many Girlfriends-REO Speedwagon 1987 Don't recall this one. I pretty much stopped liking this band after 1985. 6199. Eminence Front-The Who 1982/83 Not anywhere close to their best. 6198. Numb-U2 1993 I don't like anything off this album. 6197. Control-Janet Jackson 1986/87 I don't mind this one. 6196. I'm No Angel-Greg Allman 1987 Not a fan of the solo stuff. 6195. Shilo-Neil Diamond 1970 I think it is a name. Not one of my Neil faves. 6194. Jonas Psalter-Styx 1974 Yet another one that I don't remember by them. 6193. Man Without a Dream-Monkees 1969 ? 6192. The Boxer-Simon & Garfunkel 1969 Love this tune! And yes, the word "boxer" is mentioned. 6191. The Search is Over-Survivor 1985 Aaacck! make it stop 6190. Do You Remember?-Phil Collins 1990 Don't remember this one, at least by the title 6189. Walk on By-Dionne Warwick 1964 A great Bacharach tune. 6188. Secret Lovers-Atlantic Starr 1985/86 I'm just as shocked now as I was the first time seeing this song so high on your list. I like other tunes by this group better than this one. 6187. They're Coming to Take Me Away, Ha Haaa!-Napoleon XIV 1966 I think I've only heard this once. 6186. Come and Get Your Love-Real McCoy 1994 Oy. Why did they try to make this a dance tune? 6185. Heat of the Night-Bryan Adams 1987 (Previous Ranking 3767) Next... 6184. Ticket to Ride-Carpenters 1970 A little slow, but Karen's voice is sublime. 6183. Reach Out and Touch (Somebody's Hand)-Diana Ross 1970 LOL! Your description is so accurate. I've liked this song when other people have sang it. 6182. Love Will Never Do (Without You)-Janet Jackson 1990 Loved the video! Antonio Sabato Jr.......hubba hubba 6181. Highwire-Rolling Stones 1991 I really haven't liked any Rolling stone stuff since the mid-80s

6200. Doesn't sound familiar. I like a lot of their hits though. 6199. Never heard of it. 6198. Don't know it. 6197. Not one of her better ones, IMO. 6196. Don't know it. 6195. No!!!! No Neil Diamond!!! 6194. How do you even say that? 6193. Don't know it. 6192. Don't know it. 6191. Love those arena rocker ballads, but this one I don't know...I'm still pulling my lighter out though. 6190. Glad I don't know this song. 6189. Her best, I think. Very nice. 6188. Don't know it. 6187. This is by far the weirdest song title I have seen on your list thus far. 6186. This one's okay, I guess. 6185. Not familiar with it. 6184. Hmm...I've never heard this cover. 6183. I don't like this song. Never did. 6182. She's getting better already... 6181. I don't like the Stones. They scare me.

6200. One Too Many Girlfriends-REO Speedwagon 1987 IMy sister had this album. Didn't keep it long, though. I've never heard it.
6199. Eminence Front-The Who 1982/83 I've always liked this. Not as good as their classic stuff, but I'm not as hard on the Kenney Jones years as a lot of others are.
6198. Numb-U2 1993 I remember this song, and video. I never could understand what they were going for with that "Zooropa" album. Was it an "official" follow-up to Achtung, or was it a between-albums expirmental project? Edge sang lead on this, Johnny Cash sang lead on another song. Bono must've had a lot of time off...
6197. Control-Janet Jackson 1986/87 Never liked much of her stuff.
6196. I'm No Angel-Greg Allman 1987 I've heard OF this song a thousand times, but never actually HEARD it..
6195. Shilo-Neil Diamond 1970 Not bad, but nothing great..
6194. Jonas Psalter-Styx 1974 More early Styx I need to check out! Would you recommend RCA's "Best Of Styx" collection?
6193. Man Without a Dream-Monkees 1969 LOVE this! Great Goffin-King tune. Those later post-Peter Monkees albums had some VERY overlooked gems!
6192. The Boxer-Simon & Garfunkel 1969 Catchy..
6191. The Search is Over-Survivor 1985 Chick tune..
6190. Do You Remember?-Phil Collins 1990 Don't know it.
6189. Walk on By-Dionne Warwick 1964 Whitney or no Whitney, I like her 60's stuff! This is probably her best. Burt Bacharach is another great writing/producing genius.
6188. Secret Lovers-Atlantic Starr 1985/86 I only know and like "Circles" by this group.
6187. They're Coming to Take Me Away, Ha Haaa!-Napoleon XIV 1966 I like some of the obscure parodies of this that came out at the time. "I'm Normal" by The Emperor is one that comes to mind. If you think the NAPOLEAN record is totally insane, you should hear THIS!
6186. Come and Get Your Love-Real McCoy 1994 90's house/dance/techno whatever does NOTHING for me!
6185. Heat of the Night-Bryan Adams 1987 (Previous Ranking 3767) Never cared much for him.
6184. Ticket to Ride-Carpenters 1970 Never heard their version (at least I don't THINK I have) but I'd like to check it out.
6183. Reach Out and Touch (Somebody's Hand)-Diana Ross 1970 No, absolutely NOT!
6182. Love Will Never Do (Without You)-Janet Jackson 1990 See above Janet comment.
6181. Highwire-Rolling Stones 1991 I remember this live album, but never bought it.

6200. One Too Many Girlfriends-REO Speedwagon 1987 I don't think I've heard this - like Kitty, I stopped listening to them after '85.
6199. Eminence Front-The Who 1982/83 Great song - this and 'Who Are You' are my faves of theirs. Remember hearing it for the first time back in '83, on their concert that was shown on HBO.
6198. Numb-U2 1993 I can't place this, but in general I'm not big on their later material.
6197. Control-Janet Jackson 1986/87 Not her best - it's okay.
6196. I'm No Angel-Greg Allman 1987 I mistook Gregg for Bruce Springsteen when I first heard this. It's good, but overplayed here.
6195. Shilo-Neil Diamond 1970 Not bad, but not one of his best songs.
6194. Jonas Psalter-Styx 1974 I should try to find that album sometime!
6193. Man Without a Dream-Monkees 1969 Can't place it.
6192. The Boxer-Simon & Garfunkel 1969 Just heard this a couple of hours ago. I love how it builds up toward the end.
6191. The Search is Over-Survivor 1985 I like Survivor, but never warmed up to this one quite as much as, say, 'American Heartbeat' or 'Eye of the Tiger'.
6190. Do You Remember?-Phil Collins 1990 Nah - never really liked this much.
6189. Walk on By-Dionne Warwick 1964 One of my favorite Dionne songs. I love singing along with this - I actually sound pretty good!
6188. Secret Lovers-Atlantic Starr 1985/86 I like this more now than I did at the time. Nice, but not a favorite.
6187. They're Coming to Take Me Away, Ha Haaa!-Napoleon XIV 1966 Funny song! I don't hear this one too much either.
6186. Come and Get Your Love-Real McCoy 1994 I like this, but Redbone's version is the better of the two.
6185. Heat of the Night-Bryan Adams 1987 (Previous Ranking 3767) I've warmed up to this one a lot in recent years.
6184. Ticket to Ride-Carpenters 1970 Absolutely beautiful. Very different from the original, which I love as well.
6183. Reach Out and Touch (Somebody's Hand)-Diana Ross 1970 One of my lesser faves of Diana's.
6182. Love Will Never Do (Without You)-Janet Jackson 1990 Not familiar with this one.
6181. Highwire-Rolling Stones 1991 I haven't heard this one, but haven't been too impressed with their post-80s material.

One Two Many Girlfriends - Had pretty much stopped listening to REO by then, don't know it.
Eminence Front - Pretty good song from the Who
6196 - 6198 - Don't know them
Shilo - I like Neil Diamond's early music, and this is a favorite
6193 & 6194 - Don't know them
The Boxer - "In the clearing stands a boxer and a fighter by his trade" A favorite from S&G.
6190 & 6191 - Don't know them
Walk on By - Ok song from Dionne. Isn't she Whitney's Aunt or cousing or something.
Secret Lovers - Don't know it.
They're Coming to Take Me Away - A Dr. Demento favorite
6185 & 6186 - Don't know them
Ticket to Ride - Like this song, but I agree it was a little on the slow side.

I tried to answer earlier this afternoon but my internet connection went kaput! oh well let me try again. 6200 - The last hit I remember was One Lonely Night - I bought the 45 at the time. 6199 - Wow a video? - I don't remember ever seeing it although my classic rock station plays the song quite a bit. 6198 - They really lost me at this point - I didn't like any of it - yuck! 6197 - She never really did much for me. 6196 - This has always been a big fave - Cher also did a version. 6195 - Thought it was an odd choice for a name. but it brings back nice memories - I heard it quite often. 6194 - Never heard it but would like too. What's the title of the cassette Adam? 6193 - I really like quite a few of these later songs - this one is ok , but there are stronger songs. 6192 - Love the harmonies and thought the reverb on the snare drum always sounded cool. 6191 - I forgot just how much this was played on the radio back then. 6190 - I actually don't mind it. 6189 - Not a huge fan but I don't mind a few - this I think was her best 6188 - I know the name and probably heard it at the time - but it's not my thing. 6187 - Can't recall where I first heard this - a k-tel album maybe? I bought my original copy back in the 80's 6186 - I remember this cover - there is nothing like the original. 6185 - The first CD I ever bought. I had not listened to it for quite a while and played it a few weeks ago - yes the lyrics are somewhat darker in mood but I still really like the album. 6184 - They slowed this down way to much . It's one of my least favorite cover versions. 6183 - LMAO!! 6182 - eh 6181 - I really like this and bought the cassingle at the time.

[glow=red,2,300]6200. One Too Many Girlfriends-REO Speedwagon 1987 I haven't heard this one.

6196. I'm No Angel-Greg Allman 1987 Nor this one.

6193. Man Without a Dream-Monkees 1969 This song was kind of irritating.
6192. The Boxer-Simon & Garfunkel 1969 Another one of my favorites. The Boxer himself is mentioned in one of the verses.

One Too Many Girlfriends--This is one too many obscure songs by REO. I'm afraid I don't know it. Eminence Front--Never liked this much. There's just not much to it. Numb--Can't remember how the song goes, but the video is familiar. Aren't they tying the guy up, or wrapping tape around him or something? Been awhile since I've seen it. Control--It's ok I suppose. I'm No Angel--I always liked the line "I might steal your diamonds, but I'll bring you back some gold". Good song. Shilo--Isn't THIS song about a dog? "Shilo when I was young, I used to call your name. When no one else would come, Shilo you always came. And you'd stay." I remember the "Shilo" album cover. It was an outline of Neil's face, and you had to connect the dots to make his face complete. I always thought that was pretty cool. Jonas Psalter--Never heard of it. Sounds interesting though. Man Without a Dream--Don't know it. The Boxer--Love this one. And no, THIS one isn't about a dog. The Search is Over--Don't care for it. Do You Remember--Can't place it. Probably know it if I heard it. Walk On By--Don't mind this one. Don't like Ms. Warwick, though. Secret Lovers--Ick. They're Coming To Take Me Away--I had this 45. On the flip side was the same song, only backwards. Come and Get Your Love--Don't know if I ever heard this version or not. Heat of the Night--Don't like it much. Ticket to Ride--Big favorite of mine. Love this! Reach Out and Touch (Somebody's Hand)--Not bad. Diana's a little over the top with it though. Love Will Never Do (Without You)--I like this a lot. Highwire--No clue about this one.

6200. One Too Many Girlfriends-REO Speedwagon 1987 Not familiar with it. 6199. Eminence Front-The Who 1982/83 Don't know it. 6198. Numb-U2 1993 Oh for three. 6197. Control-Janet Jackson 1986/87 Unfortunately, the first one I'm familiar with on todays list -- I wish I wasn't. 6196. I'm No Angel-Greg Allman 1987 Heard it a few times, but never liked it much. 6195. Shilo-Neil Diamond 1970 The best today so far. Even though Neil was already drifting toward his M.O.R. club phase, this sounded like the old mid-60s Neil. Kinda folky. I've always liked it. 6194. Jonas Psalter-Styx 1974 Don't know it. 6193. Man Without a Dream-Monkees 1969 Title is familiar, but I don't redcall the song. 6192. The Boxer-Simon & Garfunkel 1969 Everyone has already mentioned to you that the word "Boxer" appears in the song, so I won't. -- Wait a minute. I just did! Pretty good song. A bit of trivia I heard about the song (don't know if its true) is that the echoey banging noise that you hear in the chorus (after the lai la lai) was made by slamming a door in an empty chruch. 6191. The Search is Over-Survivor 1985 One of those ballads that for some reason just happens to hit me in the right spot. (Never mind what spot) All time top 250! (Open Arms, incidentally, does nothing for me, and I'd never equate the two.) 6190. Do You Remember?-Phil Collins 1990 No, I don't. 6189. Walk on By-Dionne Warwick 1964 Just so-so. She's done much better. 6188. Secret Lovers-Atlantic Starr 1985/86 OK, not great. 6187. They're Coming to Take Me Away, Ha Haaa!-Napoleon XIV 1966 I always found it very funny. Of course, it offended many self-righteous people who live to get offended. As a result, many radio stations banned it. Thus, even though it quickly jumped up the charts to number 3, it fell rapidly, and was only in the top 40 for a total of 6 weeks. 6186. Come and Get Your Love-Real McCoy 1994 Only know the original 6185. Heat of the Night-Bryan Adams 1987 (Previous Ranking 3767) Not bad. 6184. Ticket to Ride-Carpenters 1970 This was the first Carpenters song I ever heard, and I didn't like it much. (I can think of very few people who covered a Beatles song, and outdid the Fab 4). The Carpenters improved rapidly thereafter, however. 6183. Reach Out and Touch (Somebody's Hand)-Diana Ross 1970 One of her better solos, IMO. 6182. Love Will Never Do (Without You)-Janet Jackson 1990 6181. Highwire-Rolling Stones 1991 Don't know this one.

6200-6198--Don't know. 6297. Vaguely remember. 6196. Heard of it, but never heard it. 6195. I think Shilo is supposed to be a childhood imaginary friend--"Daddy says he'd love to be with you/if he had the time/So you turn to the only friend you can find/there in your mind." 6194-6193. Don't know. 6192. Yes--in the last verse. 6191. Liked it at the time, but too sappy now. 6190. Don't know. 6189. Decent '60s pop. 6188. Don't know. 6187. I have the 45! And yes, the song is about a man going crazy because his dog runs away. 6186-6181. Don't know.

6198. I'm sure Bono was off somewhere being Holier than thou. 6194. I would recommend it just fro Lady and Best Thing, but otherwise, I think it only has 1 or 2 of the songs I have listed on here.

6181. I didn't even think much of the Steel Wheels stuff.
