Would everyone be ok with me just making the two teams for the trivia game? Do you trust me to do that? 6140. Pink-Aerosmith 1997 Yet another comeback song for Aerosmith. Not that bad, but not up to par with their classics. 6139. Time and Time Again-Monkees 1969/88 Another one originally unreleased, made available on the first Missing Links CD. Davy again, and just too dreary. 6138. Get a Job-Silhouettes 1958 A 50's classic, but just a bit too corny for me to listen to regularly. 6137. I Heard it Through the Grapevine-Gladys Knight & the Pips 1969 You mostly hear Marvin & CCR's versions these days, but this was the original. Still like the other 2 better. 6136. Do You Know, Do You Care-Phil Collins 1982 Album track from Phil's second. Lots of good album cuts on here, but this wasn't one of the better ones. 6135. Lady D'Arbanville-Cat Stevens 1970 (New addition) Ok, this is the first song appearing on this list that has been added since you last saw the INSANE list. I have the Very Best of Cat which is where I hear this. A bit too slow for me. 6134. Pleasure Dome-Van Halen 1991 One of the album cuts from the cleverly titled F.U.C.K. album. I liked OU812 better overall. 6133. Friendship Train-Gladys Knight & the Pips 1969 I first heard this on a TV special of theirs in the early 80's that my dad taped. Not their best. 6132. Diggin' On You-TLC 1995 (Previous ranking 4549) For this type of music, TLC wasn't the worst. But still, not my style overall. 6131. Hard Headed Woman-Cat Stevens 1970 (New addition) Again, first heard this on Very Best of. Remember seeing this at my uncles growing up and thinking it was weird that it was the same title as an Elvis song. 6130. Just a Gigolo/I Ain't Got Nobody-David Lee Roth 1985 The video was entertaining the first dozen times or so. But this was SUCH a drop from the songs he was doing the year before with VH. 6129. Gimmie Dat Ding-Pipkins 1970 Cute novelty, but not something to listen to over and over. 6128. Daydream Believer-Anne Murray 1979/80 Anne didn't do a bad job on it, but I have gotten sick of the song overall in recent years. 6127. Relax-Frankie Goes to Hollywood 1984/8 One of those typical "80's Weekend/Where are they now" songs I am SO sick of at this point. 6126. Another Tricky Day-Who 1981 Went through periods where I really liked this one, but in the final analysis, I don't think much of it. 6125. Wild Night-John Mellencamp 1994 Of all artists to get away with covering classics, Mellencamp is ok, but MY LORD VH-1 played the CRAP out of this song! 6124. Sexual Healing-Marvin Gaye 1982/83 His last big one, a comeback of sorts. Nice enough, just doesn't do much for me. 6123. Blue Moon-Marcels 1961 I am guessing this is the most familiar version? The song is cool over all, but kindof in the Get a Job category for me. 6122. Lady's Baby-Monkees 1967/88 Another originally unreleased that ended up on the first Links. Peter on vocals this time. Peter is my fave Monkee, but his stuff just wasn't up to scratch overall. 6121. I Can't Dance-Genesis 1991 Why oh WHY did they record this?? "I Can't Dance! I can't sing!" No, on this song you can't! Let's hear it!

6140. I've only heard this a couple of times, and it didn't make that big of impression. The video was pretty cool though.
6139. Don't know it.
6138. This one's okay, but corny, like you said.
6137. I've heard the Marvin version the most, but this one's not bad. I love Gladys Knight.
6136. Never heard this one.
6135. I'm not that familiar with Cat Stevens, and I don't know this one.
6134. Recognize the name, but I don't believe I've heard this one.
6133. Don't know it.
6132. Don't know it.
6131. See 6135.
6130. Not bad, but not up to snuff with his Van Halen stuff.
6129. ??
6128. I can only imagine what this would sound like... Have I mentioned I don't like Anne Murray?
6127. This was good the first eight billion times I heard it. It's gotten old by now.
6126 - 6125. Don't know 'em.
6124. Doesn't quite live up to Let's Get It On, does it?
6123. Eh. I could do without it.
6122. Don't know it.
6121. One of the few songs by them that I actually half-way like.

6140 - Thought it was quite good but like you mentioned nothing like the early material. 6139 - Not familiar. 6138 - Among my 50's faves. 6137 - I thought Gladys and the guys did a good job, but there's something about both CCR and Marvin's versions. 6136 - Know the hits only 6135 - I've heard of the title but have never heard the tune. 6134 - I'm not familiar with this album track but I do have the "hits" - Poundcake , On Top Of The World and Runaround (I also remember the video) etc on cassette. 6133 - Nope 6132 - 6131 - Have never heard it before , but I had a listen to it and it's very good . I really should invest in a CD comp because I do like quite a few of his songs and have a few of them on cassette. 6130 - I remember the video's for this and California Girls being played almost everyday. 6129 - It's not one I rush home to play either but I like listening to it once in a while. 6128 - I'm aware that she did a version of it but I don't think I've ever heard it ? I remember hearing her cover of You Won't See Me though. 6127 - At the time I too was sick of it very quickly. The new station here (they're about a year old now) play a real mix of music from the 70's and 80's - it's a VERY good station (no Pink Floyd every 5 minutes) anyway they play this every so often - it's ok in very very small doses. 6126 - I've always really enjoyed it. 6125 - Wasn't this played alot - Wow! I actually thoght he did a good job. 6124 - Thought itwas good but nothing like his 60's / 70's output. 6123 - My aunt really likes this one - It's good. 6122 - I know of it - i'm really suprised it wasn't included on the "Listen To" box - it's really not that good huh ? 6121 - I didn't mind it - I actually just heard it this morning.

6140. Pink-Aerosmith 1997 I'm not sure if I've heard this, but in general I'm not too fond of their more recent material.
6139. Time and Time Again-Monkees 1969/88 I've never heard this one.
6138. Get a Job-Silhouettes 1958 Okay to listen to once in a while, but not a fave.
6137. I Heard it Through the Grapevine-Gladys Knight & the Pips 1969 I like this, but it's one of my lesser Gladys faves.
6136. Do You Know, Do You Care-Phil Collins 1982 I bought the LP of Hello, I Must Be Going! a few years ago, but never listened to it all the way through. I need to check this one out.
6135. Lady D'Arbanville-Cat Stevens 1970 (New addition) Can't say I've heard this.
6134. Pleasure Dome-Van Halen 1991 I'm not big on their 90s material.
6133. Friendship Train-Gladys Knight & the Pips 1969 I hardly ever hear this one on oldies radio. Good, but I prefer her 70s hits.
6132. Diggin' On You-TLC 1995 (Previous ranking 4549) Not familiar.
6131. Hard Headed Woman-Cat Stevens 1970 (New addition) Not bad, but not great.
6130. Just a Gigolo/I Ain't Got Nobody-David Lee Roth 1985 I don't mind hearing this once in a while, but it's not much of a favorite.
6129. Gimmie Dat Ding-Pipkins 1970 I heard this for the first time in 1999. Catchy.
6128. Daydream Believer-Anne Murray 1979/80 I've always liked this one from Anne.
6127. Relax-Frankie Goes to Hollywood 1984/8 I like it, but agree that it's overplayed on those 80s shows.
6126. Another Tricky Day-Who 1981 I know I've probably heard this, but it's not coming to me.
6125. Wild Night-John Mellencamp 1994 Not that bad, but I heard this entirely too much back then (and I wasn't even following the current music that closely!)
6124. Sexual Healing-Marvin Gaye 1982/83 A good one from Marvin - nice jazzy quality to it.
6123. Blue Moon-Marcels 1961 Pleasant early pop.
6122. Lady's Baby-Monkees 1967/88 Another one I'm not familiar with. I should check out those Links collections sometime.
6121. I Can't Dance-Genesis 1991 Nope - never liked this much.

6140. Pink-Aerosmith 1997 Don't like this one much. Their late 90s-present stuff does nothing for me. 6139. Time and Time Again-Monkees 1969/88 Not familiar 6138. Get a Job-Silhouettes 1958 Very corny 6137. I Heard it Through the Grapevine-Gladys Knight & the Pips 1969 My favorite version actually. Marvin's is a close second. 6136. Do You Know, Do You Care-Phil Collins 1982 Don't remember this one at all, at least from the title 6135. Lady D'Arbanville-Cat Stevens 1970 Never heard this tune 6134. Pleasure Dome-Van Halen 1991 Not my cup o tea 6133. Friendship Train-Gladys Knight & the Pips 1969 Not their best but still good 6132. Diggin' On You-TLC 1995 (Previous ranking 4549) Not one of my faves from them 6131. Hard Headed Woman-Cat Stevens 1970 (New addition) I don't know if I've heard this one 6130. Just a Gigolo/I Ain't Got Nobody-David Lee Roth 1985 I am SO over this one 6129. Gimmie Dat Ding-Pipkins 1970 I don't think I've heard this in 20 years or more 6128. Daydream Believer-Anne Murray 1979/80 I like the Monkees' version better. Anne's is too slow in parts or something 6127. Relax-Frankie Goes to Hollywood 1984/8 Loved it then, hate it now. 6126. Another Tricky Day-Who 1981 Doesn't do anything for me 6125. Wild Night-John Mellencamp 1994 A good cover of Van Morrison. Love Me'shell Ndege Ocello on this with him 6124. Sexual Healing-Marvin Gaye 1982/83 A little overplayed but a good one. A little dated. 6123. Blue Moon-Marcels 1961 Is it the most familiar? I wouldn't know. It's a song that's very definitive of the era. 6122. Lady's Baby-Monkees 1967/88 6121. I Can't Dance-Genesis 1991 Hate this one

6140. Pink-Aerosmith 1997 Not bad; recently burned it.
6139. Time and Time Again-Monkees 1969/88 I'll look it up.
6138. Get a Job-Silhouettes 1958 Pretty good, but Bandstand was the reason this song was huge.
6137. I Heard it Through the Grapevine-Gladys Knight & the Pips 1967 Best version of all.
6136. Do You Know, Do You Care-Phil Collins 1982 Pretty good.
6135. Lady D'Arbanville-Cat Stevens 1970 (New addition) Yes!
6134. Pleasure Dome-Van Halen 1991 Nowhere near as good as "Top of the World".
6133. Friendship Train-Gladys Knight & the Pips 1969 Great. but not quite in my top 5 Gladys tunes.
6132. Diggin' On You-TLC 1995 (Previous ranking 4549) That "chillin' with my cooley" song! Reasonably good, but doesn't notch up to "Waterfalls".
6131. Hard Headed Woman-Cat Stevens 1970 (New addition) Long live Cat!
6130. Just a Gigolo/I Ain't Got Nobody-David Lee Roth 1985 LOVE the longer ending! Loop de loop!
6129. Gimmie Dat Ding-Pipkins 1970 Same thoughts. Top 8000, but not top 4000 for me.
6128. Daydream Believer-Anne Murray 1979/80 Outstanding remake. One of my 5 faves of hers.
6127. Relax-Frankie Goes to Hollywood 1984/85 I think those 30-something girls could still get a clue. That said, this isn't real bad--will listen to in moderation.
6126. Another Tricky Day-Who 1981 Ever since watching my brother's MTV, I've always loved this. Should've been a hit.
6125. Wild Night-John Mellencamp 1994 Not a huge fave in recent years, but still one of my overall fave John tunes. A better guilty pleasure than critical fave. Me'Shell N-n-uh...(you try to say it) did a decent job on harmony!
6124. Sexual Healing-Marvin Gaye 1982/83 This song was just so immense in my 7th grade years. Still holds up well today.
6123. Blue Moon-Marcels 1961 My parents would rather listen to a slower 30's version. For rock and roll fans who lived the era, this was a breath of fresh air. A masterpiece.
6122. Lady's Baby-Monkees 1967/88 See 6139.
6121. I Can't Dance-Genesis 1991 Always thought this was among Genesis' more unusual efforts, but I've always loved this. See the video once, and YOU CAN'T forget those "robotic" moves!

Pink - Although I try to like most of what Aerosmith does, I just couldn't on this one
Time & Time Again - Don't know it
Get a Job - a 50s classic, fun song.
I Heard it Through the Grapevine - Marvin's is the classic, CCR's was just plain bad, and this one is somewhere in between.
Do You Know, Do You Care - No I don't know.
Lady D'abanville - Just wasn't my style of Cat Stevens music. BTW, I got a Very best of Cat Stevens of vinyl.
Pleasure Dome - Don't know it
Friendship Train - Better than "Grapevine", but still not one of their best.
Diggin' on You - Don't Know it
Hard Headed Woman - This was actually a pretty good song.
Just a Gigolo - His solo career should have stopped after California Girls. Got this on vinyl as well, can't remember why I bought it.
Gimme Dat Ding - Kind of a fun song in 1970, not sure I'd listen to it now.
Daydream Believer - Good song from Anne.
Relax - It's okay.
Another Tricky Day - Okay song from the Who
Wild Night - don't remember this cover.
Sexual Healing - Kind of like Marvin's 60s & 70s stuff better, but this one is okay
Blue Moon - Another 50s classic. Good song.
Lady's Baby - Don't know it.
I Can't Dance - Don't Know it.

6140. Pink-Aerosmith 1997 Didn't like this. Sounded like they weer starting to scrape the bottom of the barrel for songs.
6139. Time and Time Again-Monkees 1969/88 Have to pull out the CD.
6138. Get a Job-Silhouettes 1958 Sung this one to my sister all summer, LOL!
6137. I Heard it Through the Grapevine-Gladys Knight & the Pips 1969 The best version, easily. Marvins is good, but I'm sick of it. Plus, I think the California Raisins ruined it for me. As for CCR, well, there's 11 minutes of my life I'll never get back...
6136. Do You Know, Do You Care-Phil Collins 1982 Don't know this. I was never big on him..
6135. Lady D'Arbanville-Cat Stevens 1970 (New addition) I need to pick up the Very Best Of, or maybe even the Box Set.
6134. Pleasure Dome-Van Halen 1991 Don't know it.
6133. Friendship Train-Gladys Knight & the Pips 1969 I like this one a LOT!
6132. Diggin' On You-TLC 1995 (Previous ranking 4549) Don't know it.
6131. Hard Headed Woman-Cat Stevens 1970 (New addition) Not one of my favorites by him.
6130. Just a Gigolo/I Ain't Got Nobody-David Lee Roth 1985 Liked it then, not sure about now.
6129. Gimmie Dat Ding-Pipkins 1970 Silly..
6128. Daydream Believer-Anne Murray 1979/80 I remember this being a pretty big hit at the time, I think I knew this before I knew the Monkees version.
6127. Relax-Frankie Goes to Hollywood 1984/5 Great fun in the spring of '85!
6126. Another Tricky Day-Who 1981 Just gotta get used to it.....
6125. Wild Night-John Mellencamp 1994 Never cared for this song, either version.
6124. Sexual Healing-Marvin Gaye 1982/83 This one is a classic! Someone did a reggae remake in the 90's that wasn't half bad.. But not as good as the original!
6123. Blue Moon-Marcels 1961 Liked it the first 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 times I heard it.. I saw a group called The Marcels opening for the Four Tops a few years ago. I don't think they were the same group, because they didn't even do this! If they weren't the same group, they shouldn't have called themselves the Marcels! That's false advertising!
6122. Lady's Baby-Monkees 1967/88 Don't like it. Not one of Peter's best songs.
6121. I Can't Dance-Genesis 1991 I hated it in '92, and it still hasn't grown on me.

[glow=red,2,300]6140. Pink-Aerosmith 1997 I don't really care for this song that much, but I have never been too wild about Aerosmith either.
6139. Time and Time Again-Monkees 1969/88 I haven't heard this song.
6138. Get a Job-Silhouettes 1958 Yes, I agree...it is pretty corny.
6137. I Heard it Through the Grapevine-Gladys Knight & the Pips 1969 This song is all right, but I like Marvin's version better.
6136. Do You Know, Do You Care-Phil Collins 1982 This song is all right, I guess...not one of my favorites but I don't mind it that much.
6135. Lady D'Arbanville-Cat Stevens 1970 (New addition) I haven't heard this song.
6134. Pleasure Dome-Van Halen 1991 Nor this one.
6133. Friendship Train-Gladys Knight & the Pips 1969 This song is all right.
6132. Diggin' On You-TLC 1995 (Previous ranking 4549) I haven't heard this song...I was never a big fan of theirs though.
6131. Hard Headed Woman-Cat Stevens 1970 (New addition) I haven't heard this song.
6130. Just a Gigolo/I Ain't Got Nobody-David Lee Roth 1985 This song irritated me a bit. I haven't seen the video though.
6129. Gimmie Dat Ding-Pipkins 1970 This song is annoying.
6128. Daydream Believer-Anne Murray 1979/80 I don't really care that much for her version of the song.
6127. Relax-Frankie Goes to Hollywood 1984/8 I haven't heard this song.
6126. Another Tricky Day-Who 1981 Nor this one.
6125. Wild Night-John Mellencamp 1994 Nor this one.
6124. Sexual Healing-Marvin Gaye 1982/83 This song is all right every once in a while.
6123. Blue Moon-Marcels 1961 This song is also all right every once in a while.
6122. Lady's Baby-Monkees 1967/88 I haven't heard this one.
6121. I Can't Dance-Genesis 1991 This song is pretty irritating too. [/glow]

Pink--Forgettable. Not one of their best. Time and Time Again--Time and time again I keep running into Monkees songs I don't know. This is one of 'em. Get a Job--It's ok for what it is. 50's music isn't really my style. I Heard it Through the Grapevine--Never liked the song much no matter who sang it. Do You Know Do You Care--I don't know it, and I don't care to. Lady D'Arbanville--Written for the actress Patti D'Arbanville, was it not? Only heard it a couple of times. Pleasure Dome--Doesn't sound familiar. Friendship Train--I haven't heard this in years, but it's an ok song. Diggin' On You--Musta missed this one. Hard Headed Woman--Not ringing any bells. Just a Gigolo...--Nuthin' special. Gimme Dat Ding--Loved this when I was a kid. Don't really know how I feel about it these days. ;D Daydream Believer--Nice version by Anne. She was in concert here last night. I didn't go see her though. Isn't she kinda washed up to be charging $45.00--$55.00 a ticket? Relax--Way tired of it. Another Tricky Day--Not too bad. I enjoy singing along to it. Wild Night--Just bought this cd single at thrift store the other day for a buck. I figured, why not? Sexual Healing--Not a big Marvin Gaye fan. Blue Moon--Pretty good. Nice sing along type song. Lady's Baby--Never heard of it. I Can't Dance--I didn't mind this one.

I really recommend the Very Best of that came out a few years back (black cover, Cat is sortof profile on the cover). 20 tracks, almost every one is a winner. 6128. My dad has that single. 6122. Nah, not that great.

6125. Wild Night-John Mellencamp 1994 Not that bad, but I heard this entirely too much back then (and I wasn't even following the current music that closely!) 6124. 6122. They really are great!

I Can't Dance-Genesis 1991 Hate this one 6123. I think I am most familiar with the version by "Johnny Casino and the Gamblers"! (Grease)
