Ok, trivia starts today. I will be asking the question for my team. Other team, decide who will answer! Also, decide who will ask a question for your team. My question will be up later this afternoon. THANKS!
6100. Hip to Be Square-Huey Lewis & the News 1986 SUCH a nerdy song. I appreciate it was an anti-drug song, but they could have approached it in a less dorky way. Even more dorky, my dad liked the song.
6099. When Love Comes Knockin' at Your Door-Monkees 1967 One of the few cuts from their second album that DIDN'T make the first box set. That was such a great album though, and this Davy cut just doesn't measure up.
6098. Rag Doll-Aerosmith 1988 HATE this song with a passion. In fact, I don't know why I ranked it higher than Pink. It's like something that came out of the 30's, and I always do a Charleston type dance to make fun of it.
6097. King of Wishful Thinking-Go West 1990 This is sort of a bad-era Chicago song. But, it's not horrible.
6096. Everything You Want-Vertical Horizon 2000 (Previous ranking 4769) My liked this one a lot, but never got the disc. Are they an official one hit wonder?
6095. Man on a Mission-Van Halen 1991 Man, the Van Hagar album cuts just did NOT match up to the original album cuts (which were better than the singles, IMO).
6094. Tea For One-Led Zeppelin 1976 Zep had a blues cut on every album, even if it was a cheesy one. This wasn't cheesy, but just sortof....generic. My least fave on an otherwise overlooked album.
6093. Radio Station Jingles-Beach Boys 1964-93 Not an actual song, this is exactly what it says, and was included on the Box Set. Their harmonies are so wonderful though, thus it getting such a ranking.
6092. I Want You-Madonna 1995 This was Madonna's contribution to the Marvin Gaye tribute album, and one of about 30 different I Want You's on my list!
6091. Splish Splash-Bobby Darin 1958 A legendary piece, but overplayed.
6090. Money For Nothing-Dire Straits 1985 If I hear Sting sing "I Want My MTV" one more time, I'm gonna pull my hair out. Song and video WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY overplayed. Sorry I ever bought the single.
6089. Fire (Live)-Bruce Springsteen 1987 The timeless rock station played this the other day actually. Hadn't heard it since back when the box came out.
6088. Your Life is Now-John Mellencamp 1998 Wasn't this the self titled album from his first album with a new label? Thought it was ok, but not up to his old par.
6087. R.O.C.K. in the U.S.A.-John Mellencamp 1986 Never thought that much of this song, and the spelling thing REALLY annoyed me.
6086. House of Fun-Madness 1982* Not sure about that year, it's a guess. If someone knows, correct me. Neat song.
6085. Cayenne-Beatles 1960/95 Without having the Anthology disc in front of me, I believe this was the one song credited to McCartney/Harrison.
6084. KOMA-Beach Boys 1966/93 Another radio station jingle, only as long as it takes to say those letters.
6083. Brand New Love Affair (Part I & II)-Chicago 1975 This is when Chicago was starting to become more Adult Contemporary. One of the few Kath songs I didn't dig too much.
6082. That's Where the Happy People Go-Trammps 1976 Not quite the legendary piece that Disco Inferno was, was it? Still not bad.
6081. If I Were Your Woman-Gladys Knight & the Pips 1970/71 Not too bad, but I was never big on them.
Let's hear it!

6100. I don't recall ever hearing this, but no matter how bad it may be, you've gotta give 'em a shout for the subject matter.
6099. Hmm...sounds good. Don't know it.
6098. Sounds like it came out of the '30s? I might like it then!
6097. I always liked this song.
6096. Loved this song, but I don't hear it much any more. And no, they're not a one-hit wonder. They did have another single that did pretty well, I think.
6095. Don't know it.
6094. Never heard this one before either.
6093. I'd like to hear this sometime. Were these done before they hit it big?
6092. Huh, never heard this before. Madonna doing Marvin Gaye has GOT to be interesting.
6091. Like it, but my cousin wants to listen to this song seriously like twenty times in a row, so it's a little old by now...
6090. I agree. Way overplayed. Not a bad song though.
6089. Never heard it.
6088. Not bad, not great.
6087. This one's okay.
6086. Don't know it.
6085. Not familiar with this song.
6084. See my comments on 6093.
6083. Don't know it.
6082. Never heard this one before, but I like Disco Inferno. I actually think that's the only Trammp song I know.
6081. I really like Gladys Knight. I've never heard this song though.

I think you have the year correct, except it may be 1981. 6085. Cayenne-Beatles 1960/95 Never heard of this one 6084. KOMA-Beach Boys 1966/93 ? 6083. Hip to Be Square--I've heard this enough to last a lifetime. When Love Comes Knockin' At Your Door--Yet another Monkees song I don't know. Rag Doll--Not bad. I kinda like it. King of Wishful Thinking--Nice song to sing along to. Everything You Want--I hear this quite often on one of our local radio stations. It's a pretty good song. Man on A Mission--Don't think I know it. Tea for One--Don't think I know it. Radio Station Jingles-- I Want You--Probably never heard this one. Splish Splash--Good one. My 13 year old niece played this with her varsity band in a school concert just a few weeks ago. For a junior high school band, they sounded pretty good. LOL! Money for Nothing--I gotta admit, I still like hearing this when it comes on the radio. Fire--Like the Pointer Sisters version better. Your Life is Now--I guess it's all right, but not one of my Mellencamp faves. R.O.C.K. in the USA--What is it with you and songs that spell out words? ;D I love this song. Always have. Never get tired of it. House of Fun--Sounds familiar, can't place it though. Cayenne--Never heard of it. KOMA--Love it. An all time favorite! NOT!!! Brand New Love Affair--Don't know it. That's Where The Happy People Go--Don't know it. If I Were Your Woman--Like this one a lot. Showcases what a great voice Gladys has.

6100. Hip to Be Square-Huey Lewis & the News 1986 Not just an anti-drug song. A stab at the ultra trendy times it was written in. He sang this at his show last year, but changed the lyrics to "Too Hip To Be Square".
6099. When Love Comes Knockin' at Your Door-Monkees 1967 Eh - way too sappy. "When love comes knockin' at your door, just open up and let it in. It's gonna be a (gagging) magic carpet ride, so little girl (gagging) now don't you run and hide" AHHHHH!
6098. Rag Doll-Aerosmith 1988 So very sick of this one. Actually, the only song EVER that these guys did that I liked was Jaded, and I'm sick of it too.
6097. King of Wishful Thinking-Go West 1990 No thanks.
6096. Everything You Want-Vertical Horizon 2000 (Previous ranking 4769) Not familiar.
6095. Man on a Mission-Van Halen 1991 Not familiar.
6094. Tea For One-Led Zeppelin 1976 Not familiar.
6093. Radio Station Jingles-Beach Boys 1964-93 Not familiar.
6092. I Want You-Madonna 1995 No thanks!
6091. Splish Splash-Bobby Darin 1958 Pass.
6090. Money For Nothing-Dire Straits 1985 Much prefer "Money For Nothing/The Beverly Hillbillies" by Al. Great fun on UHF.
6089. Fire (Live)-Bruce Springsteen 1987 Not too bad.
6088. Your Life is Now-John Mellencamp 1998 No thanks.
6087. R.O.C.K. in the U.S.A.-John Mellencamp 1986 Very annoying.
6086. House of Fun-Madness 1982* I like the song and the video but the song is a bit odd in it's lyrics.
6085. Cayenne-Beatles 1960/95 Not familiar.
6084. KOMA-Beach Boys 1966/93 Not familiar.
6083. Brand New Love Affair (Part I & II)-Chicago 1975 Eh.
6082. That's Where the Happy People Go-Trammps 1976 Not familiar.
6081. If I Were Your Woman-Gladys Knight & the Pips 1970/71 Love this one - great to listen too (and I did) if you were on the end of unrequited love............ **Sigh**

6093. Radio Station Jingles-Beach Boys 1964-93 Not an actual song, this is exactly what it says, and was included on the Box Set. Their harmonies are so wonderful though, thus it getting such a ranking. I've never heard that, but it sounds like it would be fun to hear! It was certainly a neat thing to include on the box set. Basically in studio promos for the station.
