If you make a post and no one reads it, does it make a sound? LMAO!!!
6040. Transister Sister-Freddy "Boom Boom" Cannon 1961
Freddie was the king of songs with clever titles like this. This was my least fave though.
6039. High Hopes-Pink Floyd 1994
From what I consider one of the best later career albums of all time. Better than any stuff the Stones had put out since the early 80's.
6038. Colours-Donovan 1965
Love the greatest hits album on the whole, but this is one of my lesser faves.
6037. Three Times a Lady-Commodores 1978
Remember "Buckwheat" singing this on SNL? LOL! Like the Commodores a lot, but again, my least fave.
6036. The Other Woman-Ray Parker Jr. 1982
Ok Ken, here is the song you like better! "Think I'll pick up my gui-tar, and play it all night long!"
6035. Rip This Joint-Rolling Stones 1972
I know this is a "roots rock" type song, but it always annoyed me. Like other stuff on Exile MUCH better.
6034. Jungleland-Bruce Springsteen 1975
Again, I respect his storytelling songwriting style, but these songs were just too long.
6033. What Do You Want From Me-Pink Floyd 1994
Another from the same Division Bell album. If you like their older stuff, especially if you liked their 87 release, check this out!
6032. River of Dreams-Billy Joel 1996
At the time, this song was a big deal, sort of a comeback. These days, I just dismiss it.
6031. Ain't Too Proud to Beg-Temptations 1966
Another one of those songs that people with limited amounts of rock knowledge get up and dance to at weddings because "Oh they used this in the Big Chill!!"
6030. Hey Hey My My-Neil Young 1979
This is the grungy version. I think the year might be wrong though, as the radio plays a live version which is probably later. Liked this a lot for a while, they got burnt on it.
6029. Late in the Evening-Paul Simon 1980
Like so many of his songs, this one is just "there" for me.
6028. Ain't No Woman (Like the One I've Got)-Four Tops 1973
The Tops were still crankin' hits in the early 70's. They avoided the politically charged stuff the Temps got into and waited til this style came back with the O'Jays and the Spinners.
6027. Infatuation-Rod Stewart 1984
Rod as a peeping Tom. And hey, Jeff Beck sneaks in the video! Better than his later, more adult contemporary stuff.
6026. 12 Bar Original-Beatles 1965/96
From the Rubber Soul sessions, a rare instrumental from the Beatles that popped up on Anthology II.
6025. Slip of the Lip-Ratt 1986
Ratt was usually good for one or two good singles per album. Then sub-par stuff like this.
6024. Love Train-O'Jays 1973
See, you can picture this getting played right after the Tops' song! A little tired after hearing this 6 trillion times though.
6023. Just My Imagination (Running Away With Me)-Rolling Stones 1978
Doesn't get the play on radio that their other Temps cover gets. They made this one too fast.
6022. Knockin' on Heaven's Door-Guns-n-Roses 1991
Two covers in a row. Was it me, or did MTV play the CRAP out of this one? And Axl made the song dragggggggggggggggggggg.
6021. Her Majesty-Beatles 1969
A song that wasn't listed on the original album. Would this be considered a bonus track??
Have at it!
