OOOO, that's scary, isn't it kids?
Right after this, I will be posting a list of Halloween songs, be sure to check it out and add yours!
6020. Happy Trails-Van Halen 1982 Yesterday we ended with a short novelty number from the Beatles, now here is one from VH. Somewhere there is a video of me and my buddies doing this. My luck it'll end up on ebay.
6019. Four Little Diamonds-E.L.O. 1983 Never knew this til the box set. Their 80's singles were good, but for album cuts, go back to the mid 70's stuff.
6018. Live and Let Die-Guns-n-Roses 1991 And here is the other songs G-N-R ruined, er, covered. I think Axl thought it was "cool" that the song had the word "die" in the title.
6017. When I'm With You-Sheriff 1983/88/89 I guess this was originally from 83, but put out at the end of 88, thus the 3 dates. I wasn't into this style music, so I first heard this on a compilation commercial years later.
6016. Tequila Sunrise-Eagles 1973 Their other early slowy. Just didn't get into it.
6015. Just My Imagination (Running Away With Me)-Temptations 1971 The fact that this is so close to the Stones cover was pure coincidence. I'm just not that big on this song overall.
6014. More Than Words Can Say-Alias 1990 See Sheriff. Same type of crap to me.
6013. Name Game-Shirley Ellis 1964/65 Nothing actually wrong with it, just corny.
6012. Muscles-Diana Ross 1982 The diva supreme strikes again. Don't worry, there shouldn't be too many more.
6011. Money Changes Everything-Cyndi Lauper 1984/85 I think the single release was actually live on the A side, studio on the flip? I believe? What a psycho she was in the video!
6010. I'm So Excited-Pointer Sisters 1982/84 I'm So Sick of This! Released twice, I believe. Used in too many commercials/shows. Remember Jesse singing it on Saved by the Bell? No? You're better off.
6009. Theme From the Monkees-Monkees 1966 If this were 1979, this would have been high. But this song is nothing to me.
6008. A Taste of Honey-Beatles 1963 There was some poll taken once of Beatles fans as to what their worst song was, and aside from Revolution 9, Mr. Moonlight "won". I think this is WAY worse than that one.
6007. Power-Cher 1998 Yes, my wife has the CD and yes, I got to learn many of the songs. Now shut up.
6006. Hurt So Bad-Linda Ronstadt 1980 Linda's got a good voice, just not that big on the song itself.
6005. Then Was Then But This is Now-ABC 1984 I believe they ended up using this in the S.E. Hinton movie of (almost) the same name. Could be wrong though.
6004. Neither One of Us-Gladys Knight & the Pips 1973 For a long time, I thought Johnny Mathias sang this with her, because they dueted on some special she had on TV.
6003. Always-Atlantic Starr 1987 Did this end up being a big prom theme that year? If so, I am sorry to all who went.
6002. Everybody Have Fun Tonight-Wang Chung 1986 If everybody is gonna Wang Chung tonight, things could get messy. Irritating video.
6001. The End of the Innocence-Don Henley 1989 It certainly was different from all the teeny bopper and hair bands of the time. But over time, it got too boring for me.
Have at it, Ghouls!

Wow! Nobody else has responded yet! I'm surprised. I'm on late again today. 6020. Happy trails to you...*whistle* I'm assuming it's not the same song. 6019. Never even heard of it. 6018. Not familiar with it. 6017. You said you're not into this style of music. What style does this song follow? 6016. Don't know it. 6015. Not bad at all...but Bette covered it, so I guess you know which version I like better. ;D 6014. Hmm...okay, I might know this one. I like it. 6013. Don't know it. 6012. Ick. I don't even know the song. I'm just guessing that it's terrible. 6011. Never heard the song or seen the video. 6010. Hey! I loved the ep of Saved By the Bell where Jessie, Lisa, and Kelly performed this song. One of the show's best! Oh, and as far as the song goes, it's pretty good, but gets annoying after a while. 6009. Woo-hoo! Such a fun song! 6008. Don't know it. 6007. Isn't this one called THE Power? I can't remember. I have the CD too, and I really like it. For some reason, I like this song too. So sue me. 6006. Don't believe I've heard this one, but she does have a great voice. 6005. Not familiar with it. 6004. Don't know it. 6003. Sounds familiar, but I can't place it. 6002. Irritating video? Maybe. Irritating song? After a while, yeah. 6001. One of my faves from him.

6020. Happy Trails-Van Halen 1982 ("Bomb-ba-dee-duh, bomb-ba-dee-duh", You know, I'm ALMOST tempted to pick up Diver Down on CD. I haven't heard it in YEARS!) 6019. Four Little Diamonds-E.L.O. 1983 (I never owned this album, but I thought they were pretty much done by then). 6018. Live and Let Die-Guns-n-Roses 1991 (Give me Paul any day). 6017. When I'm With You-Sheriff 1983/88/89 (I don't remember this, but I didn't care about top 40 music in '89. I never heard it in '83, either). 6016. Tequila Sunrise-Eagles 1973 (I like it a LOT better than Desperado). 6015. Just My Imagination (Running Away With Me)-Temptations 1971 (Last REALLY great Temptations recording. Sounded like it should have came out earlier, like '68). 6014. More Than Words Can Say-Alias 1990 (Never heard this). 6013. Name Game-Shirley Ellis 1964/65 (Silly record, but better than her other two hits). 6012. Muscles-Diana Ross 1982 (This one wasn't TOO bad, considering who wrote it and who recorded it). 6011. Money Changes Everything-Cyndi Lauper 1984/85 (I always liked this. The live version was on the flip.) 6010. I'm So Excited-Pointer Sisters 1982/84 (Sick of it.) 6009. Theme From the Monkees-Monkees 1966 (Sadly, THIS is the song they are probably most associated with. I never thought much of it either, considering the wealth of GREAT material they did!) 6008. A Taste of Honey-Beatles 1963 (Not bad for an early recording they didn't write). 6007. Power-Cher 1998 (I've NEVER heard this song in my life). 6006. Hurt So Bad-Linda Ronstadt 1980 (Decent cover). 6005. Then Was Then But This is Now-ABC 1984 (I don't know this, I'll have to check my ABC collection). 6004. Neither One of Us-Gladys Knight & the Pips 1973 (They could do no wrong. Period). 6003. Always-Atlantic Starr 1987 ( ) 6002. Everybody Have Fun Tonight-Wang Chung 1986 ( The single most CHEESY record of the 1980's. What is "Wang Chung"-ing, anyway?) 6001. The End of the Innocence-Don Henley 1989 (Wasn't that impressed with that album).

It's been a busy day - alright here we go:) 6020 - LOL:) I thought they did a great job - cool to listen to . 6019 - I like the intro where Jeff counts it in - I always enjoyed it. 6018 - As I mentioned yesterday - If I was Paul I would have sued - Yikes - just bad. 6017 - I thought it was very good - and he holds that last note forever! It was awhile before I realized who the band was but I do remember hearing it both in '83 and of course in '88 - by that point two of the guys were in a new band called Frozen Ghost. I remember they were doing promotion for the new record and all the interviewer would want to discuss was the reissue of When I'm With you. 6016 - I thought because of who was in the band that they would have had more success. I only remember the one song. 6015 - Nice. 6014 - I remember hearing this alot there for awhile on the oldies stations here. Still a big fave. 6013 - I don't hear as much as I use to but it's still a fun tune. 6012 - Don't remember it. 6011 - Oh was it ? interesting - I thought it was quite a good song( I downloaded it not that long ago . It seems to have been forgotten now it seems. 6010 - I remember that when she sang it - talk about spooky LOL! I grew tired of it somewhat at the time . but it's alright every so often. 6009 - But Adam it's so catchy! 6008 - I can't help it, I like it . Nice brush work from Ringo. 6007 - LOL! 6006 - I quite enjoyed it 6005 - I don't recall this. 6004 - Ditto 6003 - Ugh! 6002 - Yes after awhile that video drove me nuts! 6001 - Still love it.

Happy Halloween! 6020. Happy Trails-Van Halen 1982 I would pay good money to see that video. 6019. Four Little Diamonds-E.L.O. 1983 I didn't know this one until recently either. 6018. Live and Let Die-Guns-n-Roses 1991 Paul should have slapped him 6017. When I'm With You-Sheriff 1983/88/89 I'm sure I know the song, just don't know the title 6016. Tequila Sunrise-Eagles 1973 They had better 6015. Just My Imagination (Running Away With Me)-Temptations 1971 I really like this one a lot 6014. More Than Words Can Say-Alias 1990 Don't know this one 6013. Name Game-Shirley Ellis 1964/65 Yuck. Just too cheesy. 6012. Muscles-Diana Ross 1982 This is one of the lamest songs of the 80s 6011. Money Changes Everything-Cyndi Lauper 1984/85 I haven't thisone in years 6010. I'm So Excited-Pointer Sisters 1982/84 I'm So Sick of This Too! LOL about the Saved by The Bell thing 6009. Theme From the Monkees-Monkees 1966 Everybody knows this one...nobody cares 6008. A Taste of Honey-Beatles 1963 I totally have no clue about this one 6007. Power-Cher 1998 heh heh *shakes head** 6006. Hurt So Bad-Linda Ronstadt 1980 While her voice is always beatiful, this song is too whiny. 6005. Then Was Then But This is Now-ABC 1984 You are correct about the movie. I like this one and you never hear it. 6004. Neither One of Us-Gladys Knight & the Pips 1973 Love it! 6003. Always-Atlantic Starr 1987 I'll accept that apology 6002. Everybody Have Fun Tonight-Wang Chung 1986 They had better songs. 6001. The End of the Innocence-Don Henley 1989 Not a bad solo tune but not my fave from him

:9: Happy Halloween, whatever that is... ;D
6020. Happy Trails-Van Halen 1982 This is way cool. I prefer this to Roy and Dale's original.
6019. Four Little Diamonds-E.L.O. 1983 Pretty good.
6018. Live and Let Die-Guns-n-Roses 1991 Except for Axl's vocals, surprisingly faithful to Paul's original. Call me a kook, but a worthy cover; one of my fave GnR tunes ever.
6017. When I'm With You-Sheriff 1983/88/89 Didn't think much of it in '83, got overplayed in early '89, now it's REALLY grown on me.
6016. Tequila Sunrise-Eagles 1973 Moderate.
6015. Just My Imagination (Running Away With Me)-Temptations 1971 Not great, not bad.
6014. More Than Words Can Say-Alias 1990 A worthy "follow-up" to "When I'm with you". Quite similar to each other.
6013. Name Game-Shirley Ellis 1964/65 A fave since toddler days. Any "Chuck"'s out there? ;D
6012. Muscles-Diana Ross 1982 One of the true "lost 80's" tunes. Has always been one of my fave Diana tunes.
6011. Money Changes Everything-Cyndi Lauper 1984/85 Since hearing this in the spring '84, one of my all-time faves of Cyndi's. Upset it didn't reach top 20.
6010. I'm So Excited-Pointer Sisters 1982/84 Not their biggest, but their most well-known. Fun party tune.
6009. Theme From the Monkees-Monkees 1966 Now the party can go on!!! ;D
6008. A Taste of Honey-Beatles 1963 Pretty good, but give me Herb Alpert. ;D
6007. Power-Cher 1998 I have the CD, but hardly play this.
6006. Hurt So Bad-Linda Ronstadt 1980 My fave of the hit versions. One of Linda's best.
6005. Then Was Then But This is Now-ABC 1984 Not the comeback Monkees tune. And not as good.
6004. Neither One of Us-Gladys Knight & the Pips 1973 This song seemed ahead of its time. Fairly similar instrumentation to a typical Andy Gibb ballad like "Don't throw it all away". Absolutely gorgeous.
6003. Always-Atlantic Starr 1987 Never gotten sick of it. I like all of their 3 biggies.
6002. Everybody Have Fun Tonight-Wang Chung 1986 I thought this would be low--for you.
6001. The End of the Innocence-Don Henley 1989 I hate people who insist his later solo stuff was better than his earlier. No pun intended, but...GIVE ME DIRTY LAUNDRY!!!

6020. Happy Trails-Van Halen 1982 Never heard it.
6019. Four Little Diamonds-E.L.O. 1983 Not familiar. I own the 2 disc set, not the big box.
6018. Live and Let Die-Guns-n-Roses 1991 EWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!! When I first met my husband he bragged about this and Heavens Door. I set him straight very quickly. He'd never heard the originals. Now he feels the same way I do about the covers.
6017. When I'm With You-Sheriff 1983/88/89 Eh.
6016. Tequila Sunrise-Eagles 1973 Not an Eagles fan.
6015. Just My Imagination (Running Away With Me)-Temptations 1971 Love this song. Borders on being a stalker song, but good one.
6014. More Than Words Can Say-Alias 1990 Eh.
6013. Name Game-Shirley Ellis 1964/65 Um - I got so tired of this one. Just from kids singing it.
6012. Muscles-Diana Ross 1982 I don't know this one.
6011. Money Changes Everything-Cyndi Lauper 1984/85 Never saw the video - I do like the song.
6010. I'm So Excited-Pointer Sisters 1982/84 Kind of sick of it, but I still like it.
6009. Theme From the Monkees-Monkees 1966 Considering it took me many years to get all the eps on video (long before they mass released them) I grew weary of this - that and it has to show up on every gh offering. Nowadays, I include it when I make cds for other people, but I use the tv version which can be found on several cd's. (including your much loved Missing Links)
6008. A Taste of Honey-Beatles 1963 Not familiar, but I'd bet is isn't very good. I think it may be on an old album I have but I skipped it.
6007. Power-Cher 1998 Is this on Believe? I have it but never really listened to it.
6006. Hurt So Bad-Linda Ronstadt 1980 Yuk!
6005. Then Was Then But This is Now-ABC 1984 I haven't seen that movie in ages. Prefer the different (yet same titled ) Monkees song.
6004. Neither One of Us-Gladys Knight & the Pips 1973 I like this one. It's a good sad song.
6003. Always-Atlantic Starr 1987 Yes, and way too schmaltzy for my taste. My cousins graduated that year - their theme was "Forever Young" (by Alphaville NOT Rod Stewart) and that ended up in that stupid car commercial.
6002. Everybody Have Fun Tonight-Wang Chung 1986 Love this song. Loved it when they had Frazier saying it on Cheers. The video..........UM BUtthead, I think I'm gonna have a seizure.....LSJ: T:JEOI JGPJRSGP J JRGPJRGPJJRGPJR:G JR:GJ R:GJ R: HNR:GJ:RJGHR: RH H:LHDHVPKHDPOIRHGO:GHRPOIROPH
6001. The End of the Innocence-Don Henley 1989 EEEEEEWWWWWWWW! That's all I have to say about that.

Happy Trails - Kind of silly for a rock band to do this song, but who's to stop them.
6017 - 6019 - don't know them
Tequila Sunrise - I never minded the Eagles ballads. This is a good one
Just My Imagination - Another slower song that I thought was very good.
More Than Words Can Say - don't know it
Name Game - Silly song, but I remember singing back in elementary school
Muscles - no thanks
Money Changes Everything - Didn't like it as much as Time after Time & Girls Just Want to Have Fun
I So Excited - Not my favorite from them
Monkees Theme - Fun song, but hearing it every week got old.
6007 & 6008 - don't know them
Hurt So Bad - Maybe her worst cover
Then was Then, But This is Now - don't know it
Neither One of Us - Not a bad song
6001 - 6003 - don't know them

No joke! 6017. It's just one of countless groups at the time where the guys were more concerned with their hair and looks and thought because they sang a little loud that they were a hard rock band. 6007. I don't know, I'd have to check.

But I think the 45 cover indicated that the live version was on there. So that's probably what I was remembering.

:9: Happy Halloween, whatever that is... ;D 6020. Any "Chuck"'s out there? ;D 6012. 6009. Theme From the Monkees-Monkees 1966 Now the party can go on!!! ;D 6008. A Taste of Honey-Beatles 1963 Pretty good, but give me Herb Alpert. ;D 6007. 6013. They did that in an SCTV skit once!

(including your much loved Missing Links) 6008. The video..........UM BUtthead, I think I'm gonna have a seizure.....LSJ: T:JEOI JGPJRSGP J JRGPJRGPJJRGPJR:G JR:GJ R:GJ R: HNR:GJ:RJGHR: RH H:LHDHVPKHDPOIRHGO:GHRPOIROPH 6001. The End of the Innocence-Don Henley 1989 EEEEEEWWWWWWWW! That's all I have to say about that. 6019. Time to buy the big box! 6007. Yes it is. 6002. That was funny with Frazier!
