Actually, then you have Mailman! It's on Anth 3, from the Let it Be sessions. Surprised you don't know the Billy Joel song, but you DO know the Walsh tune! (Didn't think that got any airplay) I haven't listened to the whole Anth 3 cd yet, guess I'll have to. I didn't listen to a lot of radio from about 1985 through 1990. The Joe Walsh I remember checking out after someone recommended it. Glad they did.

One more and I'll be caught up! 6000 - I'm not a HUGE fan but then again I'm only familiar with 3 of his tunes - but this is a winner. 5999 - Was it me or did all their songs sound the same? Although I like American Girls my local Rock station drove Mr.Jones into the ground. 5998 - Don't know it 5997 - Love it! very cool little tune! first heard this when I was a kid while listening to a Beatles radio special. 5996 - Great tune - First heard it on the Sessions bootleg. I beleive it was a Holly B - side in England. 5995 - LOL! I've never tired of it 5994 - But Adam, it's The Beatles 5993 - Not familiar. 5992 - Ditto - although I heard Don't You Forget About Me yesterday - still sounds great. 5991 - First heard this in the early 80's - A good tune. 5990 - Did anyone else notice that the "TV version" is slightly different? 5989 - Other than this I think Flowers is a very strong record. 5988 - I love the faster version great folk type of feel. 5987 - Great track - always loved Glass Houses . Go buy it right now 5986 - Nope 5985 - A Beach Boy Fave - I have a version from a 70's Beach boy comp that runs a bit longer. 5984 - Can't remember if this is on my 2 CD set or not. 5983 - The only track I know from the album is Calling America 5982 - I agree 5981 - Not familiar

6000. Let's Stay Together-Al Green 1971/72 I like Al Green. This is one of his best. I just read that he's doing a new album, his second secular (non-Gospel) album since 1978.
5999. Round Here-Counting Crows 1993/94 Never liked this band, especially their whiny singer.
5998. Quicksand Jesus-Skid Row 1991 Remember this album, and the title, but wasn't a big enough fan to remember this song.
5997. Cry For a Shadow-Beatles 1961/95 For YEARS I wondered what this sounded like. Not bad, sounds like any early 60's instrumental. Hey, everybody has to start somewhere!
5996. Mailman, Bring Me No More Blues-Beatles 1969/96 I'll have to investigate.
5995. Wipe Out-Surfaris 1963/66 I've always liked it.
5994. Maxwell's Silver Hammer-Beatles 1969 Yeah, kind of an annoying song, but what would Abbey Road be without it?
5993. Runaway-Cher 1998 Don't THINK I know it..
5992. All the Things She Said-Simple Minds 1986 I LOVE this song. Their third single off the albom, and one of my faves from them.
5991. Sweet Nothin's-Brenda Lee 1959/60 Not big on Brenda Lee
5990. Happy Days-Pratt & McClain 1976 I had this on 45, as well as "Welcome Back" by John Sebastian. Both out at the same time. Both great shows. Not the same version used on TV.
5989. Distractions-Paul McCartney 1989 Paul was losing it by then.
5988. I Wanna Be Free (Slow version)-Monkees 1966 Fast version all the way!
5987. All For Lena-Billy Joel 1980 Don't know it..
5986. Variety Tonight-REO Speedwagon 1987 Don't know it.
5985. Barbara Ann-Beach Boys 1966 Kind of a throwaway record. But it was just meant to keep the record company happy while Pet Sounds was being made. More lively sounding than the original. I always thought The Regents sounded like someone let the air out of their tires..
5984. Up All Night-Joe Walsh 1991 Don't know it.
5983. Getting to the Point-E.L.O. 1986 Or this...
5982. You're Only Human (Second Wind)-Billy Joel 1985 Another boring one from Beeely...
5981. Stagefright-Def Leppard 1983 One of my fave cuts on Pyromania.

I used to sing "Bobberann". LOL. I think a lot of people used to get the lyrics wrong.

6000. Let's Stay Together-Al Green 1971/72 This is probably my favorite Al song. Tina Turner did a good cover of this as well.
5999. Round Here-Counting Crows 1993/94 Not as good as 'Mr. Jones'.
5998. Quicksand Jesus-Skid Row 1991 Don't know this one.
5997. Cry For a Shadow-Beatles 1961/95 I was surprised this wasn't released on one of their early studio albums.
5996. Mailman, Bring Me No More Blues-Beatles 1969/96 I definitely need to get those Anthologies out - some of these songs just aren't coming to me.
5995. Wipe Out-Surfaris 1963/66 This was the song everyone "speed-skated" to at the roller rink when I was younger. I always remember those days when I hear it.
5994. Maxwell's Silver Hammer-Beatles 1969 I'd have to agree with George and John on this one also. One of their lesser songs.
5993. Runaway-Cher 1998 Excellent CD, with some terrific songs.
5992. All the Things She Said-Simple Minds 1986 My least favorite of their singles. Not a bad song, though.
5991. Sweet Nothin's-Brenda Lee 1959/60 I don't know this one.
5990. Happy Days-Pratt & McClain 1976 I don't remember hearing this much on the radio either back then. Not as good as the other theme songs of the time, but not bad.
5989. Distractions-Paul McCartney 1989 This wasn't a strong period for him at all, unfortunately.
5988. I Wanna Be Free (Slow version)-Monkees 1966 Not familiar with this one.
5987. All For Lena-Billy Joel 1980 Glass Houses was definitely one of Billy's best efforts. I've always been partial to the singles from that one.
5986. Variety Tonight-REO Speedwagon 1987 I don't know this one, but I agree that they were past their prime by then.
5985. Barbara Ann-Beach Boys 1966 I used to dislike this, but it's growing on me. Still, their other material from this era was so much better.
5984. Up All Night-Joe Walsh 1991 I'm not too familiar with Joe's more recent work - should check it out sometime.
5983. Getting to the Point-E.L.O. 1986 Like REO, they were on the downside of their peak by this time.
5982. You're Only Human (Second Wind)-Billy Joel 1985 I'm kind of indifferent to this one.
5981. Stagefright-Def Leppard 1983 Good cut from Pyromania. I remember playing that album quite a bit back in the summer of '85.

Let's Stay Together--Not a big Al fan. I'd rather hear Tina's version of this one. Round Here--I kinda liked the Counting Crows. There was just something about Adam Durwitz (was that his name?) and his voice that I found appealing. Quicksand Jesus--Never got into Skid Row. Don't know this song. Sebastian Bach seems like kind of a jerk. Glad he's found work though. LOL! Cry for a Shadow--Don't know it. Interesting title, though. Mailman, etc. No clue. Wipe Out--Don't much care for too many instrumental songs. This one has been way overplayed during the years. Maxwell's Silver Hammer--I don't mind this. Kind of a fun song. Runaway--Don't know it by title. Might know it if I heard it. All the Things She Said--Don't know it. Sweet Nothin's--Not really my style, but it's ok. Happy Days--Had this 45. It's an ok song. Distractions--Nope. Don't know it. I Wanna Be Free--Another Monkees song I don't know. All For Lena--OMG! I LOVED the Glass Houses LP! Couldn't get enough of it back in high school. This is a good song. Like it a lot. Variety Tonight--Don't remember this. If I heard it, I might know it. Barbara Ann--A friend of mine is named Barbara Jean, and we used to tease her by singing "Barbara Jean" instead of Barbara Ann. That's my memory of that song. Fascinating, ain't it? Up All Night--Really good song. I enjoy listening to it. Getting to the Point--Don't know it. You're Only Human--Pretty good, but not one of his best. Stagefright--Don't think I know it.

I think that is how they knew so much Holly stuff to cover. 5994. LOL! I've always said, the Beatles worst is better than many artist's best! 5992. Yeah, that's a classic! 5990. I think a lot of TV themes are like that. 5989. I agree; especially so late in his career. 5988. Me too. It's much better. 5987. LOL! 5985. A longer version of the same recording? 5984. The only cut (I think) from Ordinary Average Guy is the title cut, in a live version with Glen Frey!

5994. Maxwell's Silver Hammer-Beatles 1969 Yeah, kind of an annoying song, but what would Abbey Road be without it? 5994. Um, better? LOL!! J/K! I wouldn't take a single song of any of the Beatles records.

LOL. I think a lot of people used to get the lyrics wrong. Well they are sung sorta sloppily.

I guess the only other album this version is on is the Beach Boys Party LP.
