Glad to see things are picking up around here!
5900. In Too Deep-Genesis 1987 I don't know what it was, but this ballad was nowhere NEAR as great as their last one before this, Taking it All Too Hard.
5899. Downtown Train-Rod Stewart 1989/90 Yet another slip by Rod into Adult Contemporary.
5898. The Sky is Crying-Stevie Ray Vaughan 1991 Again, I respect his talent, his style just isn't something I listen to.
5897. Honey, Honey-ABBA 1974 (Previous ranking 4188) One of the more well known songs that didn't make the Gold album. I agree that it isn't one of their better ones.
5896. Don't Answer Me-Alan Parsons Project 1984 Not bad, but I prefer their 70's progressive like songs over these mid 80's ballads.
5895. Big City Nights-Scorpions 1984 Have I ever talked about how much Klaus Meine's voice annoys me? Well, it does!
5894. Sing For the Day-Styx 1979 Not quite that typical Styx sound on this one. Probably why I don't like it as much.
5893. Spanked-Van Halen 1991 Do you see how annoying VH got when Sammy joined them? Dumb title, dumb song.
5892. Lines on My Face-Peter Frampton 1977 (New addition) I discovered all kinds of Frampton stuff when I got his greatest hits. Most were good, but I was disappointed in this, thinking it would be a great rocker.
5891. Happy, Happy Birthday Baby-Tuneweavers 1957 "Cute" little song. Again, you don't hear this on the oldies station anymore.
5890. Katmandu (Live)-Bob Seger 1976 (Previous ranking 3915) Seger's voice annoys me on certain songs, and this is one of them. I know many people like him, but I'm not a huge fan.
5889. Teeny Tiny Gnome-Monkees 1966/88 Love that title, don't you? Even in the liner notes to Missing Links they commented how the producers must've been frustrated by such an uncommercial song.
5888. Breakin' in a Brand New Heart-Connie Francis 1961 I only knew a certain amount of songs when I met my wife, and she had the greatest hits tape. Lots of pleasant early pop rock on it.
5887. Tear the Top Right Off My Head-Monkees 1968/91 Originally unreleased, this showed up on the first box set. As much as I liked Peter, his songs weren't that great.
5886. You Might Need Somebody-Joe Walsh 1991 I really got into that Ordinary Average Guy tape when I bought it. Lots of cool songs on there.
5885. The Pusher-Steppenwolf 1968 Probably one of the earliest songs to use the phrase "g-damn". Not bad, but they had better cuts.
5884. He's the Greatest Dancer-Sister Sledge 1979 I wonder if this would've been bigger had there been no We Are Family?
5883. Twilight Time-Platters 1958 More early pre-rock sounding stuff.
5882. Time After Time-Cyndi Lauper 1983 I remember liking this quite a bit when it first came out, but it wore thin.
5881. Got Me Under Pressure-ZZ Top 1983 Never heard this until recent years when the Rock station started playing it. Nothing special.
Have at it!

5900. In Too Deep-Genesis 1987 ITA that Taking it All Too Hard and Throwing It All Away are better ballads from this era. 5899. Downtown Train-Rod Stewart 1989/90 Written by Tom Waits, so it had potential. I like Rod's accoustic version better than the single, but neither come close to Tom's great original. 5898. The Sky is Crying-Stevie Ray Vaughan 1991 Ditto your comments 5897. Honey, Honey-ABBA 1974 (Previous ranking 4188) Not their best for sure but a big miss from the Gold set. 5896. Don't Answer Me-Alan Parsons Project 1984 I love the 80s ballads! This is an awesome song. Especially the harmonies. 5895. Big City Nights-Scorpions 1984 Oy 5894. Sing For the Day-Styx 1979 Not a fave 5893. Spanked-Van Halen 1991 Don't remember this one. 5892. Lines on My Face-Peter Frampton 1977 (New addition) Not bad 5891. Happy, Happy Birthday Baby-Tuneweavers 1957 Cornball 5890. Katmandu (Live)-Bob Seger 1976 (Previous ranking 3915) Don't like this one either 5889. Teeny Tiny Gnome-Monkees 1966/88 5888. Breakin' in a Brand New Heart-Connie Francis 1961 I don't like Connie much 5887. Tear the Top Right Off My Head-Monkees 1968/91 5886. You Might Need Somebody-Joe Walsh 1991 Not a fave for me. 5885. The Pusher-Steppenwolf 1968 5884. He's the Greatest Dancer-Sister Sledge 1979 Love it! 5883. Twilight Time-Platters 1958 Not my style. 5882. Time After Time-Cyndi Lauper 1983 LOVE IT! I also love the version from the movie Strictly Ballroom5881. Got Me Under Pressure-ZZ Top 1983 Don't know this one

5900 - Recieved the album for my birthday - really enjoyed it . This was a pleasant tune.
5899 - One of the few of his late 80's early 90's tunes I actually don't mind.
5898 - Among my favorite albums from Stevie . Bought it as soon as it came out . It was so great at the time to hear some "new" unreleased songs.
5897 - To me it had a bubbblegum type of sound . Good tune , ever notice how many of their song titles repeat?
Money Money Money , I Do I Do , Ring Ring etc.
5896 - Have always loved it and bought the 45 as soon as it came out .
5895 - I only know three songs and a buddy of mine loved both Big City and Hurricane so I heard them many times . Added both to a mix tape.
5894 - I'm not as familiar with the album cuts on this album althiugh of course I know and have the hits . I had a listen to it - pretty good .
5893 - Missed out on this one - it does sound dumb though .
5892 - Love it - really like the electric piano.
5891 - Ok oldie been a little while since I've listened to it.
5890 - Awesome tune.
5889 - Familiar with the title but have never heard it until right now - LOL had a listen - not a bad tune - have to agree - strange choice for a title .
5888 - Don't know it but had a listen , very good. She had a great voice.
5887 - It's ok but have to agree - his songs were not that great.
5886 - Don't know it.
5885 - A classic - I remember my cousin visiting back when we were in high school and at the time he had just bought a two fer cassette that included the first two Steppenwolf albums . He ended up forgetting to take it home so I ended up listening to it for a couple of weeks before he came and picked it up. Up to that point I only knew the hits so it was very cool to hear some deeper cuts.
5884 - A good disco tune.
5883 - Very nice oldie.
5882 - My #1 fave from Cyndi . Still sounds great.
5881 - A big fave of mine from Eliminator.

5889. Teeny Tiny Gnome-Monkees 1966/88 Don't know it

5894. Sing For the Day-Styx 1979 Not among their best songs.
