5900. In Too Deep-Genesis 1987 One of their better ballads IMO. MUCH better than "Throwing it all away".
5899. Downtown Train-Rod Stewart 1989/90 Not great, not bad. Believe it or not, I still don't own this.
5898. The Sky is Crying-Stevie Ray Vaughan 1991 All right.
5897. Honey, Honey-ABBA 1974 (Previous ranking 4188) LOVED this from my youth. The fact that this ISN'T played enough makes it one of my faves of theirs. I'd be ANGRY if this wasn't on their 4-CD box set.
5896. Don't Answer Me-Alan Parsons Project 1984 Quite good when current, but its Spectoresque quality only makes me LOVE this today.
5895. Big City Nights-Scorpions 1984 Not a bad rocker.
5894. Sing For the Day-Styx 1979 Almost more like their earlier progressive stuff. Great tune.
5893. Spanked-Van Halen 1991 One of my lesser faves of theirs.
5892. Lines on My Face-Peter Frampton 1977 (New addition) Not a bad one off "I'm in you"!
5891. Happy, Happy Birthday Baby-Tuneweavers 1957 Nice one.
5890. Katmandu (Live)-Bob Seger 1976 (Previous ranking 3915) Always seems to be played more than the better, original studio version (which almost made the top 40).
5889. Teeny Tiny Gnome-Monkees 1966/88 Nice title...
5888. Breakin' in a Brand New Heart-Connie Francis 1961 Pretty good. Have the cassette, but there's lots missing.
5887. Tear the Top Right Off My Head-Monkees 1968/91 Hey hey! (Just had to say SOMETHING... ;D)
5886. You Might Need Somebody-Joe Walsh 1991 I might know this...
5885. The Pusher-Steppenwolf 1968 COOOOL!
5884. He's the Greatest Dancer-Sister Sledge 1979 This in fact was a top 10 hit, right BEFORE "Family". Flawless Chic-style groove, wonderful singing. Viva 1979!
5883. Twilight Time-Platters 1958 WOO HOO!!!! My fave of them! Top 1000 on my list NEXT time, and forever there!
5882. Time After Time-Cyndi Lauper 1983 Same comment here. Public places like Wal-Mart and McDonald's still seem to overplay it.
5881. Got Me Under Pressure-ZZ Top 1983 Oh, man! This rocks! On their Greatest Hits, yet not a HOT 100 hit or a video!

You should really check her out-pre-rock sounding pop, lots of "lovely" music, for lack of a better term.

5900. In Too Deep-Genesis 1987 It's ok but I also like Taking It All Too Hard better.
5899. Downtown Train-Rod Stewart 1989/90 Yuk!
5898. The Sky is Crying-Stevie Ray Vaughan 1991 No thanks.
5897. Honey, Honey-ABBA 1974 (Previous ranking 4188) It's ok, but a bit schmaltzy - and it's on More Gold.
5896. Don't Answer Me-Alan Parsons Project 1984 Great song and interesting video.
5895. Big City Nights-Scorpions 1984 Yes, his voice is annoying! Especially when he says "Gorky Park" on that other song.
5894. Sing For the Day-Styx 1979 Not really into Styx.
5893. Spanked-Van Halen 1991 Not into the Sammy years.
5892. Lines on My Face-Peter Frampton 1977 (New addition) Not familiar.
5891. Happy, Happy Birthday Baby-Tuneweavers 1957 Eh.
5890. Katmandu (Live)-Bob Seger 1976 (Previous ranking 3915) Not a big Seger fan.
5889. Teeny Tiny Gnome-Monkees 1966/88 Not a fan of this one - yuk.
5888. Breakin' in a Brand New Heart-Connie Francis 1961 Not thanks.
5887. Tear the Top Right Off My Head-Monkees 1968/91 Peter's good! Whatcha talkin' 'bout! His voice isn't polished, but it's interesting. I like this song. There are a few other versions of it.
5886. You Might Need Somebody-Joe Walsh 1991 Not familiar.
5885. The Pusher-Steppenwolf 1968 Not familiar.
5884. He's the Greatest Dancer-Sister Sledge 1979 Eh.
5883. Twilight Time-Platters 1958 Yuk!
5882. Time After Time-Cyndi Lauper 1983 Not bad but got tired of it.
5881. Got Me Under Pressure-ZZ Top 1983 My dad wore these guys out for me.

In Too Deep--Not something I'd listen to on a regular basis.
Downtown Train--Like this one a lot. Also have a version of it by Patty Smyth that's pretty good.
The Sky is Crying--I'm not a big Stevie fan, but this song is ok.
Honey Honey--Don't think I know it.
Don't Answer Me--It's all right. Kinda boring, though.
Big City Nights--I don't like that guy's voice, either, Adam. Very annoying.
Sing for the Day--Love this one! I played it a lot way back when.
Spanked--I might know it if I heard it, but I can't place it right now.
Lines on My Face--Was never into Peter Frampton much. Don't know this song.
Happy Happy Birthday Baby--Not bad, but not great.
Katmandu--Love it, love it, love it! I crank this one up all the time!
Teeny Tiny Gnome--Not a clue about this one.
Breakin' in a Brand New Heart--My dad liked Connie Francis a lot. I tended to tune her out whenever he'd play one of her songs. ;D
Tear the Top Right Off My Head--Huh?
You Might Need Somebody--I think I have the Ordinary Average Guy CD. My husband probably listened to it more than I did though. I can't place this song.
The Pusher--I'm sure I've told this story before, but I will forever associate this song with my mom, and her getting very angry at my brother years ago for playing this song one day at top volume. She couldn't believe the language in the song and told my brother to never play it again. 'Course, that's mild to what artists can get away with saying on a CD today. Times change...
He's the Greatest Dancer--Ick.
Twilight Time--I'll pass.
Time After Time--Really like it. It never gets old.
Got Me Under Pressure--Pretty good song.

LOL 5898. Yes according to the liner notes this was one of Stevie's faves and they recorded it a few times but this version was done during the sessions for the Soul to Soul album. Oh, ok cool!

I like this song. There are a few other versions of it. 5897. Schmaltzy? Never thought of it as that, seems too bouncy. 5895. Yes, when he sings "Gorky Park", it's VERY annoying!! 5887. Oh believe me, I like Peter! He's my fave, and a good musician. And probably the coolest, with the coolest friends.

Yeah, saying GD back then was a huge deal. It's nothing now....
