Pretty bizarre mix of songs today! 5860. It's Nice to Be With You-Monkees 1968 The B side to D.W. Washburn, their first single after the show was cancelled. Another Davey song, this isn't quite so annoying. 5859. Stone Soul Picnic-Fifth Dimension 1968 I should really seek out a good compilation of theirs. Oldies stations seem to ignore the "black Mama's & Papa's". 5858. Buildings Have Eyes-E.L.O. 1983 Bizarre title. Heard this on the box set. They had better 80's stuff. 5857. Atomic Punk-Van Halen 1978 Probably their hardest rocking tune on the first album. Probably trying to "be" punk. 5856. Hard Habit to Break-Chicago 1984 The early 80's ballads weren't God awful, but I'd rather hear Hard to Say I'm Sorry/Get Away. 5855. Perry Mason-Ozzy Osbourne 1995 I remember this album being a big comeback deal for him on the rock station. Thought this was a weird song title though. 5854. Stand Up-Kick Love into Motion-Def Leppard 1992 The title has Mutt Lange written all over it. Maybe Shania will cover it. 5853. Bitter Tears-INXS 1991 Overall, their time had passed at this point, but this song was decent. 5852. Every Woman in the World-Air Supply 1980/81 The kings of chick rock strike back. 5851. Walk of Life-Dire Straits 1985/86 Remember loving each of their songs as they came out but got sick of em big time. Cool sports video though. HATED the barefoot guitarist in the video though, WAY annoying. 5850. Another Rainy Day in New York City-Chicago 1976 For some reason, this track made it's way onto a budget compilation of theirs. Nothing to write home about, despite it still being Chicago in their prime. 5849. The Cha-Cha-Cha-Bobby Rydell 1962 My dad bought several of his singles when he got his jukebox. This was one of them. 5848. Justify My Love-Madonna 1990 Why this was banned on MTV and they show stuff WAY worse on there is beyond me. A weak track from her. Written by Lenny Kravitz! 5847. Invaders-Iron Maiden 1982 (Previous ranking 3921) One of the songs I learned when I got The Number of the Beast CD. Strictly for die-hards. 5846. You Better Sit Down Kids-Cher 1967 Her first big solo single? I'm not sure, don't have one of the books in front of me. 5845. So Serious-E.L.O. 1986 Another one from the box set. Would have rather had more of the early stuff on there. 5844. Comin' Under Fire-Def Leppard 1983 Album cut from Pyromania, one of the first tapes I owned. So without much more choice, I listened all the way through a lot. 5843. Red Rain-Peter Gabriel 1986 Popular album cut from an album that got tons of play. I like the tune as far as his stuff goes, but I'm not that big on him to begin with. 5842. No One is to Blame-Howard Jones 1986 Oh no, Railyn is gonna sing again!! 5841. Who's Your Daddy-Toby Keith 2002 (New additon) He's a cocky ass, and his songs for the most part are average to me. Have at it!

5860. It's Nice to Be With You-Monkees 1968 It's OK... I actually like DW Washburn better.
5859. Stone Soul Picnic-Fifth Dimension 1968 One of the better early (pre-Aquarius) 5th Dimension songs. Overplayed, though back in the day.
5858. Buildings Have Eyes-E.L.O. 1983 Don't know it
5857. Atomic Punk-Van Halen 1978 Don't know it
5856. Hard Habit to Break-Chicago 1984 Not that bad, but I agree Hard to Say I'm Sorry is a lot better.
5855. Perry Mason-Ozzy Osbourne 1995 Don't know it
5854. Stand Up-Kick Love into Motion-Def Leppard 1992 Don't know it
5853. Bitter Tears-INXS 1991 Never listened to them
5852. Every Woman in the World-Air Supply 1980/81 This was OK, but they did others that I liked far better.
5851. Walk of Life-Dire Straits 1985/86 I used to work with this guy who'd always make that ooo-ooo sound. This song reminds me of him. He was a weird guy, and this is a weird song. Don't care for it that much.
5850. Another Rainy Day in New York City-Chicago 1976 Don't remember it.
5849. The Cha-Cha-Cha-Bobby Rydell 1962 I remember being crazy about this song back in the day. For the life of me, I don't know why. I'm more or less neutral to it now.
5848. Justify My Love-Madonna 1990 Don't know it
5847. Invaders-Iron Maiden 1982 (Previous ranking 3921) Don't know it
5846. You Better Sit Down Kids-Cher 1967 I don't have the book in front of me either, but I think Bang Bang was first. (1966, I think). You Better Sit Down Kids is a weird song, especially because she sings from the dad's point of view. (The only other instance of that that comes to mind is Joan Baez singing The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down).
5845. So Serious-E.L.O. 1986 Don't remember it
5844. Comin' Under Fire-Def Leppard 1983 Barely remember it.
5843. Red Rain-Peter Gabriel 1986 Don't know it.
5842. No One is to Blame-Howard Jones 1986 Don't care for it at all.
5841. Who's Your Daddy-Toby Keith 2002 Don't know it.

5841. Who's Your Daddy-Toby Keith 2002 (New additon) This song is soooo irritating. I don't like him in general, though. [/glow]

5860 - Kind of Schmaltzy but I guess it's ok - I like DW better. 5859 - Remember hearing this as a kid - one of my faves. 5858- Not too bad - I've never heard it before. 5857 - Great track - lots of energy! 5856 - Really liked it alot 5855- Don't know it. 5854 - It does have Mutt's stamp on it - good tune though. 5853 - First time I've heard it - great song. 5852 - "The kings of chick rock strike back." LOL - remember it well. 5851 - I really like the sound of the album - every time I went into a record/ Stereo store at the time and the salesman was demonstrating a pair of speakers this is the album they would crank up . I remember seeing the video quite a few times but nowhere near as much as Money for Nothing. 5850 - Yup it's on the the '83 budget collection I have on cassette called If You Leave Me Now - I remember Dawn mentioning she had this compilation as well. I like the feel of the song. 5849 - It's ok I guess. 5848 - Just when you thought she couldn't get any lower - Yuck - dreadful stuff couldn't believe it was written by Lenny 5847 - not familiar - at least I don't think so. 5846 - Her first "biggie" was Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down) which peaked at #2 in '66 5845 - Nice melody but have to agree 5844 - Don't know it. 5843 - Ditto 5842 - The only Howard tune I know - I still really like it very much 5841 - LOL - don't know it.

5860. It's Nice to Be With You-Monkees 1968 Not bad.
5859. Stone Soul Picnic-Fifth Dimension 1968 One of the next CD compilations I get is theirs. LOVE this.
5858. Buildings Have Eyes-E.L.O. 1983 This is ok.
5857. Atomic Punk-Van Halen 1978 Pretty cool.
5856. Hard Habit to Break-Chicago 1984 One of my lesser fave Chicago tunes when Peter was still there.
5855. Perry Mason-Ozzy Osbourne 1995 And I keep wanting to sing, whoomp, whee-oo, I look just like Perry Mason!!! LOL!! ;D Sorry Ozzy, you're no Weezer.
5854. Stand Up-Kick Love into Motion-Def Leppard 1992 LOL! I thought Shania had a better chance of covering ANY Def Leppard tune than, um... ;D This tune's good, but hasn't aged well.
5853. Bitter Tears-INXS 1991 Pretty good.
5852. Every Woman in the World-Air Supply 1980/81 One of their best. Forgot to tell Dawn (when I visited) how much I LOOOOVE this group more than ever!
5851. Walk of Life-Dire Straits 1985/86 Still love this. Another one forever in my top 1000.
5850. Another Rainy Day in New York City-Chicago 1976 I honestly thought this tune was the inspiration for "Oliver and Company"'s opening tune, "Once upon a time in NYC". Great midtempo stuff.
5849. The Cha-Cha-Cha-Bobby Rydell 1962 One of his best! Cool chiming and organ! (inspired from Dave Baby Cortez's "Rinky Dink").
5848. Justify My Love-Madonna 1990 Man, Has MTV always had weird rules for showing videos. This is a HECK of a lot better than 50 Cent!!!
5847. Invaders-Iron Maiden 1982 (Previous ranking 3921) I love this tune, as with most of the "Beast" album.
5846. You Better Sit Down Kids-Cher 1967 Nope. A year before, she hit #2 with a song Sonny wrote and produced, but no artist label credit, "Bang Bang". In fact, Sonny was behind much of Cher's 60's solo stuff pretty much.
5845. So Serious-E.L.O. 1986 Not bad, the little-known follow-up to "Calling America"-NOT on that first box set!
5844. Comin' Under Fire-Def Leppard 1983 Awesome!
5843. Red Rain-Peter Gabriel 1986 Haven't heard this much recently, but it got much album rock play in the summer '86.
5842. No One is to Blame-Howard Jones 1986 Moderately known artist who hit top 5 the year before, plus "the artist" of the time, equals sure-fire airplay #1. MAN, Give me the Jets and Blow Monkeys!!! MAKE IT STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!
5841. Who's Your Daddy-Toby Keith 2002 (New additon) Eh...

5860. It's Nice to Be With You-Monkees 1968 Better than the A-side.
5859. Stone Soul Picnic-Fifth Dimension 1968 LOVE this song, and this group! I proudly own the 2 disc set!
5858. Buildings Have Eyes-E.L.O. 1983 Another 80's ELO tune I don't know.
5857. Atomic Punk-Van Halen 1978 It's OK..
5856. Hard Habit to Break-Chicago 1984 Eh... Bad Chicago. Not as bad as "Inspiration", though.
5855. Perry Mason-Ozzy Osbourne 1995 I remember working in music retail the day this album came out. Disgruntled fans bought it, went out to their car to hear it, then came back in the store 20 minutes later to return it.
5854. Stand Up-Kick Love into Motion-Def Leppard 1992 Didn't like the album
5853. Bitter Tears-INXS 1991 They were done by this point. Give me "Don't Change" or "Original Sin"
5852. Every Woman in the World-Air Supply 1980/81 One of their better efforts, IMO
5851. Walk of Life-Dire Straits 1985/86 Nice country guitar sound that was a rarity in 1985.
5850. Another Rainy Day in New York City-Chicago 1976 With this title, I expected it to sound different. Rain, NYC, and a Carribbean sound don't mix well. But the song is OK.
5849. The Cha-Cha-Cha-Bobby Rydell 1962 Don't care for him.
5848. Justify My Love-Madonna 1990 I remember the controversy, it was better than the song itself!
5847. Invaders-Iron Maiden 1982 (Previous ranking 3921) Not one of their better songs IMO
5846. You Better Sit Down Kids-Cher 1967 WHY did she sing this from the POV of the father? It makes NO sense!
5845. So Serious-E.L.O. 1986 Don't know it
5844. Comin' Under Fire-Def Leppard 1983 I almost said I didn't know it, then the hook popped into my head.. "Is it any won-der, You've got me comin' under fi-re" Yeah, good tune!
5843. Red Rain-Peter Gabriel 1986 One of the best cuts from So
5842. No One is to Blame-Howard Jones 1986 I was big on the first two HoJo albums, but was never crazy about this song.
5841. Who's Your Daddy-Toby Keith 2002 (New additon)

5860. It's Nice to Be With You-Monkees 1968 I can't place this one, although I may have it on an album...
5859. Stone Soul Picnic-Fifth Dimension 1968 They made some great music, I agree. This is a good one.
5858. Buildings Have Eyes-E.L.O. 1983 They weren't nearly as consistent by this time.
5857. Atomic Punk-Van Halen 1978 Not one of my favorites of theirs.
5856. Hard Habit to Break-Chicago 1984 This came out not long after a boyfriend and I broke up - used to play it a lot. One of their better 80s songs.
5855. Perry Mason-Ozzy Osbourne 1995 Not an Ozzy fan.
5854. Stand Up-Kick Love into Motion-Def Leppard 1992 I don't really care for their 90s material that much.
5853. Bitter Tears-INXS 1991 I must have missed hearing this one.
5852. Every Woman in the World-Air Supply 1980/81 Love this - one of their best.
5851. Walk of Life-Dire Straits 1985/86 I've never been as fond of this as 'Money for Nothing'.
5850. Another Rainy Day in New York City-Chicago 1976 A lost Chicago classic - I did a post about this song on YL last fall. Love this one.
5849. The Cha-Cha-Cha-Bobby Rydell 1962 I don't know this one.
5848. Justify My Love-Madonna 1990 I never liked this that well - her early 90s songs are kind of hit and miss with me.
5847. Invaders-Iron Maiden 1982 (Previous ranking 3921) I'm sure I heard this one when Mark and I were dating, but can't recall it.
5846. You Better Sit Down Kids-Cher 1967 I very rarely hear this one. Pretty good, though.
5845. So Serious-E.L.O. 1986 Not their best.
5844. Comin' Under Fire-Def Leppard 1983 I played this album a lot during the summer of '85. Haven't heard it in awhile, though.
5843. Red Rain-Peter Gabriel 1986 Not bad, but not great.
5842. No One is to Blame-Howard Jones 1986 I like this more now than I did at the time it was current.
5841. Who's Your Daddy-Toby Keith 2002 (New additon) I can't place this one.

5860. Don't know this song.
5859. No clue.
5858. Never heard it.
5857. Haven't heard this song either, but my sister has adopted the title as a sort of motto. She likes to be "punk" too.
5856. Don't know it.
5855. That is an interesting title. What's the song about?
5854 - 5849. I'm gonna save space by putting all of these together, because I don't know any of them.
5848. They DO show worse things on MTV now, don't they? I never thought this video was that bad. Well, what I've seen of it anyway. And the song itself? REALLY bad.
5847. Don't know it.
5846. Hmmm, never heard this before.
5845 - 5842. Don't know these.
5841. Toby Keith used to be really great, but the more popular he becomes the cockier he gets. I don't care much for this song though.
