Hope the lists are still interesting!
5840. All Out of Love-Air Supply 1980
One of their better ones, but still nothing I'd listen to.
5839. Just Once-James Ingram 1981
Overall, this isn't my style, but this was tolerable.
5838. Fire-Crazy World of Arthur Brown 1968
For whatever reason, this gets almost no play these days. Although I seem to remember hearing it recently, maybe on the Timeless Rock station's Rock and Roll Roots program?
5837. Unchained Melody-Righteous Brothers 1965/90
Damn Ghost for making this song big again! It caused 6 trillion couples to use it as their wedding song for the next 2 years!
5836. Rock-n-Roll High School-Ramones 1981
Never knew much by them, but I remember this from MTV.
5835. We'll Be Together-Sting 1987
His stuff solo was too tame, and too "artsy" sounding for me.
5834. La Isla Bonita-Madonna 1987
A friend of mine who isn't into Madonna calls this his fave by her. I can't understand it. This never appealed to me.
5833. Rusty Cage-Soundgarden 1992
I didn't know Soundgarden at the time. I learned this after the fact. I prefer their later "psychedelic" sound.
5832. Shades of Grey-Monkees 1967
I remember how excited I was when I saw this on my buddy's Greatest Hits tape since I had never heard of it. I was disappointed.
5831. California Girls-David Lee Roth 1985
Being a VH fan, I liked this at the time, but the novelty wore thin. Gimmie the original.
5830. Keeping the Faith-Billy Joel 1985
Another retro sound for Billy, which he seemed to be into big at the time. It just didn't do much for me.
5829. The Way You Do the Things You Do-Temptations 1964
Possibly their most famous, after My Girl. And thus, overplayed on oldies stations.
5828. Straight Up-Paula Abdul 1988/89 (Previous ranking 3803)
At the time, I thought this song wasn't bad, for this style of music. Probably why I gave it a higher ranking before.
5827. Come As You Are-Nirvana 1992
Was never a huge fan. They certainly helped change the musical landscape, but I like other songs by them better.
5826. You Keep Me Waiting-The Storm 1991
And you thought we were done with them! LOL! Another mediocre song from Greg and the boys.
5825. I Owe it All to You-Paul McCartney 1993
From Paul's second comeback album, Off the Ground. Nothing special, but not a bad song.
5824. Sweet Caroline-Neil Diamond 1969
I seem to know more than one person who denounces lite rock, but embraces Neil. Of artists my mom listened to, I'd rather hear Barry.
5823. Every Step of the Way-Monkees 1987
Totally dorky Davy song on their all new material "comeback" album. I am proud to say I have the video on tape, which was played on Nickelodeon.
5822. Lounge Fly-Stone Temple Pilots 1994
Album cut from their second disc, NOT on the Greatest Hits, which is fine. The naughty "F" word makes it's way on here.
5821. Life Itself-George Harrison 1987
Hey, it's George, so it's not bad! Just sortof.....tame.
Go to it.
5840. All Out of Love-Air Supply 1980
