Ok gang, even though we have a holiday Thursday, and many people are off work Friday, the INSANE list will still be up both days!!
Also, I am doing an album review on Friday you won't want to miss!!
Onward......
5800. Only You-Ringo Starr 1974/75
A cover by Richie I first heard on his Greatest Hits. Nothing spectacular, but I wasn't big on the first one to begin with.
5799. Stay-Maurice Williams & the Zodiacs 1960
Another one of those "typical" oldies I have just gotten burned out on.
5798. I Hate to Lose Your Lovin'-Little Feat 1988
This was the first song by them I ever heard, even before Dixie Chicken. The rock station here played it a lot when it was new.
5797. Fantasy-Mariah Carey 1995
Ok, this ranking is WAY out of whack, but oh well. I'm already driving myself nuts trying to rank everything properly! LOL!
5796. Joanna-Kook & the Gang 1983/84
They were hot at this time, no doubt about it. My wife has this tape, one of the oldest ones she has. Not a bad song.
5795. Oh My My-Monkees 1970
NOT the Ringo song. But this is one of many times on my list where a different song with the same title is near an artist with the same title (see Ringo up there? ). Their last single on their initial run. Down to a duo at the time. Not quite the same success as The Long and Winding Road.
5794. Ball and Chain-Janis Joplin 1968
I've seen several live performances of this song, and Janis goes nuts with it!
5793. For Your Eyes Only-Sheena Easton 1981
And Sheena was hot at this time. And she was HOT at this time.
5792. No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problem-Kenny Chesney 2003 (New addition)
Kenny isn't quite as cocky as Toby and Tim, and his songs are all average, like theirs.
5791. Rain on the Scarecrow-John Mellencamp 1986
I think I actually knew this before it ended up as a single and kinda figured it would end up released. Not bad, but not the best on the album.
5790. Take Me to the Top-Loverboy 1981
Never knew this until recent years. Their stuff over the next couple years was much better.
5789. Light My Fire-Doors 1967
Ok Doors fans, let's hear it again! If I were making an all time Classic Rock list, this would be high. But burn out, and the fact that it was never my fave from them give it this ranking on my list.
5788. It's a Mistake-Men at Work 1983
Man, they were so big for two years, and then it just faded. But this second album was nowhere as good as their first.
5787. Free Me-Roger Daltry 1980
One of a couple of his songs that got a decent amount of MTV play. He was hurting without Pete.
5786. Unchained Melody (Live)-Elvis 1977
This is pretty bad, by Elvis standards. He really phones in the performance.
5785. La De Da-Ringo 1998 (Previous ranking 4340)
For Ringo in 1998, this wasn't too bad. But overall, I don't need to really hear it much more.
5784. Come Home-Dave Clark Five 1965
Decent ballad from the DC5, but Because was much better.
5783. Before You Accuse Me-Eric Clapton 1989
Eric was doing this a lot in concert around this time. Too bluesy for me.
5782. Billie Jean-Michael Jackson 1983
Ok, this wasn't awful, but the guy's an idiot.
5781. What's Love Got to Do With it-Tina Turner 1984
Another artist who was hot at the time. Total memories of that time with these last two songs.
Go for it!
