Again, don't forget to come on the Click Thursday and Friday!
Am I annoying yet? ;D
I hate to do this, but until I fix my list, I am posting without numbers. I know this will be a pain mostly to Ken and Lora who usually just use the numbers, but I have to adjust the list. Sorry about that!!
I Swear-John Michael Montgomery 1994 (New addition)
My wife has an album or two by him. This was also made popular by some boy band, I think Boys II Men or something.
Mama He's Crazy-The Judds 1984 (New addition)
This is the only song I know by the legendary country duo. There was a Wings episode though that mocked the Judds with a group called the Todds where the mother was a tramp and the daughter was huge! LOL!
I Got Rhythm-Happenings 1967
A happy go lucky song, of which there were still plenty of in the psychedelic era.
Feelin' Right-Angel 1976
Ah, the legendary Angel! Bubblegum metal meets prog rock. This tune isn't bad.
Addicted to Love-Robert Palmer 1986
Have the 45, and enjoyed the first 6000 times. But PLEASE, that's enough!
D.I.V.O.R.C.E.-Tammy Wynette 1968* (New addition)
That year is approximate. I don't have the info I need here at work. Legend in country music who helped pave the way for women in that genre. Big influence on Martina, of course.
Fire-Pointer Sisters 1978/79
I always thought this was a cool song, even before I knew Bruce wrote it. Sung well.
Disarm-Smashing Pumpkins 1994
This was my first taste of the Pumpkins. (HA HA) But his voice annoys me. It would be a few years before I heard their best song.
Five to One-Doors 1968
Another example of a Doors album cut being better than most of their hits.
Get Out of My Way-Paul McCartney 1993
Another cut from his Off the Ground disc. Not bad, not spectacular.
With a Gun-Steely Dan 1974
A decent Dan song, but not up to their usual quality album cuts.
Sexy Girl-Glen Frey 1984
I think this is my fave from him. Never was my favorite Eagle.
Stray Cat Strut-Stray Cats 1982/83
I always remember my dad calling me into the room when he played a bunch of songs on his juke box, and when this came on, the video just so happened to come on. He showed me and I said, "So?" I felt bad ever since.
Legs-ZZ Top 1984
The MTV era ZZ just doesn't do much for me. Didn't have that early raw sound anymore.
Tell Him-Exciters 1962/63
Cute pre-Beatle era number.
Over and Over-Madonna 1984
I knew this because the girls in our class in 7th grade did a dance to it. Probably the worst act in the history of our school.
Wind of Change-Scorpions 1990
Surprised they were still putting out songs at this point. Probably their most mellow.
Forever in Blue Jeans-Neil Diamond 1979
This is when Neil was REALLY "mom" music.
Jesus Christ Pose-Soundgarden 1992
As I've said before, I didn't know this when it was first out. As I've also said, I preferred their psychedelic stuff better.
Power to the People-John Lennon 1971
One of many of his political songs that doesn't get as much play these days.
Have at it!
