I remember my parents would listen to the Ray Conniff Singers Christmas album, the Elvis Christmas album, Nat King Cole, and Judy Garland.
As a kid I loved and overplayed the Chipmonk Christmas album. I drove my parents crazy with that album. I also love "The Little Drummer Boy" done by David Bowie and Bing Crosby, "Wonderful Christmas Time" by Paul McCartney and Wings, "Father Christmas" by The Kinks, and I don't like Whitney Houston, but I like her version of "Do You Hear What I Hear".

Damn, Andrea, you stole my idea! LOL! Well, later in December I will print up my official ranked list. Absolutely love Wonderful Christmastime. And that first Elvis Christmas album is ESSENTIAL. I remember my mom ordering it off of TV for my dad, despite them being divorced. Love the entire thing. I have gone on record numerous times stating how much I can't stand Whitney, but even I have admitted she does a nice job on Do You Hear What I Hear? I wonder if she now sings, Do You Snort What I Snort?

Good topic, Andrea!
Some of my favorites are:
Sleigh Ride - pretty much any version Wonderful Christmastime - Paul McCartney Blue Christmas & Santa, Bring My Baby Back to Me - Elvis Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree - Brenda Lee Feliz Navidad - Jose Feliciano It Must Have Been the Mistletoe - Barbara Mandrell White Christmas - Bing Crosby The Most Wonderful Time of the Year - Andy Williams The Christmas Song - Nat King Cole Merry Christmas Darling - Carpenters A Soalin' - Peter, Paul & Mary Carol of the Bells - Four Seasons
Also a Christmas Disco LP from 1978, and a children's album by the Peppermint Kandy Kids called Santa Claus is Coming to Town, that my parents got for me in 1972. I think I've played that record just about every Christmas since then!

Don't know the Elvis Christmas album, but a recent one I would consider essential is Celine Dion's "These Are Special Times". Extraordinary.
And of course, there's White Christmas (Bing's version, naturally) and Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas (Judy is the only way to go on that one).
