Happy day off!!
PLEASE guys, don't forget my album review today! THANKS!!
Wango Tango-Ted Nugent 1980 A song by Teddy Boy that isn't quite up to his classic standards, but still gets some airplay.
Now-Edie Brickell & New Bohemians 1988 I was really into this first album. Right now I am only sorta remembering how this goes! LOL!
Holding Out For a Hero-Bonnie Tyler 1984 Her follow up to Total Eclipse, but not the same smash as that one.
Hallelujah, I Love Her So-Beatles-1960/95 An early recording, with Paul on lead, covering a Ray Charles song. Found on Anthology.
Do Not Ask For Love-Monkees 1966/90 Yes, another Missing Links song, this one on Volume II. Mickey sings on this slow one.
Step Inside Love/Los Paranoias-1968/96 Three "originally unreleased" songs in a row! This one is sort of legendary on bootlegs, remembering seeing the title for years. The first part is a Cilla Black tune, the second a jam improv.
No Easy Way Out-Robert Tepper 1986 I think this was from one of the Rocky movies which seemed to spin tons of hit records.
Chapel of Love-Dixie Cups 1964 This has worn a little thin on me, due to overplay.
Destination Unknown-E.L.O. 1986 Yep, another one from disc 3 of the box set. They put all these on there, and left off Calling America, a top 20 hit??
I Want it All-Queen 1989 The last new Queen song I ever knew. A rocker, but not up to Keep Yourself Alive standards.
I'm Sorry-John Denver 1975 I like John, I don't care what people say. Although this isn't a fave.
Rock Me Amedeus-Falco 1986 This one was kindof annoying, wasn't it?
On the Turning Away-Pink Floyd 1987 Not awful, but I like the other two cuts that got play better.
Rock-n-Roll, Hoochie Koo-Rick Derringer 1974 The only hit for the former Ricky Zerrhinger from the McCoys.
Take a Chance-Eric Clapton 1987 Sortof a laid back tune from his great August release.
Rhythm of Love-Scorpions 1988 This one is WAY annoying.
Desert Moon-Dennis DeYoung 1984 His solo career didn't exactly take off, did it?
You Can't Get What You Want ('Til You Know What You Want)-Joe Jackson 1984 From the album after his smash Day and Night, and not as good as the singles from that one.
Poetry Man-Phoebe Snow 1975 This one is just DRENCHED in the 70's!!
A Million to One-Jimmy Charles 1960 A good one from before the British Invasion.
Go to it!

Ted Nugent - Not a bad tune from "The Nuge" . The only two songs I ever hear on the radio are Strangelhold and Cat Scratch.
Edie Brickell - The only song of her's I'm familiar with is What I am.
Bonnie Tyler - I remember hearing this a few times but I liked Total Eclipse better.
The Beatles - Very cool to hear this finally after reading about it in different books on the fabs.
The Monkees - Good tune! Adam IYO is the second volume the stronger of the three volumes ?
The Beatles - I like it - cool to hear Paul ,John and possibly Ringo having fun in Abbey Road.
Robert Tepper - Don't know it , but would like to hear it.
Dixie Cups - I've never tired of it.
ELO - Very weird that they would forget Calling America on the box set (??)
Queen - Great tune - I think my sister in law has the album. RIP Freddie
John Denver - Very nice - I don't remember hearing this at the time.
Falco - Yes it did -and very quickly.
Pink Floyd - A buddy of mine bought the album at the time - not bad.
Rick Derringer - A classic from '74!
Eric Clapton - don't know it
Scorpions - Ditto
Dennis De Young - And this song was so popular back then - I was really suprised his solo career didn't take off.
Joe Jackson - I like quite a few of his songs but I don't know this one.
Phoebe Snow - Isn't it ? I remember my brother had the album but this was the only tune I was ever familiar with - I have it on Ktel's Music Express.
Jimmy Charles -Not familiar

Wango Tango-Ted Nugent 1980 I'm not familiar with this one - like Ken, the only two I hear on the radio are 'Cat Scratch Fever' and 'Stranglehold'.
Now-Edie Brickell & New Bohemians 1988 I only know 'What I Am' from that album - that one was pretty good.
Holding Out For a Hero-Bonnie Tyler 1984 Very energetic, powerful song. I'm surprised it didn't have more chart success.
Hallelujah, I Love Her So-Beatles-1960/95 I've never liked their covers as much as their originals.
Do Not Ask For Love-Monkees 1966/90 I'm terrible on these Monkees songs so far - don't know it.
Step Inside Love/Los Paranoias-1968/96 Not familiar.
No Easy Way Out-Robert Tepper 1986 One of my favorites from the Rocky IV soundtrack. I still have the 45, but haven't played it in ages.
Chapel of Love-Dixie Cups 1964 Nice, but I'm a little tired of it.
Destination Unknown-E.L.O. 1986 They should have included Calling America on that set, if it came down to choosing between it and this one.
I Want it All-Queen 1989 I must have missed hearing this one.
I'm Sorry-John Denver 1975 Remember hearing this lots back in the day. Very nice ballad.
Rock Me Amedeus-Falco 1986 I love the original 45 mix, but I don't like the version that now gets played on the 80s retro radio shows at all.
On the Turning Away-Pink Floyd 1987 Not their best, but good.
Rock-n-Roll, Hoochie Koo-Rick Derringer 1974 Great rocker! First heard this back in the early 90s.
Take a Chance-Eric Clapton 1987 I think I've heard this, but I'm not positive.
Rhythm of Love-Scorpions 1988 Not as good as some of their other hits.
Desert Moon-Dennis DeYoung 1984 I got a little tired of this at the time, but I like it more now that I don't hear it as much.
You Can't Get What You Want ('Til You Know What You Want)-Joe Jackson 1984 Always liked this - very jazzy. I have it on a cassette, but haven't played it in a long time.
Poetry Man-Phoebe Snow 1975 Absolutely beautiful, haunting melody. The full-length version is a must.
A Million to One-Jimmy Charles 1960 Another song I rarely hear. Not my cup of tea, but not bad.

Once again, I'm trying to hurry, so I'll just jot down the ones I know.
Holding Out For a Hero - The other one was a smash because it was awesome. This one? Not so much.
Chapel of Love - Like it, but Bette's done it too. Guess you know I like that one better.
Rock Me Amadeus - Ick.
Rock-n-Roll Hoochie Coo - This one got old fast.

Wango Tango-Ted Nugent 1980 Don't like this one Now-Edie Brickell & New Bohemians 1988 I love this album and played it to death. A good track. Holding Out For a Hero-Bonnie Tyler 1984 I loved this song when I was 14. From the Footloose soundtrack as well. Hallelujah, I Love Her So-Beatles-1960/95 Never heard it. Do Not Ask For Love-Monkees 1966/90 Step Inside Love/Los Paranoias-1968/96 No Easy Way Out-Robert Tepper 1986 Chapel of Love-Dixie Cups 1964 Thank goodness! A song I know. Overplayed and corny though it is. Destination Unknown-E.L.O. 1986 I too have never understood why Calling America wasn't on the box set. I Want it All-Queen 1989 I liked this one I'm Sorry-John Denver 1975 I just watched that cheesy made-for-tv bio with Chad Lowe playing Denver. Rock Me Amedeus-Falco 1986 Kind of annoying? Try SUPER annoying. I think I liked it the first time I heard it though. And he certainly had better songs. On the Turning Away-Pink Floyd 1987 No thanks Rock-n-Roll, Hoochie Koo-Rick Derringer 1974 Love it! Take a Chance-Eric Clapton 1987 One of my mom's faves Rhythm of Love-Scorpions 1988 Blech Desert Moon-Dennis DeYoung 1984 Why did he ever try? You Can't Get What You Want ('Til You Know What You Want)-Joe Jackson 1984 I like this one quite a bit. Poetry Man-Phoebe Snow 1975 I agree with your comments, but as dated as it is I still like it. A Million to One-Jimmy Charles 1960 I don't remember how this goes.

Call me crazy, but I think I'm caught up on the INSANE lists! Wango Tango--Annoying. Don't like it. Now--Don't believe I know it. Holding Out for a Hero--Not bad. Listened to it a lot on the Footloose soundtrack. The Beatles, Monkees, Los Paranois, and Tepper tunes--Don't know 'em. Chapel of Love--I'm with Lora. I like Bette's version. Destination Unknown--Seems like I should know this, but it's not ringing any bells. I Want it All--Love this. Never hear it anywhere though. I'm Sorry--Beautiful little ballad from John. A favorite of mine. Rock Me Amadeus--Liked it back in the day. Now I'm just tired of it. On the Turning Away--Really like it. Rock and Roll Hoochie Koo--Good song. Like to crank it up when I hear it. Take a Chance--Don't know it. Rhythm of Love--Don't know it. Don't wanna know it. Desert Moon--I don't mind this, actually. You Can't Get What You Want...Joe Jackson was never a fave of mine, but this song's pretty good. Poetry Man--LOVE this one. I need to find some Phoebe Snow on disc somewhere. I always liked her, but tend to forget about her. Great voice! A Million to One--It's ok. Kinda sappy.

Wango Tango-Ted Nugent 1980 Not familiar with it
Now-Edie Brickell & New Bohemians 1988 This either
Holding Out For a Hero-Bonnie Tyler 1984 I've always liked Bonnie's voice, but you're right, this one never came close to Total Eclipse.
Hallelujah, I Love Her So-Beatles-1960/95 Never heard the beatles version (or at least I don't remember hearing it. Always liked Ray's, though.
Do Not Ask For Love-Monkees 1966/90 Don't know it
Step Inside Love/Los Paranoias-1968/96 Don't know it
No Easy Way Out-Robert Tepper 1986 I think I remember it, but I'm not sure. It didn't leave much of an impression, anyway.
Chapel of Love-Dixie Cups 1964 It wore thin on me the first time I heard it. In my case at least, this would fit in the old YL category of "Songs you can't stand that you can't get out of your head"
Destination Unknown-E.L.O. 1986 Don't know it
I Want it All-Queen 1989 Don't remember it.
I'm Sorry-John Denver 1975 I always liked John's voice also, but you're right, Adam, this is not his best.
Rock Me Amedeus-Falco 1986 On second thought, Amadeus, leave me the &*#^$^* alone!
On the Turning Away-Pink Floyd 1987 Don't know it.
Rock-n-Roll, Hoochie Koo-Rick Derringer 1974 Eh
Take a Chance-Eric Clapton 1987 Not bad
Rhythm of Love-Scorpions 1988 Don't like it
Desert Moon-Dennis DeYoung 1984 Not a fave.
You Can't Get What You Want ('Til You Know What You Want)-Joe Jackson 1984 So-so
Poetry Man-Phoebe Snow 1975 I found this annoying.
A Million to One-Jimmy Charles 1960 A 19-year-old one-hit wonder. Good song; many memories.

The Monkees - Good tune! Adam IYO is the second volume the stronger of the three volumes ? The Beatles - I like it - cool to hear Paul ,John and possibly Ringo having fun in Abbey Road. ELO - Very weird that they would forget Calling America on the box set (??) Without a doubt, Volume 2 is the best! The first one I bought. Reasons it's the best-Live version of Circle Sky, inclusion of All the King's Horses, featured in a first season episode but not on any album, a superior version of Hold on Girl, and the original, raw, and IMO, SUPERIOR versions of both Words and Valleri, which were originally recorded just for the show. Not to mention two other tracks I really like, a Davy sung song, Changes, and a Mike song, If I Ever Get to Saginaw again, cut in the Buffalo Springfield/Poco mold. I don't remember the history of that track-was George absent? Yeah, they waited and included it in the second box.

Isn't that a great album?? You'll be seeing ALL the tracks on this list! We need to write Jeff and ask him!

A Million to One-Jimmy Charles 1960 A 19-year-old one-hit wonder. Good song; many memories. My dad and I made a tape for my uncle (his brother) where we had an "interview" with him. All his "answers" were really snippets of songs. My dad asked "him" what were the odds we would acknowledge his birthday unless their mother had the yearly party. *Cue song.....*
