day off, hah. Back in those days 1995-2001, I NEVER had this day off, LOL. Onward...
Wango Tango-Ted Nugent 1980 Absolutely LOVE this, right up there with Cat Scratch Fever.
Now-Edie Brickell & New Bohemians 1988 Next...
Holding Out For a Hero-Bonnie Tyler 1984 Awesome percussion.
Hallelujah, I Love Her So-Beatles-1960/95 Pretty good.
Do Not Ask For Love-Monkees 1966/90 Slow Monkeess? Hmmm...
Step Inside Love/Los Paranoias-1968/96 Strange titles to couple together...
No Easy Way Out-Robert Tepper 1986 From the best of the Rocky soundtracks, #4. Awesome song, Robert co-wrote "Into the Night" for Benny many years before.
Chapel of Love-Dixie Cups 1964 Reasonably good, though not quite top 500 for me.
Destination Unknown-E.L.O. 1986 I actually like this one! Not quite the same TOP-NOTCH song as Missing Persons, though.
I Want it All-Queen 1989 Potent rocker. The only one from "The Miracle" I'm real familiar with.
I'm Sorry-John Denver 1975 Perhaps my 2nd fave of John's, after "Country boy". LOVED this from my AM radio days.
Rock Me Amedeus-Falco 1986 Many novelties never tire me out. This is one of them, but I like the "Canadian" (historical rap) mix MUCH more.
On the Turning Away-Pink Floyd 1987 Of the 3 from "Lapse" that were faves of my senior class, I DETESTED this. Still pretty much do.
Rock-n-Roll, Hoochie Koo-Rick Derringer 1974 Man, this is ONE rock classic that only gets better with every listen. Likely forever in my top 5000.
Take a Chance-Eric Clapton 1987 Not my fave from August.
Rhythm of Love-Scorpions 1988 I actually like this, better than any ballad of theirs.
Desert Moon-Dennis DeYoung 1984 I LOVE this song. Just as great as typical Styx ballad stuff, and his solo career SHOULD have been bigger--even have a solo compilation on Hip-O records.
You Can't Get What You Want ('Til You Know What You Want)-Joe Jackson 1984 My 3rd fave of his. Man, does this brassy tune JIVE!
Poetry Man-Phoebe Snow 1975 I can't say enough how much I ADORE this song.
A Million to One-Jimmy Charles 1960 I've never been crazy big time for this, prefer lesser top 10's from 1960 like "Image of a Girl" and "Love you so".

Without a doubt, Volume 2 is the best! The first one I bought. Reasons it's the best-Live version of Circle Sky, inclusion of All the King's Horses, featured in a first season episode but not on any album, a superior version of Hold on Girl, and the original, raw, and IMO, SUPERIOR versions of both Words and Valleri, which were originally recorded just for the show. Not to mention two other tracks I really like, a Davy sung song, Changes, and a Mike song, If I Ever Get to Saginaw again, cut in the Buffalo Springfield/Poco mold. I don't remember the history of that track-was George absent? Yeah, they waited and included it in the second box. The Beatles - My guess would be was that George was probably working in another studio at Abbey Road.

Oh, but did you read that somewhere? I remember George saying in an interview that during the recording of the White Album in order to finish it in time they would sometimes use one or two of the other studios in EMI to do overdubs or whatever else that needed to be done.

Oh I see. I thought you read something specifically about that song and George not being there.
