Weird things that made you think of a song.

Didn't know where to put this post, but if y'all add stuff it becomes a list.

Tonight totally unplanned: My wife was talking to a cousin of hers on the phone, and they were talking about my mother who is 98, and lives in a nursing home near Boston. .. and my wife says "Ed's mother is one of the better ones there. Most of the people are in wheelchairs, and she can use a WALKER."

Without even thinking about it, all of a sudden I hear myself singing
"Shotgun. Shoot 'im 'fore he runs now. Do the jerk, baby.."

Same phone call... and my wife continues. " I hear it's very cold in Boston. I heard it was 3 DEGREES"

"..When will I see you again. When will our hearts beat together.." ;D ;D

I think I'm on these boards too much. lol

Damn, this happens to me all the time! My wife will say something to me, in seriousness, and I'll respond with a song based on what she said, and piss her off.



When I come up with one, I'll post it on here!

I was gonna say, even before this post, you're on here a lot lately! I appreciate that! And the effort you are making to put up some good posts.

My best friend and I have this thing when one of us uses a word that happens to be a song title, the other one will start singing the song. For example, if one of us is talking, and the word "misunderstanding" comes up, the other one will start singing "There must be some misunderstanding, there must be some kind of mistake..."

OMG--this just happened to me. I bought a magazine yesterday about storage ideas for the home, and underneath one of the photos, the caption began, "Stand tall."

Which, of course, immediately put Burton Cummings in my head. "Stand tall/don't you fall..."

AND NOW I CAN'T GET HIM OUT!!!
