Ok, H2 will have a hard time with this, and Pete will probably hate it-11 of 20 are new country songs! LOL!

For whatever reason, when I added the country songs, they all seemed to gravitate to one another. So it won't be like this for long. There are sections of the list where there are NO new additions.

This was a new track on third Greatest Hits album. It has since become her TV show theme. And then last year it was remixed for the TV show to sound more "hip".

5436. Cherry Hill Park-Billy Joe Royal 1969

The benefits of having a dad into music-hearing lesser heard stuff like this. He had the reissue on his juke with this as the A side, and Boondocks as the B.

My dad's friend got me this disc for my high school graduation, but I think August was way better.

When I was first living in Atlanta in 1975, I lived in an apartment complex called "Cherry Hill". The story was that Billy Joe Royal lived there when he wrote Cherry Hill Park. (He IS from Georgia, but I don't know if it's true or not - makes a nice story) Anyway, I like the song a lot.
