I hate the Click!!
APRIL FOOL!!!!!!
Ok, now that I made an ass of myself......
H2-NO new songs!!!!
5377 Half-Breed-Cher 1973
Back when Cher was a bit more tolerable. One of three 70s "people type" songs from her (Dark Lady & Gypys, Tramps & Thieves).
5376 I Go to Sleep-Pretenders 1981
Song you never hear on the radio. A decent slowy.
5375 Cradle of Love-Billy Idol 1990
Billy was fading here. Video was better than the song.
5374 Jumping Jack Flash-Rolling Stones 1968
Sorry, I know it's a classic, but I am WAY sick of it. Give me their psychedelic stuff.
5373 Day of the Eagle-Robin Trower 1974
I had heard about the former Procol Harum guitarist for years, and then a guy I knew had his signature album so I borrowed it. He recommended three songs. This was one. Good, but too bluesy for me.
5372 Manic Depression-Jimi Hendrix 1967
Not the best from his debut, but not the worst either.
5371 Money-Pink Floyd 1973
See, we are entering the part of the list where there are a lot of classics that have just been burnt by classic rock radio. Prime example.
5370 Break Up Song-Greg Kihn Band 1981 (previous ranking 3721)
This is on one of those tapes in my car that I mentioned in the post on the Main Board yesterday. In fact it's right after Rainbow's All Night Long. And I switch it off every time.
5369 Kiss Off-Violent Femmes 1983
Ok, Add it Up was the one with all the dirty lyrics? So which was this one again?
5368 (Just Like) Romeo and Juliet-Reflections 1964
Wow, this was 64? That year seems wrong. Anyway, not bad, sorta bubble gummy.
5367 Me and You and a Dog Named Boo-Lobo 1971
I am guessing, one of the corniest titles of all time. How exactly is the dog involved? EWWWWWWWW, bad taste!!
5366 Blue Bayou-Linda Ronstadt 1977
Funny how Roy, the man, sang it with an angelic voice, and Linda, the woman, sang it with a booming voice. She did it good though.
5365 Touch of Grey-Grateful Dead 1987
Their only hit was EVERYWHERE that year. Man, did that get annoying.
5364 Liar's Dance-Robert Plant 1990
One of the weakest tracks on the cutbin special, Manic Nirvana.
5363 Stone Free-Jimi Hendrix 1967
I actually heard Clapton's cover on the Hendrix tribute first. Not bad, but still not the best on that album.
5362 Another Saturday Night-Cats Stevens 1974
Kindof a strange cover for him, but apparently it was one of his faves. Decent, he did much better.
5361 Don't Give Up-Peter Gabriel & Kate Bush 1987
A duet from the album everyone owned. Oh, except me.
5360 Solitare-Laura Branigan 1983
Laura probably should have had a better career, but maybe she was too ordinary among the emerging Laupers & Madonnas of the music world.
5359 Pretending-Eric Clapton 1989
I just got way sick of the singles off this album.
5358 Baby, Don’t Get Hooked on Me-Mac Davis 1972
One of those songs that gets sighted when naming the bad songs of the 70s.
Have at it!
