5177 Being With You-Smokey Robinson 1981 Tired of this at this point.
5176 Down on the Corner-Creedence Clearwater Revival 1969
Among my least fave of the CCR songs. Something corny about it.
5175 Angie-Rolling Stones 1973
I guess Mick said, "If you sleep with me David, I'll write a song about your wife". Never was big on this one.
5174 The Night Chicago Died-Paper Lace 1974 A bit too bubblegummy for me.
5173 Come See About Me-Supremes 1964 There is a pack of Supremes songs that get pretty interchangable after awhile.
5172 What Becomes of the Broken-Hearted-Jimmy Ruffin 1966
As far as I know, this still gets fair oldie play. Decent.
5171 The Other Side of Life-Moody Blues 1986 The follow up single to Your Wildest Dreams. Nowhere near as good though.
5170 Anything For Your Love-Eric Clapton 1989 One of the better album tracks on a CD I don't totally love.
5169 Proud Mary-Creedence Clearwater Revival 1969
Back in like 6th grade, I loved this tune. But it has worn and I love so many other tunes more.
5168 I'm Henry VIII, I Am-Herman’s Hermits 1965 Probably one of the reasons Robert Plant makes fun of them so much.
5167 Rescue Me-Fontella Bass 1965
I think there was a time I thought this was Aretha. Still gets oldie play.
5166 Fallen Angel-Poison 1988
You know my feelings on Poison by now. 5165 Who Will Save Your Soul-Jewel 1996
This is a good one. Very nice. 5164 Rock On-David Essex 1973/74
One of those one hit wonders that the classic rock stations play the crap out of. 5163 All Right-Christopher Cross 1983 (new addition)
The reason this is new is because it's one of those songs I always knew, but I had to hear it on the Greatest Hits to go, "Oh THAT one!!" Pretty good tune.
5162 Western Waterloo-Poco 1974 (new addition)
After Richie was gone, and not surprisingly, not one of my faves from them.
5161 Ups and Downs-Paul Revere & the Raiders 1967
Wish this would get more play on the Timeless Rock station here. My dad had this on his juke box for years.
5160 My Cherie Amour-Stevie Wonder 1969 Tired of the "Da da da da da da......" Not among my faves from him.
5159 Little Old Lady From Pasadena-Jan & Dean 1964
Tired of this song, one of their signature tunes.
5158 1-2-3-Len Barry 1965
Fits right in with Jimmy Ruffin & Fontella Bass as soul songs that still get oldie play.
Go for it.

5177 Being With You-Smokey Robinson 1981 Wonderful, his best solo hit.
5176 Down on the Corner-Creedence Clearwater Revival 1969 If I had to name one song that's been run into the ground by the oldies stations here, it would be this one. I'm so tired of hearing it.
5175 Angie-Rolling Stones 1973 Not my favorite from them, but good.
5174 The Night Chicago Died-Paper Lace 1974 Didn't know this until '85. Nice 70s pop.
5173 Come See About Me-Supremes 1964 Good, one of their best early singles.
5172 What Becomes of the Broken-Hearted-Jimmy Ruffin 1966 I've always liked this one.
5171 The Other Side of Life-Moody Blues 1986 I seldom hear this anymore, but like it a lot.
5170 Anything For Your Love-Eric Clapton 1989 I may have heard this, but I'm not sure.
5169 Proud Mary-Creedence Clearwater Revival 1969 Their signature tune, and one of my faves.
5168 I'm Henry VIII, I Am-Herman’s Hermits 1965 I used to dislike this, but it's growing on me.
5167 Rescue Me-Fontella Bass 1965 She does sound a lot like Aretha. Good one.
5166 Fallen Angel-Poison 1988 I'm not too fond of their music.
5165 Who Will Save Your Soul-Jewel 1996 My favorite from her. Nice vocals and guitar.
5164 Rock On-David Essex 1973/74 Classic song I remember from when I was very young.
5163 All Right-Christopher Cross 1983 (new addition) I don't hear this much anymore, but always liked it.
5162 Western Waterloo-Poco 1974 (new addition) Don't know it.
5161 Ups and Downs-Paul Revere & the Raiders 1967 I have this on Legend, but haven't listened to it in awhile.
5160 My Cherie Amour-Stevie Wonder 1969 Love this - my favorite of his 60s hits.
5159 Little Old Lady From Pasadena-Jan & Dean 1964 A little overplayed, but catchy.
5158 1-2-3-Len Barry 1965 Good song. I've been hearing this a lot lately.

5177 Being With You-Smokey Robinson 1981 Love Smokey.. but this one is down pretty far on the list.
5176 Down on the Corner-Creedence Clearwater Revival 1969 I consider this and Lookin Out My Back Door as two atypical CCR songs. Both are catchy tunes though. I like Down On the Corner better of the two.
5175 Angie-Rolling Stones 1973 Not that bad really.
5174 The Night Chicago Died-Paper Lace 1974 I can't think of this without thinking of Billy Don't Be A Hero at the same time. Two of the worst that 1974 had to offer.
5173 Come See About Me-Supremes 1964 OK....I guess
5172 What Becomes of the Broken-Hearted-Jimmy Ruffin 1966 Pretty good soul song by David's brother.
5171 The Other Side of Life-Moody Blues 1986 The follow up single to Your Wildest Dreams. Nowhere near as good though. Not sure I know it.
5170 Anything For Your Love-Eric Clapton 1989 Don't know it.
5169 Proud Mary-Creedence Clearwater Revival 1969 Their signature song.
5168 I'm Henry VIII, I Am-Herman’s Hermits 1965 Fun song.
5167 Rescue Me-Fontella Bass 1965 One hit wonder. Not a bad song.
5166 Fallen Angel-Poison 1988 STILL can't think of a Poison song I really like.
5165 Who Will Save Your Soul-Jewel 1996 Don't know it
5164 Rock On-David Essex 1973/74 I'm actually liking this more and more.
5163 All Right-Christopher Cross 1983 (new addition) Not bad.
5162 Western Waterloo-Poco 1974 (new addition) Don't think I know it.
5161 Ups and Downs-Paul Revere & the Raiders 1967 I like others of theirs better. This one is just OK.
5160 My Cherie Amour-Stevie Wonder 1969 Good song. - Very good song.
5159 Little Old Lady From Pasadena-Jan & Dean 1964 Always enjoyed listening to it. RIP, Jan.
5158 1-2-3-Len Barry 1965 Never thought of this as a soul song really. I know that Len is white, and was a member of the Dovells - not a soul group. But just for grins, I did a Google on him, and found others refer to it as soul, and call Len a White Soul singer. OK.... whatever. Not a bad song, but not a fave.

5177 Being With You-Smokey Robinson 1981 Real tired
5176 Down on the Corner-Creedence Clearwater Revival 1969 Don't like this one much
5175 Angie-Rolling Stones 1973 Another song that I like more for my memories connected to it than the song itself.
5174 The Night Chicago Died-Paper Lace 1974 Kinda lame
5173 Come See About Me-Supremes 1964 Not my fave from them but better than "Stop..." and others
5172 What Becomes of the Broken-Hearted-Jimmy Ruffin 1966 Great original
5171 The Other Side of Life-Moody Blues 1986 Don't remember it
5170 Anything For Your Love-Eric Clapton 1989 Like this one
5169 Proud Mary-Creedence Clearwater Revival 1969 I've always like Tina & Ike's version better.
5168 I'm Henry VIII, I Am-Herman’s Hermits 1965 Hate this so much
5167 Rescue Me-Fontella Bass 1965 So many people attribute this song to Aretha. Poor Fontella...
5166 Fallen Angel-Poison 1988 Uggh
5165 Who Will Save Your Soul-Jewel 1996 In general I don't like her
5164 Rock On-David Essex 1973/74 Totally cheesy. Has not stood the test of time well
5163 All Right-Christopher Cross 1983 (new addition) I like this one a lot actually.
5162 Western Waterloo-Poco 1974 (new addition) Not their best.
5161 Ups and Downs-Paul Revere & the Raiders 1967 Don't know it by the title
5160 My Cherie Amour-Stevie Wonder 1969 Overplayed and over-covered but I can't deny that it's one of the prettiest songs ever.
5159 Little Old Lady From Pasadena-Jan & Dean 1964 Never liked it
5158 1-2-3-Len Barry 1965 I never hear this anymore actually.

5177 Being With You-Smokey Robinson 1981 The story goes that Smokey wrote this song for Kim Carnes, who'd had a hit the previous summer with Smokey's "More Love". She rejected it, so he did it himself. Then Smokey's "Being With You" sat at #2, right behind Kim's "Bette Davis Eyes" at #1! One of the great ironys in pop history! 5176 Down on the Corner-Creedence Clearwater Revival 1969 Better than 5169, but far from my fave by them. 5175 Angie-Rolling Stones 1973 They were still one of the biggest bands in the world, but after Exile they fell into a creative slump. 5174 The Night Chicago Died-Paper Lace 1974 Knew it since 1974, sometimes its fun to hear, but not often. 5173 Come See About Me-Supremes 1964 Not their best.. 5172 What Becomes of the Broken-Hearted-Jimmy Ruffin 1966 One of the more underrated Motown classics. 5169 Proud Mary-Creedence Clearwater Revival 1969 If I never have to play this on guitar again, I'll be quite happy! 5168 I'm Henry VIII, I Am-Herman’s Hermits 1965 Cutesy, but as you probably know, I'm not very big on "cutesy". 5167 Rescue Me-Fontella Bass 1965 I like it, but it's kinda worn off on me... 5166 Fallen Angel-Poison 1988 At the same time this came out, Frehley's Comet had a different song of the same name on their album. I like it MUCH better. 5165 Who Will Save Your Soul-Jewel 1996 I thought it was OK. I'm not big on her personally, (although I do think she's hot, but she doesn't want to hear that.. ) 5164 Rock On-David Essex 1973/74 Not bad, at least better than that awful cover in the late 80's. 5163 All Right-Christopher Cross 1983 (new addition) Yep, THAT song! I felt the same way, I knew it but not by title. When I heard the song I was like "O.K, I know it..." 5161 Ups and Downs-Paul Revere & the Raiders 1967 Yeah, I like it, except for that "Up, down, all around" part. There's better songs on their collection. 5160 My Cherie Amour-Stevie Wonder 1969 Nice mellow tune, he was starting to really come into his own by this point. 5159 Little Old Lady From Pasadena-Jan & Dean 1964 If I'm not mistaken, the Beach Boys did this on their Concert album from '64. 5158 1-2-3-Len Barry 1965 Great oldie, I'm sure it got played a lot at the time.

5177 - Being With You - I heard it lots back in the day . Never hear it anymore - thought it was pretty good.
5176 - Down On The Corner - Yes I have to agree it does get alot of radio play - but there isn't one CCR song that I can say I'm really tired of.
5175 - Angie - Like it very much.
5174 - The Night Chicago Died - A guy I went to elementary school with loved this back then. I have it on Ktel's Superstars album .
I love the episode of That 70's Show where Bob and Red are in the car with the radio on and Bob's singing it at the top of his lungs it LOL .
5173 - Come See About Me - Yeah those Supremes songs do have "that sound". It's still a fave though.
5172 - What Becomes Of The Broken Hearted - A very, very good tune.
5171 - The Other Side of Life - It's good but there are better Moodies tunes.
5170 - Anything For Your Love - Really like it alot.
5169 - Proud Mary - Still enjoy it.
5168 - I'm Henry The VIII . I Am - Still like playing the 45 now and then - My grandmother really liked it.
5167 - Rescue Me - Good stuff.
5166 - Fallen Angel -I have the album but have never listened to this one - LOL
5165 - Who Will Save Your Soul - Took awhile to warm up to but it's good.
5164 - Rock On - It sure does! I've always liked it - have it on CD.
5163 - All Right - Doesn't sound familiar.
5162 - Western Waterloo - I forgot about this one - I thought it was pretty good.I Like the banjo and the pedal steel guitar.
5161 - Up's and Down's - This is a fave as well.
5160 - My Cherie Amour - Quite good
5159 - The Little Old Lady From Pasadena - Love it
5158 - 1-2-3 - First aware of this back in the mid 70's courtesy of Ktel . Great song!

5177 Being With You-Smokey Robinson 1981 Great tune.
5176 Down on the Corner-Creedence Clearwater Revival 1969 Ditto. Like most of their other biggies, never got sick of it. Their 2nd tune I knew.
5175 Angie-Rolling Stones 1973 Wonderful ballad. Even notches better than "As tears go by".
5174 The Night Chicago Died-Paper Lace 1974 Good, but there were even better #1's from 1974.
5173 Come See About Me-Supremes 1964 Take or leave.
5172 What Becomes of the Broken-Hearted-Jimmy Ruffin 1966 Great tune. Paul Young did it even better.
5171 The Other Side of Life-Moody Blues 1986 Good one, but they had even better in the 80's.
5170 Anything For Your Love-Eric Clapton 1989 Not too bad.
5169 Proud Mary-Creedence Clearwater Revival 1969 Shows up high in most every oldies and classic rock countdown. No exception with my list as well, known this since VERY young.
5168 I'm Henry VIII, I Am-Herman’s Hermits 1965 Another winner! Knew this LONG before "Mrs. Brown".
5167 Rescue Me-Fontella Bass 1965 Man, has this song been used in TONS of ads. And schoolteacher Ms. Bass has reportedly not been happy of this. Decent tune.
5166 Fallen Angel-Poison 1988 Better than "Thorn".
5165 Who Will Save Your Soul-Jewel 1996 I like it.
5164 Rock On-David Essex 1973/74 Good one.
5163 All Right-Christopher Cross 1983 (new addition) Haven't heard this in a LONG time, but one Syracuse A/C station played this a LOT in 1983.
5162 Western Waterloo-Poco 1974 (new addition) Not familiar.
5161 Ups and Downs-Paul Revere & the Raiders 1967 Like their bigger ones, this is great too.
5160 My Cherie Amour-Stevie Wonder 1969 LOVE this to death. I may like this now more than ever before.
5159 Little Old Lady From Pasadena-Jan & Dean 1964 Man, my mom LOVES it. Gimme "New Girl in School" ANY DAY, PLEASE!!!
5158 1-2-3-Len Barry 1965 He may sound white, but the track is quite Motownish to me. Wonderful tune--a case where the #2 song was better than the #1 song the same week--the SUpremes' "I hear a symphony".

5177 - 5176. Don't know them.
5175 Angie - Rolling Stones
I'd LOVE to hear the whole story behind this... Don't know the song though.
5174 The Night Chicago Died - Paper Lace Eh. It's a fair song. Nothing I would seek out.
5173 Come See About Me - Supremes Another great one from this awesome girl group.
5172 What Becomes of the Broken-Hearted - Jimmy Ruffin
Evidently the broken-hearted disappear into rock oblivion...because I don't know this song.
5171 - 5170. Don't know these too.
5169 Proud Mary - Creedence Clearwater Revival
I knew this before Ike and Tina's version because my dad's a huge CCR fan. I really like this.
5168 I'm Henry VIII, I Am - Herman’s Hermits Catchy novelty song that wears thin on the nerves after a while.
5167 Rescue Me - Fontella Bass
Love it.
5166 Fallen Angel - Poison
Haven't heard this one before.
5165 Who Will Save Your Soul - Jewel
Really love her early stuff. Great.
5164 Rock On - David Essex
Don't know it.
5163 All Right - Christopher Cross
I think I know which one you're talking about here. Anyway, it's really catchy. I like it.
5162 Western Waterloo - Poco
Don't know it. Hey, did you know that one of these guys has a daughter that's an up-and-comer in the music world?
5161 - 5158. Don't know these here.

There is another story that the two of them were in a closet at a party with a third person. The third person left and those two stayed in for quite awhile. The third person? BETTE MIDLER. LMAO!!! 5162. Really, which one?

Being With You - Smokey's best stuff was in the 60s & early 70s. Didn't like this one
Down on the Corner - This is one of my CCR favorites
Angie - Great Stones song
The Night Chicago Died - Don't like it anymore, even occasionally.
Come See About Me - Good song
What Becomes of the Broken Hearted - Great song
The Other Side of Life - I'm not all that familiar with their 80s stuff.
Anything for Love - An average Clapton song.
Proud Mary - My favorite for a long time, now, it's not in the top 5 favorites by CCR
I'm Henry the Eighth - Silly
Rescue Me - Good song
Fallen Angel - Don't know it
Who Will Save Your Soul - Don't know it
Rock On - Great song. Dave Essex was only a one hit wonder in the states. Had many UK chart hits.
All Right - Probably know it, don't remember it. Will probably have to pull out the vinyl and listen to it now.
Western Waterloo - Don't remember it.
Ups & Downs - good song
My Cherie Amour - All over the radio in the summer of '69. Good song, not a favorite
Little Old Lady from Pasadena - Still the terror of Colorado Blvd. Great classic oldie.
1-2-3 - Good song.
