243. Cool 244.Beat Club was a popular music show that aired in Germany in the the 60's and 70's . Numerous bands appeared on the program over the years. Many of the music clips have shown up on various video and DVD compilations the past few years. Here is a link with info about the show www.tvtome.com/tvtome/servlet/ShowMainServlet/showid-8970/BeatClub/H2's probably seen numerous clips from it without realizing it-Strange Brew and especially Nights in White Satin have gotten huge play over the years off of that show.

Quite a number of big names on it too, looking at the episode guide. I guess the closest US equivalent would be Shindig or Hullaballoo, but they didn't last nearly as long. Are there ever any reruns on at all? I'd love to see it.

248. Funny. When you said that, I got a mental image of you putting on the cd and it keeps skipping so you have a hard time playing it.
244. Not familiar with Beat Club. Is it MTV, or a Canadian equivalent or what?
243. I have a picture sleeve of THIS one. 248. LOL

No reuns in North America except what Adam mentioned that I'm aware of unless maybe on a cable network . Rhino's Super Hits The 70's DVD contains footage of the show . I've also downloaded the odd clip off the internet.

Little Bit O Soul - Great tune, always loved it Angel In Your Arms - Never really liked it. Sometimes When We Touch - Another one I never really liked What Is Love - Know Beep Beep, not this one Wolverton Mountain - Don't hear it much anymore, great song You Are the Sunshine of My Life - One of my Stevie favorites Atlantis - It does get redundant towards the end, by a great song from Donovan Roses Are Red - Not a Bobby Vinton fan, good song Love Has Finally Come My Way - I familiar with some of Faron Young's songs, but not this one. Rubber Ball - Fun early 60s song.

Loved your comments. Unfortunately, there's only one song on here that I know, and that would be #248 - Sometimes When We Touch. I love the use of this song in the movie Superstar. It's so hilarious. And a guilty pleasure song for me too.

It may not be an album vs a 45 version. I'm not sure. It just may be a radio-edited 45 vs a "regular 45, I can't remember. But the verse that is omitted is: "At times I think we're drifters Still searching for a friend A brother or a sister But then the passion flares again" No bells ringing--it is the "45" version on "Nice Day" #21.

244. Yeah, because of the spoken part. I heard once that "Ringo" by Lorne Greene was considered the original rap song. Hmmm...I thought that was Big Bad John by Jimmy Dean LOL...
