Wow, is it Friday already??
4957 Eruption-Van Halen 1978
Most classic rock stations that know what they are doing play this along with Runnin' With the Devil. The instrumental that showed us just what Eddie could do. WOW!
4956 Wild Wild Life-Talking Heads 1986
Man, my dad loved this song for some reason. Good, just not great.
4955 I Heard a Rumor-Bananarama 1987
Not bad, a damn site better than the cover of Venus!
4954 She Blinded Me With Science-Thomas Dolby 1983
Wow, I didn't comment on this at first! VERY popular MTV video. Real tired of it now though. It was funny though.
4953 You’ve Got a Way-Shania Twain 1999
One of the 5,837 singles off her huge album. Nice, too slow though.
4952 Full Moon Turn My Head Around-Off Broadway 1979
Some of you MAY be familiar with their song Stay in Time. Apparently this album cut got play on the local rock station here. Decent, but nothing THAT exciting.
4951 American Dream-Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young 1989
The title cut to this lineups comeback album. Nice, typical Neil.
4950 Walking on Sunshine-Katrina & the Waves-1985
My dad has a friend who once called this the greatest rock song ever. Ok....................
4949 The Gambler-Kenny Rogers 1978/79
I really liked this at the time it was out. Not as big a deal to me these days.
4948 Wild Life-INXS 1987
Pretty good album cut from this huge album.
4947 Making Love Out of Nothing at All-Air Supply 1983
Don't know why this is this high. I believe this was written by Jim Steinman of Meat Loaf fan, and you can tell by the style of the song.
4946 Let’s Make Love-Faith Hill and Tim McGraw 2000/01
Before I fixed up the list, I had this on there twice! (Probably because I had a Faith list and a separate Tim list) But it shows you my mind keeps these songs at about the same place in my mind since they weren't all that far apart. They were so close, I can't believe none of us noticed it!
4945 Rock Around the Clock-Bill Haley & His Comets 1955/74
The official first song of Rock-n-Roll. (I know it can be disputed 1000 different ways, but it was the first number 1 of the rock era) Fun, but nothing I'd pop on.
4944 Early 1970-Ringo Starr 1971
The B side of It Don't Come Easy, this song describes each of the other Beatles, and Ringo's willingness to get along with each.
4943 It Must Have Been Love-Roxette 1990
At the time, for the time, I thought this was a nice ballad. But I'll live ok without ever hearing it again.
4942 She's Only Happy When She's Dancing-Bryan Adams 1984
Peppy little album cut from his hugest release. Decent.
4941 See You Later, Alligator-Bill Haley & His Comets 1956
One of the other biggies from Bill and the boys. Another fun song.
4940 Merry Christmas, Baby (Live)- Bruce Springsteen 1987
From the first Very Special Christmas CD. I can't be sure as I haven't listened to it in awhile, but I think it's a different version than the one recorded by Elvis and others. Not as good as Bruce's other holiday hit.
4939 No No Song-Ringo Starr 1975
Richie again! Probably the only song in history where you get to hear someone snorting coke. Fun song. 4938 Love’s Theme-Love Unlimited Orchestra 1973/74
Nice disco instrumental.
Go for it!

Once again, it looks like I'm gonna know very few on here. Where's all the country gone too? 4957 - 4955. It seems like I never know the first few on each day's list. Weird, isn't it? 4954 She Blinded Me With Science - Thomas Dolby Oh my gosh. This song gets on my nerves so freaking bad. I've heard it so many times and it's just...so...ew. 4953 You’ve Got a Way - Shania Twain There WERE a whole lot of singles from that album. But it was really good. I actually have that one. Never listen to it, but have it. 4952 - 4951. Not familiar with these. 4950 Walking on Sunshine - Katrina & the Waves Your dad's friend is insane. Although this can be quite catchy... 4949 The Gambler - Kenny Rogers And you know how I feel about Kenny Rogers. 4948 - 4947. Don't know these two. 4946 Let’s Make Love - Faith Hill and Tim McGraw I like this one, but not as much as It's Your Love or Angry All The Time, which wasn't really a duet per se, but Faith did sing back-up. 4945 Rock Around the Clock - Bill Haley & His Comets Fun song, but I associate it more with Happy Days than good rock music. 4944 - 4942. Don't know these. 4941 See You Later, Alligator - Bill Haley & His Comets More tolerable than the other since it doesn't get nearly as much play. 4940 Merry Christmas, Baby (Live) - Bruce Springsteen Never heard this. 4939 - 4938. Also don't know these.

4957 Eruption-Van Halen 1978 Not the best cut from that album, but pretty good.
4956 Wild Wild Life-Talking Heads 1986 I've never really warmed up to this one.
4955 I Heard a Rumor-Bananarama 1987 Excellent, one of my favorites from them. I bought the 45 back in the day.
4954 She Blinded Me With Science-Thomas Dolby 1983 Brings back a lot of memories of my freshman year.
4953 You’ve Got a Way-Shania Twain 1999 I've probably heard it, but can't place it.
4952 Full Moon Turn My Head Around-Off Broadway 1979 Don't know this.
4951 American Dream-Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young 1989 I know a song with this title by the Dirt Band, but I don't think it's the same one.
4950 Walking on Sunshine-Katrina & the Waves-1985 Catchy, but I liked it more then than I do now.
4949 The Gambler-Kenny Rogers 1978/79 My best friend and I used to sing along with this all the time. Good one.
4948 Wild Life-INXS 1987 Not familiar with this.
4947 Making Love Out of Nothing at All-Air Supply 1983 I didn't like this when I first heard it, but it's grown on me quite a bit since then.
4946 Let’s Make Love-Faith Hill and Tim McGraw 2000/01 Not my favorite from her.
4945 Rock Around the Clock-Bill Haley & His Comets 1955/74 Definitely a classic, and fun to hear occasionally.
4944 Early 1970-Ringo Starr 1971 Good, but he had better ones.
4943 It Must Have Been Love-Roxette 1990 I never really cared for this one.
4942 She's Only Happy When She's Dancing-Bryan Adams 1984 Good album cut.
4941 See You Later, Alligator-Bill Haley & His Comets 1956 I love the part where they play this in Compleat Beatles!
4940 Merry Christmas, Baby (Live)- Bruce Springsteen 1987 I think I heard this last Christmas season, but I'm not sure. If it's what I'm thinking, not a bad song.
4939 No No Song-Ringo Starr 1975 Fun, catchy song - I have the 45.
4938 Love’s Theme-Love Unlimited Orchestra 1973/74 Love this!! One of my favorites from '73.

4957 Eruption-Van Halen 1978 Don't know it 4956 Wild Wild Life-Talking Heads 1986 I remember hearing this song back then, several times. But I can't remember how it goes now. (Kinda like you, Adam, with Nineteen Days. 4955 I Heard a Rumor-Bananarama 1987 It's not bad, but I've never been a fan of this group. 4954 She Blinded Me With Science-Thomas Dolby 1983 I've said before, this song is scary. -- But has been growing on me lately. 4953 You’ve Got a Way-Shania Twain 1999 Don't know it 4952 Full Moon Turn My Head Around-Off Broadway 1979 Don't know it 4951 American Dream-Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young 1989 This is one of those songs that I heard over and over again but never knew what it was. It was years later that I figured it out. Very catchy tune. I like it. 4950 Walking on Sunshine-Katrina & the Waves-1985 Back in The Day, one of my co-workers was a wee bit on the effeminate side. (Not that there's anything wrong with that! ) He went through a period of time when if someone asked him how he was doing, he replied "Walking On Sunshine". This song always reminds me of him. Musically, I can't stand it. 4949 The Gambler-Kenny Rogers 1978/79 I've always liked this song. It suits Kenny's voice perfectly. More so than can be said for any other song he has sung. 4948 Wild Life-INXS 1987 Don't know it. 4947 Making Love Out of Nothing at All-Air Supply 1983 Good song; one of their better ones. 4946 Let’s Make Love-Faith Hill and Tim McGraw 2000/01 Don't know it 4945 Rock Around the Clock-Bill Haley & His Comets 1955/74 The ultimate Rock N Roll classic, some would say. Comes from the movie Blackboard Jungle, which was all about {{shudder}} Juvenile Delinquency. The song may represented a milestone - the first milestone, but musically, it's really rather weak. Bill Haley's style was more like Pat Boone's than like Elvis' or Chuck Berry's. It was pure whitebread rock. If this song comes out a year later, Rock N Roll is already established, and this song goes nowhere. 4944 Early 1970-Ringo Starr 1971 I've listened to it a few times, but never much cared for it. 4943 It Must Have Been Love-Roxette 1990 Not bad (and not that good either). 4942 She's Only Happy When She's Dancing-Bryan Adams 1984 Don't know it. 4941 See You Later, Alligator-Bill Haley & His Comets 1956 Again....whitebread rock. Apparently the title first came from a Cockney expression. One aspect of British humour involves expressions with rhyming words, where the second word rhymes with the first, but is not needed within the context of the meaning of the sentence. Again very Pat Boonish 4940 Merry Christmas, Baby (Live)- Bruce Springsteen 1987 Don't know it. 4939 No No Song-Ringo Starr 1975 Not bad, but Ringo put together a whole string of these fairly mediocre songs. 4938 Love’s Theme-Love Unlimited Orchestra 1973/74 Fine instrumental

4957 - Eruption - Still remember when I first heard it - Wow 4956 - Wild wild Life - Like it very much - Found the 45 at our local swap meet awhile back. 4955 - I Heard a Rumour - You are so right! 4954 - She Blinded Me With Science - I still listen to it every now and then. 4953 - You've Got A Way - Have to agree it is a bit slow. 4952 - Full Moon Turn My Head Around - not familiar but I know Stay In time very well 4951 - American Dream - Excellent. 4950 - Walking On Sunshine - Still think it's very catchy:) 4949 - The Gambler - Haven't listened to it in a really long time but it is a great song. 4948 - Wild Life - Don't recall. 4947 - Making Love out Of Nothing At All - It's ok but I thought they did better ballads. I did hear it alot at the time. 4946 - Let's Make Love - It's alright from what I can remember. 4945 - Rock Around The Clock - Remember hearing this when I was very young . Good stuff! 4944 - Early 1970 - One of my all time favorite Ringo tracks . Love the slide guitar on it. 4943 - It Must Have Been Love - Nice tune but not something I listen to everyday. 4942 - She's Only Happy When She's Dancing - Just terrific - still love to crank this one up. 4941 - See You Later Alligator - Great childhood memories of hearing this one as well. 4940 - Merry Christmas Baby - Gets lots and lots of play in the house at Xmas time. 4939 - No No Song - I wore out my 45 badly! LOL back then which should give a clue how much I liked it . My cousins and I use to sing along with it. 4938 - Love's Theme - Great song - very groovy

Eruption--Very cool. Wild Wild Life--Isn't this from a movie? Always liked the song. I Heard a Rumor--Not a favorite. She Blinded Me With Science--Lots of memories of this one. Great song. Very different. You've Got a Way--This was ok, but there are other Shania songs I like better. Full Moon Turn My Head Around--Never heard of it. American Dream--I know I know it, but I can't place the tune at the moment. I think I like it though. Walking On Sunshine--This was one of my favorites back in the day. I thought Katrina and the Waves were gonna be the Next Big Thing. Guess I was wrong. The Gambler--Pretty good song. I don't mind hearing it every once in awhile. Wild Life--Hmm...apparently, this song was only "half" as wild as the Talking Heads song. ;D Making Love Out of Nothing At All--Wimpy, sappy, boring song that I don't like at all. Can ya tell? Heehee. Let's Make Love--Ick. Another wimpy, sappy, etc. Rock Around the Clock--Classic. But not one I'm real crazy about. Early 1970--Don't think I know it. Sounds like it might be interesting though. It Must Have Been Love--Kinda tired of it by now. She's Only Happy When She's Dancing--Title sounds familiar. I'd probably know it if I heard it. See You Later Alligator--This one's ok. Not heard quite as much as Rock Around the Clock. Merry Christmas Baby--Not too bad, but not a Christmas song that I'd play a whole lot. No No Song--What a fun song to sing along to when you're 12! Love's Theme--Not crazy about it.

Eruption--Crank it up! Disapponted the Greatest Hits doesn't include it with "Got me"--musta been the remake/copyright thing...
Wild wild life--Yeah! Awesome ending!
I heard a rumour & She blinded me...--2 of the 80's best!
You've got a way--Nice.
Off Broadway--Only know Stay in Time.
American dream--One of the 2 GREAT songs from the 1988 album. The other one's "Night time for the generals" After 15 years, still DETEST "Got it made".
Walking on sunshine--Pretty much represents the 80's. What's not to like--eternal top 500 for me!
The Gambler--first of his GREAT 4 tunes he put out back-to-back. SUPER stuff.
Wild life--Not a bad tune off Kick!
Making love...--Pretty one.
Let's make love--OK.
Rock around the clock--even if this wasn't among the all-time biggest, it's still eternally in my top 25. Unbeatable.
Early 1970--Good.
It must have been love--Great group, but far more overplayed than their other smashes.
She's only happy...--Awesome, better than some of the Reckless hits.
Alligator--I'd NEVER put this higher than "Clock", but it's still great--eternally top 1500!
Merry Xmas baby--always preferred "Santa Claus/town".
No no song--Cool man.
Love's theme--eternal top 300 for me. Just THAT great.

4957 Eruption-Van Halen 1978 Good one.
4956 Wild Wild Life-Talking Heads 1986 Not their best.
4955 I Heard a Rumor-Bananarama 1987 Love this! Maybe my fave from them.
4954 She Blinded Me With Science-Thomas Dolby 1983 "Science!!" Totally dated but still enjoyable.
4953 You’ve Got a Way-Shania Twain 1999 I get a lot of her song titles mixed up. I can't remember this.
4952 Full Moon Turn My Head Around-Off Broadway 1979 Hmmm, both song titles are familiar but I don't recall the music.
4951 American Dream-Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young 1989 Just ok
4950 Walking on Sunshine-Katrina & the Waves-1985 Overplayed to within an inch of its life.
4949 The Gambler-Kenny Rogers 1978/79 Hee. One of those songs that everybody between the ages of 25 and 75 knows.
4948 Wild Life-INXS 1987 One of the better tracks from that album.
4947 Making Love Out of Nothing at All-Air Supply 1983 My grandma was a fan of this
4946 Let’s Make Love-Faith Hill and Tim McGraw 2000/01 I've only heard this song once or twice. OK I guess
4945 Rock Around the Clock-Bill Haley & His Comets 1955/74 I'm one of those people that likes to debate its claim to that "first song" title, but I won't go into that. ;D Anyway I've always thought that this song was overrated but I think you had to be around in the 50s when it came out to appreciate it.
4944 Early 1970-Ringo Starr 1971 Don't know this
4943 It Must Have Been Love-Roxette 1990 Boy, I certainly was guilty of loving this song when it came out. I still have a soft spot for it.
4942 She's Only Happy When She's Dancing-Bryan Adams 1984 Haven't heard this in over a decade.
4941 See You Later, Alligator-Bill Haley & His Comets 1956 Can't remember how this goes, don't care
4940 Merry Christmas, Baby (Live)- Bruce Springsteen 1987 Pretty good but I like the other Xmas tune better too.
4939 No No Song-Ringo Starr 1975 Don't know it
4938 Love’s Theme-Love Unlimited Orchestra 1973/74 Love this. An important instrumental.
