You Are So Beautiful--My dad absolutely hated this song. So naturally, I'd play the 45 whenever I could when he was around. LOL! Let's Work Together--Big Bear? Blind Owl? Ok...Obiously I don't know this song, and am not real familiar with Canned Heat. LOL! What a rebel you are! Yes, all the forest animals played in Canned Heat!

4811 Freebird-Lynyrd Skynyrd 1974/75 Overplayed for sure but a great song nonetheless. I can't remember what movie I was watching that had this in it and it actually gave me goosebumps. 4808 Spirit of Rock-n-Roll-Beach Boys 1984* This might have been the concert they filmed in Washington DC for July 4th 1984. If it was then - I was there! 4811. Forrest Gump? It was used to great effect when Jenny was out on the ledge. 4808. COOL!!

4817 I Want You So Bad-Heart 1987 Don't know it, but the title alone tells me I wouldn't like it...
4816 You Are So Beautiful-Joe Cocker 1975 A lot of people don't know this, but the song was co-written (and uncredited) by Dennis Wilson. He was with Billy Preston at the piano when Billy wrote it, and it has been confirmed that Dennis did in fact have some input. It was a concert staple for the Beach Boys for many years, when Dennis would come down from the drums and make the girls swoon...
4815 Give a Little Bit-Supertramp 1977 Good early hit, but they did better..
4814 Cry-Godley & Crème 1985 Not bad, kind of a disposable '85 hit...
4813 Working My Way Back to You- Frankie Valli & Four Seasons 1966 LOVE this. Their run of hits from 65-68 are just TOO good!
4812 Time (Clock of the Heart)-Culture Club 1983 My favorite of the Culture Club hits.
4811 Freebird-Lynyrd Skynyrd 1974/75 Eh....
4810 The Tracks of My Tears-Johnny Rivers 1967 No thanks, I'll take Smokey...
4809 Let's Work Together-Canned Heat 1970 Think I have this on 45. I know I have Wilbert Harrison's version on the Time Life 1969 CD.
4808 Spirit of Rock-n-Roll-Beach Boys 1984* OK, now I know why you wanted me to answer this post. Most of the stuff that happened after Dennis died is kind of a blur to me. I always get this song mixed up with "Rock-n-Roll To The Rescue", because it's a similar title. Anyway, I had NO idea that the Beach Boys ever did this. I do know that it was Brian's song, and he recorded it as a duet with Bob Dylan on his unreleased "Sweet Insanity" album from 1990. I'll have to do a little investigating, I know it's mentioned in my book "The Wilson Project".
4807 Does Your Mother Know-ABBA 1979 (previous ranking 3405) Good one.
4806 Lawyers in Love-Jackson Browne 1983 One of the few Jackson Browne songs I know.
4805 Vogue-Madonna 1990 Got played a lot in clubs, but I lost interest in her around this time.
4804 Right Now-Van Halen 1992 I didn't like it at the time, but now I like it. Still, it was emotional sap like this that made me dislike Van Hagar all these years. Sammy is right wing, but he wrote a song about smoking pot in Amsterdam.. Weird.. 4802 Big Bang Baby-Stone Temple Pilots 1996
4801 Tight Rope-Leon Russell 1972 Have it, but don't care much for it.
4800 (What’s So Funny ‘Bout) Peace, Love and Understanding-Elvis Costello 1979 I like it..
4799 Dawn (Go Away)-Frankie Valli & Four Seasons 1964 The start of some big years for this group!
4798 Simon Says-1910 Fruitgum Co. 1968 Liked it when I was 7, but I'm not 7 anymore....

I knew that he did this at the mike, eyes closed, arms behind him, one hand hooking the other arm. 4808. I don't know that the Boys did it as a group-on record. This was a concert performance. Maybe I shoulda put "Live" after it. 4804. Much like Toby Keith does all these pro-war songs, and I recently found out he is a Democrat!

I don't know-Cocker's song is the world famous ballad billions of people have used at weddings. Then it's the same one. I hate Kenny Rogers.
