Some of you have to play catch up!
4777 Midnight Blue-E.L.O. 1979
Not the Melissa Manchester or Lou Gramm song. Just a later album cut that is not bad, not great.
4776 One of My Turns-Pink Floyd 1979
A very psycho album cut from The Wall. Cool though.
4775 Song That We Were Singing-Paul McCartney 1997
Paul's Flaming Pie album wasn't bad, and sound wise, it was more stripped down than Flowers in the Dirt and Off the Ground. This is one of the good ones.
4774 Laguna Sunrise-Black Sabbath 1972
I sought this song out after I found out it was cut from the CD version of We Sold Our Soul.... Interesting instrumental.
4773 See Emily Play-Pink Floyd 1967
Pretty cool early psychedelic hit from Pink.
4772 What a Girl Wants-Christina Aguilera 1999/00 (previous ranking 1274)
Ok, maybe it should be lower, but look at the original ranking! Her voice wasn't too bad on this though.
4771 Rain on the Roof-Lovin’ Spoonful 1966
One of their unjustly ignored singles.
4770 Here Comes the Moon-George Harrison 1979
It has been said George wrote this while on acid for the first time in 10 years. And 10 years after Here Comes the Sun!
4769 White Lightning-Angel 1977
This one's decent, but they had already peaked.
4768 Time Heals-Todd Rundgren 1981
A song that got MTV play, but seems to be left off his single disc compilations.
4767 Mountain of Love-Johnny Rivers 1964
This one is decent, if a bit corney.
4766 At the Hop-Danny & the Juniors 1957/58
Typical 50s dance song faire.
4765 Stranger-Billy Joel 1977
The whistling at the beginning always reminds me of Winds of Change by the Scorpions. This got LOTS of play on the last classic rock station here.
4764 Rag Doll-Frankie Valli & Four Seasons 1964
I prefer this over the more typical faire like Sherry and Walk Like a Man.
4763 Someplace Else-George Harrison 1987
One of the slowies from George's huge comeback album.
4762 Say You Will-Foreigner 1987/88
This was ok, but they were over their peak period.
4761 Baby, I Need Your Lovin'-Johnny Rivers 1967
Johnny's cover of the Tops classic. (See tomorrow) I have a cool clip of him doing this on Sullivan.
4760 Take My Breath Away-Berlin 1986
Liked this a lot back then, don't think much of it now.
4759 She’s Got a Way-Billy Joel 73/81/82
Do you believe that original year? Nice enough, I guess, but I'm just not big on Billy.
4758 Best of Both Worlds-Van Halen 1986
I remember when MTV played the live video to this day after day after day after day....I didn't think much of it begin with. BEST.....OF......BOTH.....WORLDS......REAL annoying.
Go for it!
